Easy Cycling Sitges, Bike Tours/Winery Visits

My partner and I had a great time on the Bike & Wine Tour. The scenery was beautiful on the bike ride and we enjoyed our time at the winery. Alex was a fantastic guide—friendly, knowledgeable, and easy going. He made the whole experience fun and easy. We recommend!

Absolutely fantastic tour today! Alex was a wonderful driver and host, and both tours were incredibly informative, professional and friendly. A 20 minute drive to the first winery, where we enjoyed a detailed history of the family with Jeff, followed by three glasses of their best cava. Five minutes to the next winery which includes a small museum-like display and then Cava by an outdoor pool. Communication was excellent and everyone involved was superb. Would highly recommend!

Die Fahrradtour war sehr schön, und zwischendurch gab es kurze Pausen, die genutzt wurden um uns die Wein Plantagen anzuschauen und die Weintraube probieren. anschließend haben wir gemeinsam, die traditionelle Paella gekocht. Es war ein gelungener Tag der wie beschrieben verlaufen ist. Danke an Alex unsere Tour Begleiter er war sehr sympathisch es hat ein großen spaß gemacht.

Amazing and unique experience! There aren’t a lot of tours that I’ve been on that include so many different, fun things like this one did. Biking through vineyards, exploring wine cellars, and learning how to cook paella all in one tour! All guided by Alex and Montse who were knowledgeable, professional, and very fun. My wife and I couldn’t speak any higher of this tour!

a lovely wine tour, the host was amazing, made us feel comfortable and right at home. it was lovely to cycle around all the vineyards and learn about the grapes and history, took a pitstop to a beautiful winery, topped off with a tour by a lovely owner of a winery that has been owned by generations since the 16th century, the museum was fascinating! thank you for the tour!

Tour organised by Alex was really wonderful! He is fantastic — very kind, open, and easy to talk to. He shared many interesting stories and facts about cava and Spanish culture, which made the whole experience feel special and personal. The cava tasting was lovely — we tried different flavors from a small local winery, and it was great to learn more about the process. The paella masterclass was also a highlight! It was not only fun but also very informative. We learned a lot and can’t wait to try cooking it at home. The bike ride was peaceful and beautiful, with amazing views of the area around Sitges. It felt like the perfect mix of learning, relaxing, and enjoying nature. This day will stay in our memories for a long time. We truly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

I booked the 2 wineries tour with Alex and Easy Cycling Sitges for me and my parents, who both love wine. It was incredibly easy getting from Barcelona to Sitges (we took one of the local trains) and very convenient to find Alex at the Sitges train station! The people in our group were all incredibly nice and we had such a fun time with them. As for the wineries, they were both so gorgeous with so much character and history, which we loved learning about. Finally, the wine we had was amazing! Of course, in Spain, how could you not have great wine? The next time we're in Barcelona, we'll be coming back to Alex and Easy Cycling Sitges for another excursion!

Went on the Driving for Vino tour & had a blast. Alex drove us to two small vineries, and it was clear that he knew the people there well, which I think added to the relaxed atmosphere of the tour. I was picked up on time, and Alex provided the group with info on the wine/cava industry in the Penedès region. The cavas and wines we tasted were all amazing, and I came away with an appreciation of the small local producers. Alex is a really nice, chill & fun guide and I really did have a great time. Highly recommended!

We super enjoyed this Cycling Wine Tour, Alex was a consumate host and shared many interesting information regarding the area steeped in history. Rented a couple of bikes for a week from them. The bikes were in great shape. Alex was friendly, easy going and flexible. Definitely recommended.

Great cava tour - a fun and informative experience with beautiful wines

Very enjoyable and interesting tour. Efficient, relaxed, convivial, friendly wine makers …and lovely wines.

This was a great day out. My wife and i were in a small group of four with another couple and were picked up on time from our hotel in Sitges. Our bikes looked and felt brand new and with the exception of the final few hundred meters at the end of the tour, the terrain was relatively flat. Our guide Alex was a great character knowledgeable and informative and set a comfortable pace throughout. We initially stopped at a vineyard with hundreds of grape varieties being tested / assessed and although it was later in the season managed to taste some grapes. We then stopped for a break and a glass of cava at Rovellats Cava before going on the main stop at Masia Romagosa where the lady owner (sorry but I’ve forgotten her name) gave us a tour of her place and explained the history for her families wine / cava making before sampling three of their cavas along with some snacks beside the swimming pool. All in all a very enjoyable day out. – thanks Alex.

We had a phenomenal time visiting the wineries with Alex. He is incredibly kind and gives a lot of good information. The winery operators were also so friendly, and their passion for their trade is so evident. I would do this all over again in a heartbeat!

A very leisurely (just one hill) bicycle ride through the Penedes countryside to learn about the variety of grapes grown in the region. Then a stop at a small restaurant for a bottle of crisp light wine. And to finish a brief tour and cava tasting at a lovely winery. Alex is a great guy. This is a really nice half day escape. Well worth the money.

We did the Driving for Vino tour in early October, and ended up being the only two people who signed up. Alex is very friendly and his English is so good that I originally thought he was from Scotland (where he had lived for a bit). The two family-owned wineries that we visited were lovely and we had two very caring, passionate women take us around. If we come back I will contact Alex to set up a private tours of other area wineries, as it is not the easiest to set up visits on your own (and of course you want a driver if you're visiting more than one!)

Alex was fun, easy to communicate with, prompt and really showed us a great time! He took us to two very different wineries, both were small and family run with delicious wines and cava. It was a great taste of Penedes, easily accessed from Sitges. Highly recommend this tour group!

We spent a wonderful afternoon with Alex, our small group and two wineyard owners (or helpers) visiting two wineries and tasting cava and wine. It was a great experience, we learned a lot, the information was super nice and detailed but never boring, we were a nice group of 3 or 4 different countries but all extremely sympathic, (ok, this cannot be arranged by the company but is also important). And on top of this Alex helped me and organised a surprise cake for our friend who's 50th birthday was 2 days ago and the tour was his birthday present. Ah and very important: we did not have to drive anywhere, we were fetched at our accommodation and brought back. And of course we could buy some wine or cava but were never in any way obliged to it! Highly recommended! And thank you all!

The other reviews say it all, I'm just here to echo it. Alex is great, the cycling was good fun and easy and the cava is cracking. Go for it, it's worth the money and more!

Molt recomanable!

Except visiting Barcelona, there are not so many proposals to explore the Sitges neighborhood. But what a blast touring around the nice wine region with Alex, who takes a max of 8 people, and tells them a lot about the development of wine in Catalonia. He does it with a good mix of humor and time passes very quickly before you arrive at the 1st of the 2 wine companies, selected after good criteria. Both are very different, but have a solid past, going back through the ages. And in both houses you will learn about the high professionalism and the will to work on the most natural base. Small houses with very high quality. Both having one particular aim: doing the best they can, and keeping a quite private relation with their clients… so, when they make you taste their nectars , they do it with great generosity… and when you return from the trip, you feel a bit « oops » and this excursion will stay for a long time among your best Sitges-memories…. ❤️

Really fun experience! Alex was great and entertaining. Learnt so much at the vineyards, and wine was really delicious. My only disappointment was that we didn’t get to actually go into the vineyards and see the plants, but still a 5 star experience.

We took the Driving for Vino tour a few days ago during our week's stay in Sitges for our honeymoon. We had wanted a different day, but were asked to change due to a request from one of the wineries - a little inconvenient, but it's clear in the T&Cs this could happen. We wondered if the tour was a bit pricey, but actually it felt good value when we saw what just going to one of the wineries independently, with needing to get out there from Sitges would have cost. Alex collected us on time and then two other parties for a full van of 8. Comfy and air conditioned minibus. Alex explained things on the drive and then at both wineries we were given good explanations of the cava and natural wine making processes. A more thorough and insightful explanation at the first place we thought, but both hosts were very welcoming, happy to answer questions and gave us a good overview of their craft. We sampled 6 full glasses of wine during the trip and had plenty of time to enjoy the beautiful settings and to chat with fellow trippers. The only thing we thought was a bit misleading was the opportunity to taste local snacks, which gave an impression of some sort of tapas or other different eats, but it was basically crisps and crackers, mainly at the first venue. It didn't detract from the overall experience, though something more substantial on all that wine might have been a good idea. I'd not recommend going on the trip on an empty stomach! We were pleased to have had some lunch before hand. Overall, a very fun afternoon with a friendly, informative and professional guide in Alex.

What a perfect way to start our vacation. Alex was a perfect host! He was knowledgeable and welcoming and the bike ride was a perfect way to take in the beautiful countryside. The winery visit was lovely; it was filled with family history and interesting facts about the wine making process. Oh and we can forget the paella… delish!!! My husband and I and our three daughters ( ages 16, 15, 20) thoroughly enjoyed the experience!

The tour of the Romagosa Torné winery was a great learning experience and finishing up helping make paella and chatting about life over a bottle of Cava made us feel like part of the family. I honestly couldn’t fault this trip! After a short drive into the countryside you arrive at the most beautiful caves to begin cycling through the vineyard. Alex led our tour and he was amazing… super funny, knowledgable and relaxed! After a stop off at a local bar (try the local wine here), we then continued cycling, checking out the local vineyards along the way, before arriving back to Masia Romagosa for a super interesting tour by the lady who now runs this winery! Then came the cava tasting which was so refreshing and in the most beautiful setting, I was sad when it finished! If you enjoy cycling, wine or both… Check out this tour, it’s an amazing opportunity to explore a less frequented area of Catalonia and also to visit and support a small, family owned winery. Wat een leuke combinatie, deze toer. Fietsen door het achterland bij Sitges. Vooral wijngaarden en tijdens toer steeds uitzicht op karakterestiek Montserrat. Alex vertelde veel over omgeving, wijn en vooral Cava verbouwen. Cava proeven en het verhaal van het wijnhuis meekrijgen, waar het accent ligt op hoe Cava gemaakt wordt. Samen paella maken en eten in de binnentuin tot slot. Alex is een enorm enthousiaste gids. Wij hebben genoten!

He was so accomodating and answered all my many queries in the weeks before and tailored the trip exactly for us. It was so much fun, I can't reccomend the day trip enough if you are in Sitges or Barcelona. *****

Alex was a friendly tour guide and we enjoyed a four hour tour of two wineries in the Cava Penedes wine region, and a number of good wines!

Alex was a great host and got us to our destinations with no issues. Both of our Vinery tours were very informative. The sights to be seen were beautiful. The wine and cava was excellent.

Had a beautiful, leisurely bike ride through the vineyards and learned so much. Toured Romagosa Torne, a family owned winery/cava maker with a tour by the very kind and informative multi-generational owner, Montse, then learned to make paella by the pool. Delicious! Alex then took us back to the cute town of Sitges. A fantastic day and memory for our entire group!

We had an amazing day with Alex (Easy Cycling Sitges)!! Communication was easy, both before and during the tour. Alex is funny, entertaining, and you can tell he has great relationships with the various winery/cellar families. It was really cool to meet and visit with the owners, with such long family histories behind the wineries. Such a fun day.....I highly recommend!!!

This was an incredibly fun experience! We were super happy with the vineyards and their owners were the absolute sweetest. I did the short bike tour with wineries and cava tasting. The biking tour was around 12km, fairly easy one. Alex, our guide, was really good and it was very interesting to learn few things about cava. The route was quite scenic. Worth doing while in Sitges.

If you’re in Sitges book one of these tours! Cycling through the beautiful vineyards was amazing. Alex and Paul were great fun and knowledgeable and then there was the cava tasting which was the perfect end to the day. Overall an excellent activity I highly recommend.

Eric was awesome!! Our group of six arranged an afternoon Vino and Cycle tour. We were picked up at our AirBnB in Sitges. The biking was easy, even for this 68 year old non-cycler. Eric was very knowledgeable about cava production and the wine production in the area. He even stopped and told us about almond trees. We enjoyed the break half way for a cava tasting. The vineyard tour was great and the lady that owned the vineyard was so welcoming. Highly recommend this tour!!

We did the Cycling for Vino tour with Alex today. He was very knowledgeable about all things relating to Penedés and the main wine of the region, Cava. The bike ride was pretty flat and it was very convenient since it offered pickup at our hotel in Sitges. We didn’t see a lot of other tours that originated in Sitges, mostly from Barcelona so this one worked out great. Alex is extremely affable and humorous- would definitely recommend this tour.

My partner and I had a great tour with Alex and our new friends. We learnt lots about the region and Cava making. Easy pick up and then a gentle cycle on good quality bikes (helmets available). We had a great time on our cycling for wine tour with Alex. What a great way to spend a morning taking in the beautiful countryside views . Despite being hungover we found the cycling nice and easy and Alex was a knowledgeable guide and really friendly. we stopped at a lovely village for breakfast mid way and the cellar tour and Cava tasting was excellent. Would definitely recommend!

We had a wonderful experience with Easy Cycling Sitges! Alex was an exceptional host. Our extended family of 12 people ranged in age from 1.5 yrs old to 73 yrs old and everyone had a terrific time. We cycled around the vineyards and enjoyed frequent breaks to learn about the different wineries and flora. We loved stopping to pick almonds and cracking them open with rocks. The wine tour was the perfect length, and we all had seconds of the paella. Alex was extremely patient and kind. A very memorable and enjoyable experience for all!

What a great experience cycling through the beautiful countryside and learning about the heritage of the area, the different grape varieties and tasting the produce. Alex is the perfect host and this is really not to be missed. The tour around the museum of all the old equipment used to make cava in the past was pretty special too.

Wine tour on a rainy day, great wine, great food and lovely people. Picked up from our appartment and taken, by mini-van to Romagosa Torne Cava Winery. Family run business, with the owner doing the tour of the wine cellars, small family museum and then explaining the wines during tasting. Really great half day activity. Thoroughly enjoyed the company... and the wine too!

We had a great time cycling thru the vineyards on very quiet roads, taking in the views. This was followed by a cellar tour and a fantastic opportunity to create Paella and enjoy it with Alex and the group along with wonderful cava direct from the makers, it was a delicious experience.

A great company to use for a fun half-day trip from Sitges! Alex is very easy to work with and is a great host as you explore the vineyards outside of Sitges. His knowledge of the region, his relationships with growers and his hospitality all combine to make a perfect excursion away from the beach!

We did the downhill glide, it was great fun, scenery was fantastic, Alex was an excellent guide, we will definitely do more tours next time we are in the area.

We had the most amazing experience with Alex during the cycling and vino tour. We laugh during the whole journey and the atmosphere was great. Big thank you to Monse as well for all the cava and the tasting. We also learned a lot about the wine and the history. I totally recommend it was so fun ! Big thank you for the memories !

Alex’s communication was thorough from beginning to end. We got a little lost, no fault of his, at the beginning of our trip and he was gracious enough to accommodate us and was flexible. The minute we stepped into his van the encounter was personable and we felt like we were friends already. The staff at the winery was also very kind in friendly. The bike ride was fun, we were able to view all of the beauty of the area and let’s say it’s beautiful country. It’s a nice getaway when you want to get away from the busy city life. We even had a small stop off at a local restaurant/bar which served awesome sausage and great wine. Once we got back to the winery we had a tour and then we were able to make Paella that was fantastic. Outside of those highlights we were able to have great conversations with Alex and as I said earlier we felt like home and felt like we were talking to a friend. He’s a easy guy to talk to and very humorous. We got more than what we expected. The next time we go to Sitges we will definitely go on another tour with him or just go visit him.

It was my third easycycling trip with Alex. I loved the route through the vineyards and the tiny river - with a perfect ending with Montse, her cava and my first selfmade black paella. Thank you Alex for a perfect day! We will meet next time in Sitges! :)

Alex was a great guide. Very knowledgeable, and very fun to talk with. He showed us a beautiful area and a absolutely fantastic vineyard, where we were given an in-depth tour of how the cavas are made (as well as a great little taste test of the wines they produce). All in all a perfect way to spend the day, and an absolute highlight of our trip.

We loved our trip with Alex! We had an easy cycle through the beautiful hills, with a stop for breakfast, then onto a wine tour with him and the owner of the winery. Both were so lovely and we learnt a lot, and by the end it felt like we were hanging out with old friends. Pick-up was prompt and easy from our accommodation. Highly recommend!

Can’t rave enough about Easy Cycling Sitges! It was an unforgettable experience for my husband and me! Admittedly, I was initially scared I’d pass out as I am no spring chicken, but the roads were mostly flat and it really was exhilarating. The terrain was absolutely stunning! Before cooking we took a brief wine tour of a lovely family winery. We learned how they make cava and it was so interesting! Since biking really works the appetite, we were then more than ready to learn how to make paella. The vegetarian paella was so delicious and it really hit the spot after our bike ride. Paella has such a beautiful presentation that it was so surprising how deceptively easy it is to make! Alex is a host-extraordinaire! He has a charming, fun personality and makes you feel at-home. It honestly felt like spending a day with family! I highly recommend Easy Cycling Sitges! You won’t regret it!

We did the Cycling for Vino tour last week. Excellent experience. Alex our tour guide was brilliant, very informative, funny and catered to all needs. We were picked up from our accomodation and brought to many beautiful places. The cycling was really nice with excellent scenery coming across many excellent locations. The vineyard was excellent. We tasted many types of Cava and it was brilliant to speak to the owner of the vineyard who does the tour. A nice personal touch. Highly recommended recommend this tour!!

We had a great day cycling with Alex. He picked us up at the train station and took care of everything along the way. The cycling route was downhill, so not greatly difficult despite being a hot day.

Alex picked us up in the hotel in the agreed time. Then we went up with his van up to Penedes (25-30min ride). During that time he explained what we would do and got to know each other a little bit better. Once there he provided tje bikes and followed a road (downhill). He would keep driving but wait for us every 5km and provided watter if necessary. You did not need to be in a good shape to do this journey. The views are incredible. Then, he let’s you choose what to do (breakfast or castle). We decided to know a little bit more the area so we went to a close by castle. As our group was young, after that visit he brought us to anothe path which was not as easy as the previous one, but very doable, and so we visited other sides of the area. After that he brought us to a very small (compared to others) and familiar winery. In there the last generation of the wine family showed us around and explained us how wine and cava is prepared. Also, they do keep many old objects used in the past. Like an small museum. We did the wine and cava taste while speaking with Alex and Josep (from the winery). At all times Alex was very councious in our enjoy of the trip. If you like to to know Penedes and its wine area while being outdors, I fully recommend this trip. Thank’s for the ride Alex.

Our love of wine and bike riding lead us to Easy Cycling. Alex who runs Easy Cycling provided an amazing experience. He was more then happy to make a few alterations to the schedule so we could ride further. The vineyards outside Sitges are in a stunning valley which provided plenty of photo opportunities. After an authentic Catalan breakfast to feed our bellies, Alex provided a personal tour of the 8th generation family vineyard with an optional 5 euro wine tasting. Two thumbs up
