North West Iberia Wine Tours

We didnt go a north west tour, but all I can say is several years ago I reached out to them for assistance in organising a tour for my husband and myself and they were wonderful, Adrian was more than helpful so.much so that im embarrassed a few years later that its taken me this long to do a review, everywhere he sent us us was just fabulous. So much that we are still ordering wines from a few of the wineries today. If you have a chance to experience one their tours do it.

We had a wonderful few days with Adrian as our very accommodating and knowledgeable guide. We were shown around some fabulous vineyards and also sampled some wonderful cuisine at restaurants that we wouldn’t have found on our own. A very well organised and enjoyable experience of the Rias Baixas and the Albariño wine region. Would highly recommend.

This was our first time in Rioja, but our second time touring with Adrian. We had a wonderful week exploring the area and a variety of wineries. Adrian did a great job scheduling big name producers as well as small producers. Every stop was fantastic. His hand picked selection of restaurants for lunch were amazing. We traveled with my sister and brother in law and we all thoroughly enjoyed our time. This was our second trip with Adrian, but definitely not our last. Cheers!

Our two days with Adrian was a highlight of our two weeks in Europe. He customized a tour for my wife and me and set us up in a wonderful hotel that we would not have found on our own. We visited several wineries, including a last minute pivot when the weather didn’t cooperate with the planned outing on a fishing boat. Not your run of the mill tour company. This is a personalized tour led by a local providing an opportunity to learn about life in Galicia - lots of great wine and food!

We had a cruise port stop at A Coruna and Adrian was our guide. He met us at the ship pier and we had a wonderful time on a private tour of the city. Lots of food, wine and fun! Highly recommend a tour with Adrian.

We’re so glad we worked with Adrian for our three-day wine and food tour in Galicia. Aside from handling numerous logistical details with ease and creating a perfectly-paced itinerary, his deep knowledge of the places, wine, and food of the region made the trip that much more enjoyable. Just to say the 2 day wine tasting and exploration you arranged for us at very short notice exceeded our expectations. The Wine and food tasting tour in la Coruna was much more extensive than the description on your website suggested. We would never have found the places you took us to and would certainly never have discovered some of the varieties you introduced us to. The visits to new producers on day 2 was fascinating as was the story each of them had to tell about their approach to developing Galicia's native varieties. The runny egg tortilla in Betanzos was a very pleasant surprise to me, I wasn't really a fan of tortilla before! All of this was enhanced by the way you shared your knowledge but also for the very relaxed and friendly approach you have. We sincerely hope we have a chance to arrange further wine experiences through your company.

We have tried "A taste of Pontevedra"-day tour and it was amazing. Good wine, good food and good company. We have learnt a lot about Pontevedra and got some good advice for our road trip in Galicia. I can only highly recommend North West Iberia Wine Tours.

We were fortunate enough to enjoy a two week trip touring Galicia with Adrian. What a fantastic experience! His thoughtfulness and knowledge were unsurpassed. He went out of his way to make sure we experienced his favorite tastes of his adopted region. Fluid in both Spanish and Galician, his ability to translate even technical wine jargon was without fail. We have never had a gastronomic trip that was so complete. We visited with many wine makers, some of whom didn’t even export to the United States. We dined with Adrian for lunches everywhere from fishermans’ cafes on the water to the most luxurious leg of lamb we’ve ever consumed. We realized this region is worthy of its culinary reputation. We had extended meetings with great wine makers, all of which were one on one. Adrian also managed to work in many cultural visits for us as well.
