I just came back from the Horizons Cycling 7-day Croatia trip (Split → Makarska → Hvar → Korčula → Pelješac → Dubrovnik), and it was honestly one of the most memorable travel experiences I’ve had with my family. Every day was different and beautifully designed: from riding through Split’s old town and up Marjan hill, to conquering Sveti Jure in Biokovo (super nice), pedaling past lavender fields in Hvar and having fun at night in the local bars, wine country in Korčula, oyster and seafood feasts in Ston, and finally exploring Dubrovnik from the saddle. The logistics—ferries, vans, private boats—ran seamlessly, and it felt like every detail was thought through. An itinerary that I wouldn’t be able to replicate even if I came to Croatia 20 times. We swam in the ocean in every bike stop that we did, so kept it fun (and refreshing) as well 😃! The guides (Pau, Andreu and Genis) were exceptional: supportive, knowledgeable, and full of good humor (and super good van music). The mix of challenging rides, cultural immersion, and amazing food/wine created the perfect balance. If you’re looking for a cycling trip that challenges you, rewards you, and connects you deeply with the country you’re riding through, this is the one. Croatia was spectacular, and Horizons Cycling made it unforgettable.

Horizons Cycling's acronym (HC) perfectly sums up my fourth trip with them: Hors Catégorie—beyond categorization! Imagine riding with awesome people through stunning landscapes, enjoying post-ride beers in the pool, or even at a campfire INSIDE the pool (next level!!!). This was our second trip with Pau and the Horizons team. There aren’t enough words to describe the experience fully. We explored the most beautiful and unique countryside of Slovenia. The grandeur of this magnificent country has made it our favorite destination so far. Horizons curated every detail with excellence and precision. The routes were legendary; tough but stellar. I now cant imagine seeing a country without a bike. We saw quaint mountain towns and villages that wouldn’t be experienced as thoroughly without 2 wheels. The team at Horizons Cycling is excellent. For our trip, a group of local cycling friends from the States asked Pau at Horizons to put together a cycling trip in a destination that we had all wanted to go to but somewhere that they had never been, let alone run a trip out of. Just got back from an unforgettable trip to Taiwan with Horizon Cycling, and I can confidently say this was one of the most well-organized and inspiring cycling experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, everything ran like clockwork. The Horizon team had every detail dialed—airport pickups, bike setups, hotel logistics, nutrition, support vehicles, and of course, the routes. Taiwan is an absolute hidden gem for cyclists: smooth roads, jaw-dropping scenery, incredibly kind locals, and climbs that rival the Alps in both beauty and brutality. We tackled the iconic Wuling Pass—3,275 meters of pure Type 2 fun—and it was one of the most rewarding efforts I’ve ever experienced on two wheels. The sense of accomplishment at the summit, with clouds rolling below and a 360° view of Taiwan’s dramatic peaks, was surreal. Horizon’s crew made sure we were fueled, supported, and safe every pedal stroke of the way. The off-bike experience was just as impressive: amazing local cuisine, cozy accommodations, and cultural immersion that gave the trip even more depth. It never felt rushed; everything flowed naturally with the perfect blend of challenge, exploration, and camaraderie. Incredible experience with Horizon Cycling. We enjoyed an epic experience trough the French Pyrenees, and despite tough weather conditions, Horizon provided a high class support. They provide unique lodging places, wonderful gastronomic places and 24x7 support for anything you may need. They knowledge of the areas where they organize experieces will assure you unforgetable adventures. In 2024 we repeated experience with Horizon Cycling and they were able to improve our previuos road. Even riding in th same are we discover new impressive landscapes, local gastronomy and high class support form Horizon Team.

Truly incredible! I have worked as a guide previously myself and knew our tour organizer before we booked so my expectations were very high from the get go. However, nothing could’ve prepared me for how far Horizons Cycling surpassed those expectations! Literally every aspect of our trip was well above and beyond anything I have experienced; the staff, the accommodations, the dining experiences, the riding routes, hospitality, everything. Had an incredible time cycling from the Piedmont Alps to Nice, France. The route was amazing, and Horizon Cycling really nailed it. They provided great support throughout the rides, making sure everything went smoothly from start to finish. The hotels, inns, and B&Bs were top-notch, and the food was fantastic, especially the breakfasts and dinners. Marco kept us fueled and hydrated with great food and drinks from the support van during the rides. It felt like we were stopping at a gourmet deli or bakery at every break—it was truly remarkable. Pao and Andres were awesome to ride with — strong cyclists who made sure we were okay during some really tough climbs. Thanks to their guidance, my cycling has improved a lot. This was an unforgettable experience, and I’d definitely do it again. Thanks, Horizon Cycling!

Pau and his team are top notch. We did a 6 day tour through the Italian Dolomites and it was the trip of a life time. Our accommodations were gorgeous and the food spectacular. My fear was that I would not be able to keep up with only 12 weeks to really train. But Pau convinced me otherwise and he was right! He fitted me with a Pinarello EBike and it gave me that extra push I needed to complete 8 passes including Stelvio and Gavia. We are still talking about this trip.

Thanks to Pau and his team we had a great biking experience in Norway. The planned routes we excellent and we couldn't believe the incredible views and great places all around Norway's farmlands. From the day we arrived in Oslo to the last day of our trip in Andalsnes and Alesund, everything was perfectly organized by the Horizons Cycling team. Bikes were first class, lunch or coffee stops well planned, the hotels were incredibly nice and confortable and restaurants and food very well selected. We had a wonderful tour of Girona, Costa Brava and a little taste of the Pyrenees. Pau has guided us twice before in France, and based on that experience we knew we wanted him to lead us around his own stomping grounds in Spain. The roads were amazing, the medieval towns, amazing views, and incredible accommodations. Pau is professional, knowledgeable, courteous, immensely prepared, and obviously a great rider. He kept a great pace for us on all terrain. Andreu provided support and he was first class in every way. Every need was taken care of. In addition to the daily rides, coffee, lunches, Pau chose the best accommodations and made our dinner reservations in fantastic restaurants. Horizons will take care of you every need, even anticipating what you will want and create a memorable tour in Spain. And we can personally vouch for his expertise in France and there is no doubt he can lead your trip in any destination. Kudos as well to Andreu. We appreciate the great positive spirt he had and help getting our bikes just right. He is an equal gentleman to his skill as a mechanic. Thank you again and hoping we are able to have another beatiful trip in the future.

Pau and his team put together an exceptional trip through three of the Canary Islands. Everything was taken care of -- route, bikes, hydration and snacks, lodging, and all of the meals. All we had to do was show up and ride (and be in awe of the amazing scenery)! I've never felt less stressed on a vacation that I did on this trip, and I am definitely looking into future rides with Horizons Cycling. The route was a great combination of scenic and challenging, with a morning briefing to set expectations and frequent rest stops with snacks and water. We had a variety of different levels of fitness on the trip, and the team worked to make sure we all had a great time -- the van was available to give someone a ride to the next stop if they were having too much difficulty and wanted a break. In addition, Pau provided a rental e-bike along with battery swaps for one member of our group who knew they would need it to be able to keep up. I could fill a lot more space praising the food and hotel arrangements... but suffice to say that we were delighted by both. We stayed in locations ranging from a villa in Lanzarote's wine country to a mountaintop hotel to a luxury resort. The food was delicious and it was more than enough even after days of riding.

Pau and his staff delivered on every level possible. Lodging was an exquisite 16th century palacio with modern finishes. The bikes were brand new and top shelf. The cycling routes took us across vineyards, down strikingly beautiful cliffs with ocean views and through quaint fishing villages. But the most striking part of the trip was that we, as the clients, never really had to make a decision. Everything we wanted just seemed to happen naturally and effortlessly. There were few if any questions. For the entire duration of the trip every day began with a delightful experience that then naturally flowed into the next until it was time to sleep again. We would show up to coffee shops during rides or arrive at restaurants for dinner, be taken to the best table in the place and coffees or the best things on the menu would seemingly magically just arrive at our table. And this was excellent in the moment but also had a cumulative effect on us as individuals and the group as the trip wore on. Without having to make any decisions for several days in a row, we all could relax in a way that I have never really experienced during my adult life. Decision fatigue plagues highly functioning adults in today’s world. And Pau and his highly intelligent, perceptive and caring staff relieved of us that burden for five wonderful days. And they did all the work in a relaxed and happy manner which helped support our relaxed state. For anyone considering a trip with Horizon Cycling, I urge you to seize the opportunity. The experience I had was wonderful but possibly the best thing about the experience is what it wasn’t. Pau and his staff give their guests a vacation from the day-to-day burdens of living so we could simply relax and appreciate the joy of being alive. Well, that and really great cycling.

When my husband and I were invited to be a part of the Taiwan Recon trip with Horizons we booked immediately as neither of us had been to Taiwan. We are so glad we did! The trip was possibly one of the best we have been on and we have done many, many cycling trips. The trip was so incredibly well organized! Everything was top notch—from the bikes (Fara) to the rides to the hotels to the food. From the moment we arrived until we left a week later, we were taken care of—all we had to do was ride our bikes. Our group was small and we became instant friends. Taiwan is a beautiful, beautiful island and Pau at Horizons showed us the very best parts of it. We cannot wait to go back and are in the process of booking our next adventure with Horizons!

There is wonderful peace of mind about embarking upon an adventure without planning or expectations. I do a lot of solo adventures so joining an organized trip has been a departure from the usual but boy did it deliver! The experience of a lifetime. Horizons planned exactly the trip we had dreamed of. We wanted scenery, coastal beauty, iconic roads, and classic food, and we had all of that and more. The attention to detail was astounding. The planning process was well-communicated, logistics were smooth, the guiding was world class. Bike routes were perfect, nothing too challenging, always classic, beautiful, and open roads. Guides were supportive and motivating. The whole Horizons staff took such good care of us, were so kind and considerate and fun to be around. We had the best food of our lives, saw the most amazing views, and recommend Horizons (and Pau!) to anyone looking for a bike tour (and food tour, and scenic tour).

Without exaggeration, Horizons delivered the best vacation experience we’ve ever had…by far. Pau and Horizons Cycling came through with a trip of a lifetime for me and my girlfriend. The routes Pau led us on each day were the perfect match for our abilities and preferences, and every inch included spectacular scenery. Just when we needed a brief break each day, there was Josep with a gourmet snack or lunch of real food and cold drinks. Pau was also able to gauge our pace perfectly whether going up, down, or on the flats. To top it all off, Pau and Josep are great people - is there anything they don’t do perfectly?!

My bike was cleaned, tired topped off and water bottles filled every morning before our ride. I highly recommend Horizon Cycling—one of the best vacations I’ve taken!

This trip was great. This was my 2nd trip in 4 months with Horizon's Cycling. I think Pau does a great job of showing the highlights of the area where I have booked my trip. It was great to be in his home area this time and see how well connected he is in Girona and also the knowledge of the area. I will be booking another trip in the future. Pau was great in keeping us safe (I broke a spoke and changed plans due to the rain coming), introducing us to great food and local treats. He helped us book a private chef, massage, and museum tours.

Wow, what an amazing week on a bike. Pau and Petra were fantastic guides and exceeded expectations to make sure we had an unforgettable trip - and we certainly did that! Amazing routes, remarkable food, impeccable lodging, and breathtaking scenery around every corner. Horizons Cycling takes care of it all.....just show up ready to ride and have an awesome time. Already looking forward to the next trip!

Norway .. such a beautiful country and I got to experience it in the best way possible .. on my gravel bike .. Oslo ‘s forests and lakes , bottom to top fjords and cycling to glaciers in the Norwegian mountains ! .. such a well designed trip with exceptional hotels and food and a terrific cycling guide !

I have done two trips with HC, one in the Pyrenees and one in the Alps, and they were both amazing. Pau is such a great tour guide and planner. The choice of routes is excellent, with stunning views and beautiful climbs. Everything else, like food, hotels, dinner places: just perfect! Pau always wants to make sure that riders have everything they need and he does this with much love and passion. Very much looking forward to the next epic trip with Horizons Cycling!

My recent Pyrenean trip with Pau from Horizons Cycling was my first ever multi-day cycling trip, and I was very impressed. The routes were spectacular! Sometimes covering classic HC climbs, or alternatively more secluded forest roads that only a local would know. Pau seamlessly took care of all the logistics, including bike hire, hotel bookings, restaurants, and tips for sight-seeing. He's a magician, everything is solvable, and you barely notice him working behind the scenes. Each day all we had to do was push the pedals, enjoy the stunning views, and consume as much local cheese, fruits, and pastries as we could. Then post-ride beers/wine by the pool. A perfect holiday, I couldn't have asked for more. And apparently, we only just scratched the surface of all the routes in Pau's head. Will definitely go with Horizon Cycling again, highly recommended!

I just spent one of the best weeks of my life. The Pyrenees tour with Horizons Cycling had it all: from finding out what we wanted over planning the most beautiful routes to always having cold drinks, freshly sliced fruit and a big smile waiting for us at the Cols. And the awesomeness does not stop with the ride, but Pau will also show you the most authentic local places. Just perfect. Do it!
