I recently visited Spain and book this company for tours of Islamic history of Southern Spain. It was the best experience I could ask for! I learned so much in such a short period of time. The tour guides were well educated on Islamic history with multiple degrees to back up their knowledge. Me and my family were visiting Spain this winter and decided to visit the Alhambra in Granada. We had a private tour with Mariam and she was amazing. She was very kind and a very good tour guide. Words cannot express how happy my family and I were with our entire experience with Omeya Tours. Brother Hisham was outstanding in working with me to create a 10 day visit to southern Spain/ Al-Andulucia flying in and out of Madrid. The tour took us from Madrid, to Toledo, to Cordoba, to Seville, to Granada, and then back to Madrid. Our personal guide and driver for the entire trip was Brother Hamid, who took the utmost care of myself and my family, providing his vast knowledge as a Spanish Muslim, his help to book restaurants and additional excursions, and to provide safe passage for us throughout our entire trip. All of the individual city guides were so knowledgeable, friendly, and respectful in each of the cities we stayed. I would also highly recommend both a traditional Flamenco show in the caves of Granada, and the olive oil tasting tour, a life changing experience. A lovely trip learning about the Islamic history in southern Spain with Omeya Tours. The trip felt like a large hang out with a bunch of old friends. The setting was relaxed and enriching in so many ways and I feel a huge reason behind that was the quality of our tour guides. What can I say other than this group provided an experience nothing short of excellence and maybe the best vacation I’ve ever had. From the moment our trip started, our tour manager was on top of their game. Hotels all set up and ready to go. Not to mention, busses and tour guides for each of the tours were organized. The tour guides had knowledge of not just the immediate history of the places visited, but also the history of the place during the Islamic period. It provided us a perspective other tours may not have provided us. Lastly, the manager themselves was amazing. Laying out all the zabihah halal options as well as places to check out in each city. Any questions, they were willing to answer them and would go out of their way to make sure this was a memorable experience. I would do this trip again and would be hesitate to say the least.

I connected with Hisham and it was really smooth and hassle free coordination and he was able to customize the trip for is even though I shared I we only have 5 days in Spain and we wanted to do hot air balloon and helicopter ride hence the tour eventually became a customized one. Omeya Tours is the perfect way to spend a guided tour of Spain. Our tour touched upon the Islamic, Jewish, and Christian heritage of Spain, balanced by the modern sites and history. Hisham, the guide for the trip, is one of the kindest, earnest, thoughtful, hilarious, and interesting folks to travel with. His breadth of knowledge on Spain made our bus rides a pleasant guided surprise. He is a wonderful conversationalist and carries with an air of reserved excitement that is magnetic. The small stories and nuanced details given made the trip more memorable and meaningful. I could not imagine the trip without his careful curation. The trip itself felt sprawling, five cities in eleven days. We covered those of prime import to the fall of the Islamic rule as well as many other important sites. The balance of free from exploration and guided tours felt perfect. Timing was smooth and the longest we had to wait for a bus was around 10 minutes, fault not of the tours but of the bus services, more often than not it would arrive at the exact moment the group was ready. Our guide would constantly be tracking progress and trying to move things at pace. Every day was something new and unexpected, yet perfect additions to our time in Spain. If I ever were to go back with a group I would go through Omeya Tours. Eleven out of ten, exceeds expectations and would recommend to any who would take a group to Spain.
