Tapas Tour with Irene – A Wonderful Evening in Granada We had such a fun evening on our tapas tour with Irene! My wife has food allergies, and Irene went above and beyond—she called ahead to all the restaurants to make sure there were plenty of safe and delicious options for us to enjoy. We even stopped at a local deli to sample different types of Ibérican ham and cheeses, which was a real treat. Irene is friendly, knowledgeable, and so easy to connect with—she truly made the night special. We both agreed that if we ever moved to Granada, she’d be one of our first friends!

Delightful tour with our host June, who took us ( two couples) to a few places to sample delicious tapas and local wines. She explained what we were eating, preparation methods and fun facts. Everything was really tasty and well paired. A really fun evening- highly recommend this tour!

June was our guide and did a fabulous job taking us to a variety of tapa bars. We enjoyed her food selections. She also gave us many suggestions of places to go on our own. We went to 3 of them and enjoyed each one. This is a wonderful tapa tour! All the wine was delicious too.

We had a fantastic tour with Irene this week and thoroughly recommend this. It was just my husband and I and we learnt so much about the food, the wine, tapas and the city of Granada itself. Irene gave us many recommendations too for our stay in Granada. The food and drinks were delicious and filling, be prepared and save your appetite.

It was a great afternoon of drink and tapas around Granada with an excellent guide (Irene), experiencing some lovely local hang-outs. Not only did we learn about the history of the city and all the things to look for while on a culinary hike through the city streets, Irene was a friendly and knowledgeable person who laid the groundwork for us to make our own tapas adventures. Such a fun time!

Had a wonderful tapas tour with Ramon. Food was delicious, tapas places were smaller, charming and seemed most frequented by locals, drinks were great, and Ramon's storytelling of history and gastronomy made it an unforgettable experience. I did food tours in Barcelona and Madrid, too, and this was by far my favorite one.

Armando, our guide, was engaging and thoughtful about making this a good tour for our group. Enjoyed this tour a lot!

Irene was a wonderful guide…informative, relatable, and very knowledgeable about area wines (as she used to own a Granada wine shop). We choose the classic tapa tour. The food was very good, esp at La Botilleria. Her choices of wine were excellent but she accommodated for beer and non-alcohol as requested. We learned about her background from the Netherlands and transition to Spain. Lots of lively conversations in our group of 6. Highly recommend this tour.

A Must-Do Experience in Granada! Our private tapas tour with Granada Tapas Tours was a highlight of our trip. Gayle made planning so easy and she went out of her way to help with other planning questions outside of our tapas tour! Our guide, June, was absolutely wonderful—warm, knowledgeable, and fun. She took us to authentic local spots we never would have found on our own, where we enjoyed fantastic tapas and wines while learning about the city’s history and culture. It felt like exploring Granada with a friend, and by the end of the afternoon we were full, happy, and completely charmed. Highly recommend this experience to anyone visiting!

We spent 3 hours with an excellent guide, Ramon. He was interesting, very well spoken and his English was superb. The food/ drink combinations were unique. His knowledge of the history of Granada was highly informative and full of anecdotes. Well worth the money if you are interested in food, wine and history if the region. Highly memorable!

Granada Tapas Tours were wonderful, it was a very small group and intimate experience. We had the pleasure of June who took us around Granada, and previously fell in love with the city when visiting one day. June was very knowledgeable about the food and city history, including once-a-year events which happened to be occuring on the day of the tour. We were shown some very interesting, historic and wonderful places, none of which you would probably give a second glance, but served brilliant food. June also gave restaurant recommendations which we tried and were impressed by. Overall the tour was wonderful and definitely a must do if you have an oppotunity in Granada.

Spent a lovely evening with delightful host Valentina whose love for Grenada shone through the stories and information about the city she shared. A great choice of 3 bars, each with drinks and tapas, made us feel like locals! Booking was easy, price reasonable and I felt very comfortable as a solo traveler. Would definitely recommend.

Did this last year and it soured us on food tours. We were the only two and with a guide that seemed unprepared. The food was far less than expected (although good). Very disapointing and we stopped elsewhere after for dinner.

Had a fantastic food tour led by June. She was very insightful about Granada with lots of great recommendations. The food, wine, and company was great and highly recommended if visiting Granada. I recommend booking this at the beginning of your stay to take advantage of her recommendations.

Had a great tour with guide Ramon. If you have done food tours before, please note that this one is much less structured than you may be used to; the website says it’s more like “meeting up with an old friend” and it definitely felt that way. Ramon was a wonderful guide and I had a great time, had some excellent food and drink and learned a lot about the city and its history.

Lovely and entertaining! Ramon proved to be a smart, professional and kind guide leading us into some of the best typical bars in downtown Granada, with detailed tales and descriptions that turned us, for a couple of hours or so, more into "granadinos" than tourists...and of course tapas & beverage were great! The local life food tour with Ramón was wonderful! We went to a coffee and breakfast place, a tapas place, a pastry store, a store for Iberian ham store with wine and olive oil too, and more! We learned about and tried so many different Spanish foods. Along the way, we also learned about the climate, the culture, the language, and the history! Ramón is so knowledgeable and so friendly, he makes an awesome tour guide!

Our evening tour of the Albayzin neighborhood with tapas was incredible! Loved learning about the history of this part of Granada. We tried wine, beer and vermouth and for food we had an omelette, fried eggplant, meatballs, a meat stew and more. Armando was a great guide!

We had the best time on our Tapas Tour in Granada this past Spring Break. We traveled with our family of 11 people and our tour guide, June, was amazing! We loved the places she took us and the information and stories she shared with us along the way. She made efforts to connect with all of us and we had some of our favorite bites of food on the tour. She also gave us recommendations for other restaurants. I highly recommend the tour and this group. They were very helpful and responsive when I was looking for a Tapas tour.

An insiders guide to the Tapas scene in Granada

June was a fabulous guide. She took us to cool places that most tourists would never find, including a bar with a 100+ year old history that created and served a fermented pomegranate drink that you can't get anywhere else (and it was delicious). She asked what food and drink we were in to and adjusted the tour to include a bar with local beer (my favorite). During the tour she gave us suggestions for what to do in Grenada, and where to eat, based on our food preferences. If the other guides are anywhere close to as good as her, you can't go wrong with this company.

Armando was an amazing guide. He spoke very easily the entire evening and was so knowledgeable about Granada and the history of the area. We visited three different bars and got to try six different tapas. It was a great experience and so nice to be with a local who could show us how to enjoy tapas and learn more about this city.

Very good. We did the Albaycin tapas tour on 26/03/25. There were 5 in the group plus our guide Armando. Armando was warm, fun and personable, giving us tips for the rest of our time in Granada. We went to 3 tapas bars where he likes to go with his friends. The drinks and tapas were good and we have gone back to the places on our own. Recommend as a great orientation for your time in Granada.

Armando was a fabulous guide for our Moorish Tapas walk. He was engaging, knowledgable, kind and patient. The 3 tapas bars he took us to were authentic, off the beaten path, and delicious. I would highly recommend this company and specifically Armando.

Our guide June, had lived in Granada for 20+ years and owned her own Tapas bar at one point! She was a perfect fit to lead us on this tour. Every location we stopped at had rich food / drink history in Granada that we had a hard time finding for ourselves online researching before our trip - or never would have found on our own! We enjoyed every Tapa and the diversity of beverages was a nice added bonus. A small company offering great tours we would recommend to anyone who visits the area.

What a great experience learning about tapas culture, and eating some delicious food at tapas bars I would not have found. June was a fabulous guide, with many years of experience living and eating in Granada. She left me with a list of places to go on the rest of my trip, and the confidence to order the right wine and tapas on my own.

Did a really fun Moorish Walk + Tapas Tour last night with our native Granadan tour guide Armando. My husband and I met at the Mirador de San Cristobal for a beautiful overlook of Granada. We strolled the twisty lanes of the Albayzín district for an hour, while Armando explained history and architecture. By 8 pm, we’d made our way back downtown and began our Tapas Tour, by the end of which we’d been treated to a glass of wine and TWO glasses of vermouth and at least six tapas each. It was fun discussing Granada, Spain, politics, family and a zillion other topics with our young Spaniard guide!

We had a wonderful night out with our guide Armando. It was really like going out for tapas and drinks with a local friend. Each of the places we visited were great (Casa Mol, Taberna Granados, and Casa Colón) and showed off a good variety of tapas. Note each tour is different so you may go to different bars entirely. Armando was friendly and gave us some good local knowledge about the parts of the city we were walking through as well as some things to look for during our visit to Granada. Highly recommend this tour!

I don’t think I can emphasize how much we loved our “foodie” tour with our guide, June! She was absolutely incredible; we could not have asked for anything better. The tour was very well structured and it was clear that lots of thought and preparation went into everything. We now see Granada (and Spain overall) through a whole new lens. Before June’s tour, I thought Granada was “alright.” But after the tour, I started looking at real estate listings— dreaming of a different life in this magical city. I cannot recommend this experience enough. Book it on your first day or two in town because you’ll get lots of recommendations for perfect itineraries and stops for your time in Granada. You won’t regret it!

We booked it last minute, and they were able to accommodate a tour for the 6 of us... thankfully, because June, our tour guide gave up her Saturday to make ours memorable! ❤️ she was an absolute delight... from London, yet married 24 years to her Granada husband. It was a delight to spend the evening with Armando on the Local Life tour from Granada Tapas tours. He was a fabulous host and guide, and is incredibly knowledgeable!  He gave us a starter kit for an evening picnic and we added to it in the three shops we visited (sampling along the way). He explained how tapas worked in Granada. Then we went to two tapas bars in an area of town we hadn’t been to before. Both the wine and tapas were fantastic! We had a wonderful time. Our group of 6 friends took a Granada Tapas Tour with Blanca. She was the absolute best tour guide! She was so friendly, helped us try some new tapas that speak to the region, we had wonderful drinks that she helped pick to go with our tapas, and we learned even more information about Granada in general. One of our favorite evenings on our whole trip to Spain! June was such a great guide and so much fun. It was like we were hanging out with a new friend who came armed with killer food suggestions and a bunch of interesting trivia about Granada. I'd recommend you do this on your first night in town, as you'll get the lay of the land about Granada's unique tapas culture and come away with a bunch of great dining suggestions for the rest of your stay.

Ramon was outstanding. Not only did he take us to interesting tapas places, he explained each drink and tapas, introduced us to the history of food and agriculture in Granada, and answered our questions along the way. We've taken several tapas tours in Spain and this was by gar the best.

We did this tour as part of our honeymoon trip to Spain, and I'm so glad we did! Our guide, Cristina, was amazing! At first, I was nervous because we were the only ones on the tour, but I'm so glad we had the one-on-one time. I appreciated that she took us to places that she goes to regularly and not the usual tourist spots. She was super friendly, and it felt like we were catching up with an old friend. The two hours went by fast! She also gave us recommendations for other places to visit during our stay. There are a lot of tours to choose from, but I'm glad I came across this one.

Gayle was an excellent communicator about our booking, and June was an exceptional guide and host for the evening. June was on time, and right on cue, the downtown fountain we met her near kicked on and provided a beautiful water show as we said hello and learned about the evening. I had the pleasure of experiencing the Granada Tapas Tour with June, and it was one of the highlights of my trip. June's bubbly personality made the tour feel incredibly intimate and engaging. She seasoned our journey with fascinating local lore and urban legends, adding a unique flavor to the experience. We tried six different tapas across 3 bars. The range was impressive: starting with a delicious fried Brie in raspberry coulis ending with the staple bread with seasoned tomato. Throughout the tour, we were introduced to local favorites like tinto de verano and Veryijana, a robust local red wine that complemented the tapas beautifully. If I had one suggestion, it would be to visit six different bars for the six tapas. It would allow for even more variety and a chance to explore more of Granada's vibrant bar scene. Nonetheless, the experience was fantastic, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to explore the local flavors and culture in a fun way.

This was INCREDIBLE!!!!! Maeve was an absolutely amazing tour guide and was a wealth of knowledge about the city of Granada! She took us to places with variety in food and atmosphere. She was super friendly and personable making the tour all that much more enjoyable. One of my friends in the tour has Celiac and Maeve was extremely accommodating and went to each of the tapas bars before our tour to ensure my friend would also have a great experience. Absolutely a MUST do if you are in Granada!

We booked this on a whim having seen the tour feature in a YouTube video on Granada and I’m so glad we did! Cristina was our incredible tour guide and we spent three hours wandering through the Albaicín and other parts of Granada city eating tapas and dishes we’d never tried before. Each place was so different and unique and the food was absolutely amazing. Cristina was so much fun, we had such an amazing time!

My husband and I were the only two people on a lunchtime walk through the Albaicín followed by a tapas tour along the main street of Granada. Our guide, Armando, was fantastic! He was knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. He answered all our questions along the way and helped us feel comfortable with the tapas scene. We tried many different tapas as well as local wine, vermouth, and the popular tinto de verano. Armando was accompanied by Javier, a guide in training. Javier was equally as friendly and knowledgeable, chiming in with his perspective and knowledge of the area. We honestly felt like we were out with friends rather than on a guided tour. It was awesome to squeeze into packed bars and tabernas with locals and really get to know how tapas works. We would highly recommend Granada Tapas Tours for anyone looking to immerse themselves in this uniquely Spanish experience!

Fantastic experience, I would highly recommend to anybody visiting Granada for a few days like us. Absolutely perfect. This was the best food tour I’ve ever been on and June was our exceptional guide. It was what you hoped a tapas experience would be when come to Granada instead of the cheese and meat boards or olives,etc. We went to two places, weren’t crowded and had incredible tapas and wine at each. Our guide Armando walked us to a few bars - sharing fun facts about the name of the city, the local geography, and culture along the way. He entertained so so many questions. We stopped at a few bars -- each bar included one drink and a tapa or two. I don't drink alcohol, but the drink did not matter; soda pop and water worked fine. I eat meat, and the meat tapas were good, but so were the vegetarian ones. Armando took care of paying each bar. At the end, we paid the agreed price for the tour plus a tip for excellent service.

She took us to bars and restaurants serving the best tapas and drinks, and her knowledge of the area meant that we were also able to visit some sites in Granada that we would otherwise not have known about. The 2 of us had a lovely evening with Rámon visiting tapss bars in an untouristy area of Granada. We had two tapas and a drink at each of three tapas bars. Rámon did a charming and delightful job sharing his knowledge about Granada's food, drink and local history. We both have mobility issues. Gayle and Rámon came up with an itinerary that took our limitations into account. It really was a pleasure to spend the evening in a beautiful area of the city with an enthusiastic ambassador.
