HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! We arranged for a private food tour with Marc and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. As a family that enjoyed traveling, we have gone on group food tours before but this one was definitely #1 as voted by all of us. Marc was very entertaining, informative and attuned to the kids mood and energy levels. He was a natural conversationalist, equally comfortable with the adults and kids. Whether you sign up for a group or individual tour, just do it!

Our family of 7 vacationed in Girona this year and we were lucky to get a food & market tour with Marc booked at the start of it. Marc taught us all about the Catalonian culture, the city of Girona, the incredible food available from both markets and local restaurants, and gave us lots of ideas for other parts of the area to explore while we were here. Marc is a wonderful guide, it's easy to see his passion for the area and he kept everyone engaged throughout the 3+ hour experience. It was a highlight of our trip for sure! Highly recommend!!

Myself and 10 friends did this tour last week guided by Noah and Elmeria?! Sorry I may have got her name wrong but she was incredible as was Noah. The tour was very interesting and opened our eyes to the history and culture of the area but the in depth knowledge and friendly nature of the guides made it such a good time. We sampled some incredible food and drink and all had such a good time I would honestly recommend it to anyone! The owners Marc and Fiona were absolutely brilliant from start to finish too and we felt so welcome which was great. 5 stars from us lads from England!

We spent the day with Marco. He was excellent. Super fun to hang out with. We learned about the city of Girona and were able to taste the incredible food along the way. Strongly recommend this historic food tour.

Marc was a fantastic guide with a lovely personality and lots of knowledge about the history and context of the delicious food we enjoyed. We were a relatively large group of 9 and we felt he did a fantastic job of connecting with each and every one of us. Additionally, Marc seemed to know each of the restaurant owners and operators that we visited personally and it really felt as though we received an inside look into Girona’s community. He also never made us feel rushed and was very considerate to a member of our party who was confined to a wheelchair. All in all, we cannot recommend Marc and Girona Food Tours enough!

This is a brilliant tour for any group to do. Mark brings the history of this special city to life in a unique and interesting way and the food stops give a great insight into the wonderful food and culture of Girona. A Cava and some very nice wine thrown in adds up to a great evening out. Throughly recommend Mark and his tour.

We, a group of 5 good friends on holiday at Camiral Golf and Wellness, signed up for a gourmet food and wine tour of Girona by night with Girona Food Tours. It was most certainly the highlight of our holiday! Marc is an amazing host and guide and Jazzy was super to deal with in the booking and organisation phase leading up to our tour. Marc helpfully organised a private transfer for us to and from Girona which made our night run very smoothly. Marc is so knowledgeable about Girona, its history, gastronomy and culture. He showed us some hidden gems that we returned to the following day. He gave us a very good sense of the layout of the city which was very helpful. The food and wines we tasted during the tour were delicious and there was plenty! Everybody we came across during the tour in restaurants and shops was very welcoming and friendly- and clearly very fond of Marc. The time flew by. What a super tour. We would recommend this tour to anybody visiting Girona. Thanks so much Marc and Jazzy.

What a beautiful tour! Maria, our tour guide, was an absolute star! She accommodated all food restrictions and she was very welcoming. We had great time socialising with others on the trip- Maria helped as well. We got plenty suggestions where to go and what to eat, as well as where else we should go to visit. Absolute must do in girona if you're a foodie!

Excellent food tour. Gina, our guide, was fantastic. She was brilliant. We visited so many restaurants, markets, ice cream stalls and ate lots of delicious food that we never would have found on our own. She also gave us lots of great recommendations for places to eat when we had time. Furthermore, she included so much rich history in the tour. Brilliant experience!

Our guide Gina was outstanding, the places we went were wonderful, and the food was outstanding. We learned a lot. This is one of the best food tours that we have been on.

We had a tour arranged for our Company retreat and it exceeded our expectations. We were quite a large group with quite a few dietary restrictions and they did a good job accommodating us in this regard. The tour was very well organized and we got to see many different attractions and taste a bunch of delicious foods. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and personable.

She speaks excellent English which was a plus for us. She was also very helpful about restaurant and food recommendations. She was a joy to be around!! We had a great experience with Girona Food Tours! Private tour included a good mix of Girona history and food stops, and we enjoyed our tour guide Marc. The jamon shop was definitely a highlight!

In short, an amazing tour which we cannot recommend highly enough! For a longer review read on... Girona is such a fantastic town that we have visited many times and for a long time we wanted to be guided around the incredible array of food stores, markets and restaurants that the city offers. The quality generally is very high indeed, but we were still missing local knowledge and the inside track on things. Girona Food Tours has a nice shop window in the centre of town that caught our eye years ago but this time we emailed to make contact. We got a very quick reply from Marc, the proprietor who we met and immediately liked. So... we signed up, the two of us. Just at the moment, tourism is a little quiet in Spain of course, but even though we were just a group of two, Marc made a special Itinerary for us tailored to our wish to see local food and to discover Catalan flavours. Typically the tour might be four hours, but by the time we had been introduced to the owners of all the shops we went to and had little samples of delicacies and visited the amazing Girona food market and stopped five times for a drink or bite to eat, we ran to more like seven hours! This wasn’t bad planning, but instead just a sign that Marc loves his work. He loves to guide and show and teach and his passion meant that no one was checking the clock. There’s really too much to relate, but we met the lady whose shop makes chocolate and owns the African estate where the cocoa beans are picked (amazing), a very old bakery, an amazing Jamon shop, met a farmer and sampled Cheese including some he makes himself, an amazing butcher and fishmonger... I could go on. Marc is at last fully open for business following lockdown and if you want a special day of laughter and culinary adventure you should go. I won’t say the price, but it really was not expensive All the tastes and food along the way was part of the package but I must admit that we couldn’t resist buying quite a few gorgeous foods and wines. Our expedition has been a highlight of the trip to Girona and I think it’s an absolute must. This is starting to sound like an advert, but it’s just an honest review from two people that had an amazing time and would love you to share it too!

This was a major highlight of our recent visit to Spain. If you are visiting Girona (which i highly recommend) you should absolutely book a food tour with Girona Food Tours. We had an amazing time tasting delicious pastries, bread, chocolate, ham, wine and other local delicacies. But this is so much more than a food tasting. Marc is incredibly knowledgeable about food and the history of Girona and led us on a wonderful walking tour of the city and we learned so much along the way. Marc is a great storyteller, engaging speaker and his love of Girona inspired our entire group. I am already planning our next trip to Girona and am looking forward to our next Girona Food Tour.

Awesome experience! Marc went out of his way to show us things we were interested in and taught us so much about the cultural history of Catalunya, which is as always such a big influence on the food scene. His tour is a great deal and a fantastic introduction to Griona.

Fantastic tour around a beautiful city!! We couldn’t believe how many samples we got to try! Pat was extremely informative and you can tell how much she loves her job!! A definite must when visiting girona!

This tour is run by Girona Food Tours, but that only tells half the story. It's a fantastic way to really get under the skin of this amazing city. Our tour guides Marc and Patricia split our large group of 17 and taught us not only the gastronomic delights of Girona, but also it's history and how it operates on a day-to-day business. They were both so friendly and knowledgeable throughout the day - and even accommodated not only our huge group, but they waited for us when we missed our train and were a bit late. They couldn't do enough to help us. For approximately 70 euros each, you really do get valuer for money. We sampled local meats, seafood and even ice cream. And we had a sit-down tapas meal with wine, which allowed us all to catch our breath mid-way through what was an enthralling four-hour tour. All in all, this is a must-do activity if you're visiting Girona. I guarantee you'll learn so much!

Marc was very accommodating, as we scheduled a tour very last minute. The tour is all about learning the history of the city, the culture, and how food intertwines into all of it. We walked away amazing photos, but most importantly full of food, wine and an understanding of Girona as if we had lived there our entire life. Very energizing tour, very engaging and we'll planned out. Worth it!

Highly recommended if you want to get to know the interesting history of Girona as well as eat your way through the town. We learned a lot and the food was extremely delicious! Lots of cool history that we later recognized in souvenirs that we never would have known if we hadn't gone on the tour.

Very informative on both the local food and drink and also on the city of Girona. A relaxing walk through various areas of the city taisting and drinking a wide sampling of foods from deserts to meats. Each stop showcased a local delight. Our guide (Pat) did an excellent job and I would highly recommend this tour. There are so many things to see and do in Girona, but if I had to pick only one....this would be the tour to take.

If you're a foodie or a history buff this tour is a must for when you're in Girona. It combines the best of the two- you get to learn all about the city as you explore it, eating your way through. Markets, shops, restaurants, epic photo spots- you'll visit them all as you make your way through Girona. This tour was the highlight of my time in Girona and I've recommended it to several people since I took it.
