We booked a tapas experience with Alvaro when we were visiting Puerto de Santa Maria near Cadiz. Alvaro was an incredible tour guide and did an amazing job introducing us to the local food and sherry culture. He was extremely engaging and enthusiastic in sharing his passion for his hometown. As we travelled between sherry and tapas bars we could see he was well loved by fellow townspeople as he greeted them. He has travelled around the world and is well spoken in English, Spanish, and perhaps other languages as well. We would strongly recommend him as a tour guide for any adventure that you desire. Just take a look at all of his tour options, and be confident you will have an amazing time!

We traveled to Milan with a group of friends and the experience was fantastic from start to finish. The city perfectly combines history, art, fashion, and a vibrant nightlife. The visit to the Duomo left us speechless, especially when we went up to the terraces to enjoy the panoramic views. The Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II is a must-see, both for its architecture and its lively atmosphere. We also strolled through the Brera district, full of charming bars, small galleries, and a bohemian vibe that we loved. The food was another highlight: from an authentic risotto alla milanese to pizza and, of course, the Milanese aperitivo at sunset, which quickly became our favorite ritual. The city is very easy to get around, whether walking or by metro, and people were kind and welcoming everywhere we went. In short, Milan exceeded our expectations: it’s the perfect destination to enjoy with friends, blending culture, fun, and amazing food. We’ll definitely be back!

Spending a day at sea with my friends thanks to Alsherry Experiences was an experience I’ll remember for a long time. Sailing across the Bay of Cádiz allowed us to completely disconnect while enjoying the sea breeze and the sound of the waves. Después de varias horas buscando la mejor planificación para nuestro viaje, todo ha salido a pedir de boca. En general el viaje a ido perfecto, sin ningún inconveniente. Contactamos con Álvaro unos 6 meses antes del viaje y la verdad que todo ha salido a pedir de boca. Una cosa de las que me he quedado sorprendido para muy bien es la atención en TODO momento Álvaro para todo lo que nos hacía falta. Siempre muy atento y ayudarnos en todo lo que le pedíamos y con una sonrisa sin ponernos ni un pero. Nos ha facilitado el viaje de novios para el tema de la organización que nos pudimos centrar mucho más en cosas de la boda. Tema de calidad precio puedo decir que son muy competentes y la verdad que no he visto nada mejor sinceramente. Para futuros viajes seguiré contando con él 100%, además de que ya lo he recomendado a los más allegados. Que no quepa duda de su profesionalidad y de la cercanía que transmite para todo.

An Unforgettable Ride with Alsherry Experiences! I had an incredible time on the "Horseback Riding" with Alsherry Experiences. The booking process was smooth, and Álvaro was very attentive and professional. We rode between pine trees, dunes, and countryside, and ended with a delicious local breakfast. I had a great Puerto Samara Maria Local Tapas Experience since we couldn’t visit the bodegas. Alvaro was very well traveled and knowledgeable about the local history and food culture. Definitely worth your time to try some tapas and learn about the unique and rich history this area has to offer with a great guide and food!!

My husband and I went on a private wine and tapas tour in El Puerto de Santa Maria with Alvaro. It was a highlight of our trip! We went to three different small restaurants where we were the only Americans and experienced the true taste and feel of local culture, food specialties and wine. We learned to stand at the bar like a local to enjoy the best of the area’s home cooking style of meat, fish, and salad dishes as well as appetizers and sides. We tried a variety of local and area wines that we wouldn’t have even known to ask for. Alvaro was very accommodating and agreed to a last minute booking. He arranged a convenient meeting place and he arranged a taxi to our hotel (which was in a different city). There would be no possibility of having this experience on our own, it greatly enhanced our time in southern Spain and we’re so glad we went!

Alvaro was fantastic to deal with. I asked him only 4 days before our event to plan it. I was assisting my friends with a vow renewal ceremony. We needed a location and a spot for dinner. Both exceeded our expectations by far. We were late as we had an emergency and he waited for us to arrive. 10/10 recommend using him for any local experience you may want to arrange.

Outstanding! A perfect way to get familiar with local food and wine! As a solo traveller, it’s near impossible to book online for ‘one person’ on anything: Alvaro made it easy for me to book his experience when I emailed his company, and not only that, he changed his planned to accommodate me that very weekend. We explored the streets of El Puerto de Santa Maria starting with a delicious breakfast at a local spot, moved onto a gorgeous small deli store still run by the original owners and sampled cheese and fino… and later moved onto a local bar/restaurant and ate a plate of mind blowing cured tuna and cazon washed down with two yummy Sherry’s and ended our tour at a local winery that was packed with history and atmosphere. Along the way Alvaro was generous with local information, wine history and seemed to know exactly what food I loved! I never admitted to him that I was already full after breakfast 😁 so definitely value for money! Since the tour, he’s given me food recommendations, local spots to visit and shared so many photos he took during the tour. Don’t think twice about booking this experience- it’s a quality, bespoke experience that you won’t regret.

It was such a great experience, we chose the experience sunset for 2. We really enjoyed our trip in the boat in Cadiz's bay and the music was great. It was amazing. Without any doubt, I would recommend it to anyone!!

I highly recommend Alsherry experiences. My husband and I did a foodie tailored experience at Restaurant Puerto Escondido and had a great time. We also enjoy the Christmas Zambomba Nov 20th at the Villa Balbaina Vineyards. The Paella & Tapas were delicious!!

Una experiencia súper original, música en directo entre los viñedos. Buen vino, algo de picoteo y ver así la puesta de sol fue una maravilla. Un plan diferente para conocer mejor nuestra tierra y nuestra gastronomía El personal de Alsherry muy atento y nos dieron mucha información para hacer otras actividades.

This is definitely an experience not to be missed if you are around Puerto de Santa Maria or Cadiz. Alvaro is one of the nicest guys you can meet and when he took me sherry tasting it was actually like meeting up with a friend for the night! We went into local places that I would never have even seen nevermind have the confidence to enter. We were served the best local sherry with the most mouth watering Jamon and Caña de Lomo. The tour is serious value and if there were more Alvaro's in other cities then travel would be much the better. Thanks again Alvaro and I'm looking forward to returning.

I booked a vineyard visit and tasting with Alsherry while my parents were here visiting and it was a phenomenal experience! He took us to a small, family owned vineyard north of Rota where we were greeted by the owner. We spent the day touring the property and tasting the delicious wines he produces. We’ve been wine tasting throughout the world at some of the most exclusive vineyards and we all agreed that this was our favorite experience so far. We were truly treated like family instead of customers. This is a must-do for anyone visiting the area as well as locals looking for a relaxing day full of good wine and friendship!

Al coordinated a last minute anniversary celebration for my husband and me at a lovely local winery. We enjoyed a tour of the grounds, got to see the exciting plans for expansion, and the owner treated us like family. Generous tastings, great company, and beautiful scenes at 360°. Al paid attention to every detail, was extremely professional, and an absolute pleasure to do business with. Highly recommend!!

Álvaro kennt die Stadt durch und durch, man merkt, dass er hier aufgewachsen ist und dass sein Herz hier schlägt. Er bringt viel Persönliches mit in die Führung ein, Geschichten seiner Familie, kennt jede Ecke und scheinbar auch jeden Menschen dort. Es ist eine Führung, um die Menschen und das Leben in der Stadt besser kennenzulernen, keine Sightseeingtour. Wir schlenderten von Bar zu Bar, quer durch den Markt und ließen die Stadt einfach auf uns wirken. Álvaro überzeugt durch seine sonnige Persönlichkeit, sein Fachwissen, seine Weltgewandtheit und seine Neugierde. Aber vor allem seine Fröhlichkeit hat den Weg in unser Herz gefunden, da hatten wir sofort eine gemeinsame Ebene. Diese Tour ist jedem zu empfehlen, der einen tollen Ausflug in traditionellen andalusischen Lifestyle an der Seite eines enorm sympatischen Spaniers sucht!

Deseando volver a Cádiz!!! Alvaro nos preparo varios días inolvidables que lo recordaremos!! Hicimos una Experiencia en las Salinas descubriendo el pescado de Estero, una actividad muy diferente en la Bahía de Cádiz algo muy local y sostenible.

El sitio era muy correcto y no faltaba de nada, y de acuerdo con las fotos del anuncio. La localización inmejorable, justo en la entrada del centro histórico. Estación de ferry's también cerca. El anfitrión, Álvaro, es una persona muy agradable y amable, conversador, habla varios idiomas, siempre disponible para ayudar y recomendar, nos hemos sentido muy bien acogidos por él y además se dedica al turismo en Cádiz por lo que nos ha dado todas las indicaciones necesarias. Además en el piso nos deja una pizarra con las mejores recomendaciones.
