Reserved a car online, when the time and date was there to pick it up there was no one there, couldn’t reach them via phone either. Very glad I didn’t pay in advance, that would be a big waste of money. Doesn’t deserve even one star…

Be careful. I rented a car for a day at Autos Aguirre SL and paid the rate of euro 131.00. When I returned the car the attendant inspected the car, sat in the car, started the engine. I was told all was good and that I was fully paid up and free to go. Later in the day, when I am out of range, they send me a WhatsApp saying that I had exceeded the daily km limit and they had charged my credit card an additional euro 140.00. So a total of euro 271.00 for a one day rental! If I had exceeded any daily km limit, this should have been communicated to me and brought to my attention when I returned the car. It does not feel correct that this company, after saying you are paid up, wait until you have left and then add charges to your credit card while you not present. And the km reading in the car was not brought to my attention. Be careful.

Im giving full stars for these guys because thats exactly what the whole experience from start to finish deserves! I looked at a few different places before deciding to go with Autos Aguirre La Linea and im so glad i did, and will use them again every time now. Firstly, the office is right opposite the border for Gibraltar and so i walked from the airport with my bags to it in no time. The staff there were really friendly and a pleasure to deal with and the handover process was simple. I had booked online and taken the extra insurance option for ease of mind and the price for a week, for what i got was just amazing. I booked myself the most gorgeous little Fiat 500 Cabriolet. I had never driven one before and i have to say i somewhat fell in love with this car over that week, so much that i booked another week, then more days after that! I very unhappy to have to return it! I had the car almost 3 weeks in total. Each time a simple phonecall extended it and my card was charged. There were no hidden charges, no extras taken, no problems with deposit, it was all exactly as booked and arranged. The car itself was in excellent condition, freshly cleaned, a stylish interior. Aux plug for my MP3 player. I drove all over the place, up mountain roads, across deserts, and never had a single problem. It was so economical i hardly needed to fill it! The convertible aspect was the best choice, driving with the top down through those sights was something i wont forget. All in all it was a perfect car rental experience for me, and i will definitely be using them again with full confidence.

Vivo en Inglaterra y vengo por navidad y quería viajar con mi familia de La Linea de toda la vida. Fui dos veces, y nada, supuestamente el sistema estaba caído, la web funciona fatal y tampoco funcionaba. Me tomaron mis datos y nunca contactaron conmigo, les contacté yo y tardaron horas en contestar. La señora mas mayor muy altanera, debería tratar con más educación y simpatía, que está para vender. Al parecer si no eres extranjero no le interesan atenderte. Se perdieron una buena clienta porque no me importaba pagar lo que fuese realmente necesitaba un coche!. Mi familia y yo nos quedamos sin coche, cuando la web ya funcionaba ya no había existencia, gracias por arruinar nuestros primeros días de vacaciones. Finalmente en el bulevar hay dos lugares más que nos pudieron facilitar un coche, días después, y muy amables los señores.

Take a short walk into La Linea and rent your car here. Great staff, new, clean cars. Good service. Then you can drop it off inside the airport on your way home. Best!

So, I thought I hit the jackpot with these supposedly "reasonable" online prices, but boy was I wrong! They tried to pawn off some ancient Ford Focus on me at four times the price, and to add insult to injury, they slapped on a limited mileage cap. Talk about highway robbery! And get this, back in Estonia, where things aren't exactly cheap, I snagged a shiny new BMW with unlimited mileage for the exact same price. Step up your game, rental company, because this is just pathetic!

I can see there are very negative reviews, but having used this company before, I found there were no problems at all, did find the problems whilst I was in the office booking my car, were down to clients wanting the earth but not wanting to pay for it. Good to see they are still in business, most unscrupulous car hire companies in Spain have dissolved. speaks volumes.

Thieves. They’ll hit you with additional charges. They even tried charging additional fees for collecting a car during their opening hours! Use Espacar instead - much better service.

Honest real life review.... First off rent your car from Espacar, just do it save your time Autos Aquirre SL is a tourist trap car hire, large deposit, one way fees, limited mileage, return on empty nonsense. They took €204 from us then gave us a voucher, we had to show up to their office in La Linea to demand our refund back due to their hidden fees, we believe we wouldn't have gotten it back if we didn't show up in person. They have poor communication through email, and give you the run around about talking to management and their 'boss'. Please don't waste your time or money, glad we didn't sign a contract with this scam of a company.....Again shop around, we recommend Espacar as it was stress free, no fees, no deposit, unlimited mileage, perfect for our honeymoon in Andalucia

I like Autos , I have used them for many trips in 2years , the staff are straightforward the cars are good and best of all , no pushing of extras and trying to cheat like another company beginning with GC that advertise super cheap prices . My only criticism is I would like a fixed petrol policy of full to full.

Fantastic service, friendly helpfull staff and good rate. We had a poor experience previously with one of their competitors based in Gibraltar but would highly recommend Auto Aguirre if renting in Spain.

On renting a car at the Sotogrande branch I found the person I was dealing with very very helpful, I have found that if you have no issues with anything then it’s easy to leave a good review however it’s how a problem is dealt with that defines a good company. So with that in mind I find this company's NOT so helpful! I would suggest that when you drive a vehicle on the road it would be most unlucky but a hazard non the less to have a puncher! We had a puncher not a slow one just a flat, we came out to our rental car having not driven it in the day but needing to drive it in the evening, Myself my wife and two daughters attempted to attend a restaurant reservation we had made about 10mins drive from were we were staying. So back to the puncher, after eventually changing the wheel, my clothes and washing we eventually attended our booking some 1hr 30mins late I decided to call the car rental place in the morning. I jumped in the car and drove to them rather than call as it was only 3mins away, I told the helpful person behind the counter what had happened, she advised me to leave the car there and return in 1hr at which point the mechanic would arrive and fix our car, I said I would return in 2hrs as that would give him plenty of time to sort the puncher out, as I had taken the premium insurance out she said there would be no charge to fix the tyre (Great). On returning 2hrs later to find out the tyre had not be replaced and it was how I had dropped it off with the space saver still on the car, she said that the tyre would need to be replaced at one of their other sites which was located in la lenia at the Gibraltar boarder, I said we intended to go there so I would drop the car off there so they could fix the tyre, she said she would call ahead and make sure they knew we were coming. So on arriving at the other branch the person I Spoke to asked me to bring the punctured wheel in and I should return at 4.30pm to collect the car, I told him that he should come to the car and collect the wheel and I would park up, he did so with a bit of a huff. On returning to the rental place at 5pm to find that the wheel had not been returned and the car still parked in the same place I left it, I asked what was going on only to be told that I should drive the car as is and return tomorrow for the wheel, I said this would not do as they agreed to get this sorted today, he said he will drive over to the garage and collect the wheel himself, after waiting about 45mins he returned and handed me the wheel outside and asked me to fit it!!!! I refused saying that I was not a mechanic and if anything was to happen they would then say that I fitted the wheel incorrectly, so no I would not fit the wheel he should fit it, he said he would not fit it as he was not a mechanic and as I had taken the wheel off I should fit it back on!!! After a few cross words he decided to take the wheel and car back to the garage, we waited for about an hr then a second person returned in the car saying it was all done, after talking to him he agreed it was not appropriate for me to fit the wheel back on the car! After all of the above they have contacted me below and sent me a voucher so I can rebook with them when next in that part of Spain for a free rental.... very nice of them and I appreciate their gesture... a refund of part of the rental period would of been better as I will probably never use it so will never benefit from their kind offer. Remember we were on holiday and don’t live in Spain!

Their cars are always ready on time and clean, staff speak English too, a bonus if you don't speak Spanish

These guys are great friends efficient and coat effective if I think of all the other bigger car rental firms it makes me feel ill especially those in Venice airport to be avoided at all costs it's an absolute joke !

Absolutely shocking levels of customer service - staff were unfriendly and extremely unhelpful not to mention providing totally incorrect directions for the car park! Car Park poorly signposted, even google had trouble locating it! I will never use Europcar car (in Spain) ever again.

Cars are always clean inside and for me have been mechanically fine. Outside they may have some scrapes and minor dents but they have never (in over 20 hires) charged me for ay minor exterior damage. Given the parts of Spain we travel to, and the horror stories I hear from in the complaints sections of newspapers about other car hire companies charging like £600 for a minor dent, then I am very happy with this state of affairs. If you want a brand new shiny showroom car, go somewhere else (and make sure you don't accidentally scratch it and have thorough CDW excess insurance). If you want an honest hire car and excellent service then check out Autos Aguirre. We fly into Gibraltar airport and then walk across the border to pickup from their close by La Linea office to save waiting in any border queues.

Really old cars. Most of their stock comes from the big companies once they've had them 2 years. So if. You are happy with a dented scratched smelly 4 year old banger at new car rates.. The others are much better.

We have just booked again with Autos Aguirre and Natalia is so patient and helpful - they dont push you to buy extras and so easy for access to the airport!

Muy buen servicio, coches nuevos y política de combustible justa. Nos entregaron un Toyota Yaris muy nuevo, casi a estrenar, con muy pocos kilómetros, con el depósito lleno. Estuvimos visitando la costa de Cádiz, viendo las ruinas romanas de Baelo Claudia en Tarifa. Pasamos una semana en el hotel Cortijo de Zahara en la playa de los alemanes que os recomiendo que visitéis. A la vuelta dejamos el coche en el parking gratuito que Autos Aguirre dispone en Gibraltar. Nos atendió Natalia, que es una chica encantadora y profesional. Recomiendo esta empresa

AUTOS AGUIRRE is the best option to rent a car at Gibraltar Airport. They have an office inside the airport and on the other side of the border as well (spanish side). Excellent service, very new cars and really good prices AUTOS AGUIRRE; Fully recommended.

I chose Autos Aguirre after looking at the google reviews for the other local Car Hire places in La Linea. A complaint against the others was with the strange charges for fuel. Auto Aguirre were meant to be better. Not so When I picked up the car I was charged 30E for half tank of fuel that was already in the car and told that it would be refunded depending on how much fuel was in the car when it was returned the following day. I returned the car with 1/4 of a tank of fuel (15E worth going by their figures) They charged me 20E for excess mileage which was fair enough as I had driven over 400km. I said that they could use the money owed to me for the fuel I had left in the tank. They then acted as if they didnt know what I was talking about. I pointed to the Contract I had signed where they had stated in biro that this was the case. They then decided that I owed them "taxes" on the hire and that it would be equal to the amount of fuel I had returned. A rip off I wouldn't normally bother to leave a bad review, but in this case I chose them specifically over their competition due to their "good" reviews, my experience was far from good
