Lorena was our guide and she was a fabulous friend during our excursion. Lorena spoke in clear, perfect English and Portuguese and had a welcoming personality that instantly made you feel at home. My husband uses a wheelchair (Travel Buggy) and this excursion was completely doable for him. We went up the mountain on the cog and wheel train which was very steep, so make sure you put the brakes on your wheelchair and have your support person nearby to steady the chair (or you could ask the tour guide if traveling alone). Also, when you get onto the train there is about a 2 inch gap between the platform and the train but even though it's scary, it's completely safe. There are wheelchair specific doors, so choose the one with the symbols. The Montserrat site is fully accessible by wheelchair; you can enter the monastery atrium, basilica, museum, shops and cafes without using steps. The only thing he couldn't do was visit the Black Madonna because there are 27 steps you need to climb to the viewing room. The streets are smoothly paved and most of the sidewalks are big slabs that are easy to roll on. Other than that, everything else was accessible and you can see replicas of the Black Madonna in the museum and gift shops (though of course it isn't the real thing). All Julia Travel coaches are equipped to store wheelchairs in the storage under the bus, but not accessible if you cannot get out of the chair and climb the stairs into the bus. Also, the bus station itself has an elevator to get from the main road down to the bus ports and there are ramps to access the ticket office once off the elevator. We had a fantastic day and highly recommend Lorena, Julia Travel and the Montserrat tour if you're looking for accessible travel options.

Expedia 経由でツアー予約しました。バルセロナではメジャーな旅行会社のようです。ツアー会社で抑えている入場券があるようなので公式では売り切れだったサグラダファミリアのタワーに登れました。説明一通りしたら自由時間がやり方のようです。日本のツアーと違って細かい気配りまでは期待してはダメですが、ちゃんとガイドについて行けば何とかなります。

Teníamos tickets hace meses para la sagrada familia y park güel. Las indicaciones en el voucher no eran correctas y perdimos una excursión, nos hicieron volver a pagar, por más que era responsabilidad de ellos. Cuando pudimos ir, nos dieron audioguias que no funcionaban. Los guías estaban informados pero escuchamos los comentarios 2 veces porque repetían lo mismo en inglés y en español, lo cual es una pérdida de tiempo total. Un desastre, no lo recomiendo.

Everything went smooth. Bus was clean and comfortable but could have used some AC or just airflow as it got pretty stuffy. Ivan was a great guide, friendly, engaging and informative.

Did the MontSerrat tour with Ivan, he is very friendly and knowledgeable and willing to answering all our questions. The tour is well planned with around 2 hours of free time, but there is a lot to see at MontSerrat so had to miss out on seeing the museum. The trip was enjoyable, and it's a great way to see MontSerrat if you are not driving.

Montserrat tour very much. Miri, our tour guide, was a lovely young woman who spoke in both English and in Spanish translating for everyone on the bus. Montserrat is beautiful & there was a lot of free time. Miri answered all questions and gave suggestions to where to spend the spare time we were given before and after visiting the monastery.

Just came back from the Montserrat tour with Lorena. She’s a wonderful tour guide. Pointed out a lot of interesting facts throughout the entire trip and was very patient and approachable with any questions that we may have.

Una experiencia para recordarla todos los días. Nuestra guía Anna se ha pasado con su amabilidad. En todo momento ha estado abierta a responder nuestras dudas. No ha dejado de transmitir el conocimiento que posee. Ha sido muy divertido escucharla y nos ha hecho reír. Nos ha tocado el mejor de los climas y poder escuchar al coro me ha dejado con piel de gallina. El chófer Miguel Angel un experto para llevarnos y traernos con mucha seguridad.

The air-conditioned bus takes you to the Montserrat and there 2 lovely guides, we got Sandra, and she was so positive and informative and great guide. You have also 2 options: to take cogwheel train or cable car up to the Basilica. The views were beautiful! You also get to taste 4 different liquers or get a bag of cookies. Def recommend☺️

Worst agency ever. They left all of their clients and didn't even answer the phone. An entire bus full of people, how can a driver not even ask? We were at the meeting point since 6:30pm and the time was suppose to be 7pm. Everyone had to pay for a public bus to come back to Barcelona. Close to 20€. This is very unprofessional.

We did a tour to Portaventura, coming from Barcelona and when we were about to come back, the driver left all the people there, everyone was there 30 minutes before. Novody came to talk to us. We all tried to call the agency, but nobody answer. Everyone had to pay for the public bus to come back to Barcelona. Some people even hadn't cash to pay for it. This is unacceptable. You will refund us or Ill go to the police.

A really great way to get your feet wet in Barcelona and get a sense of where you want to go. Our guide Valeria was wonderful!

We booked tickets for a hop-on hop-off bus in Barcelona through Julia travel. Our plan depended on clear pickup and return times, as we had a cruise ship to catch. The company could not guarantee these times, so we could not use the tickets without risking missing our ship. We immediately contacted them to request a refund, since they were unable to provide the service as advertised. They refused, even though the issue was on their side — not ours. I would not recommend booking with this company if you’re on a fixed schedule or need reliable service times. Other travelers should be aware that refunds are not honored even when the company cannot deliver what was promised.

We took the Girona, Figueres & Dali Museum tour today and Sandra our guide from Julia Travel was fantastic, very knowledgeable and made the trip really fun and informative. Loved the Game of Thrones references and also some insider knowledge about the Dalí and the museum. Highly recommended.

We did the Montserrat half day tour with Carlos and Juan.The tour was fantastic, we had wine tasting & tickets to the Temple included. Bus arrangements were good and we also had the Cogwheel train experience. Carlos was fantastic and his story telling ability is great. He also thought us few Spainsh & Catalonian words. 100% recommend.

We very very excited for the tour and specifically booked COG-WHEEL train option. At the reception also, I mentioned the same to the lady. Upon reaching there we were told that we were in cable-car group and it cannot be changed now. If you are booking this tour, at the reception desk take in written whatever is mentioned in your booking details, they often don’t check and shift you without asking.

We had guid Anna and the driver Andrei. They were amazing. Anna gave us a lot of information about Monserrat Monastery:: history, culture and places and the driver , Andrei is very professional when we went to Monserrat and came back from there. Thank you to both of you for amazing day.

Overall good experience. Transport vehicle was comfortable and guide was having detail knowledge of the things around . Montserrat excellent spot to spend a half day trip.

We went to Montserrat for the first time today Oct 8th, 2025, during our first trip to Spain. We were lucky to have Ivan as our guide! Ivan made this a relaxing and thoroughly enjoyable experience. By allowing free time between the tour sessions, that really brings a lot of value to the trip by being able to explore stores and all around the area. Ivan was also very respectful and answered several people's questions and concerns. Thanks Ivan and Julia's travels!

We took the trip to Montserrat from Barcelona by Julia on October 8, 2025 and it was great, better than our expectations. The bus ride was smooth, the train ride was nice, the view was amazing. Overall it was a great experience. The tour guide Ivan was pleasant, knowledgeable about the monastery and guided the group well.

Excelente el servicio de los micros, y nuestra guía Caroline para el Tour BRC Highlights fue muy amable y dulce a la hora de explicar y dirigirse a nosotros para las indicaciones o para responder preguntas. Lo mismo para nuestra guía Daniela en el Tour por Toledo. Lo único negativo fue que mi radio para escuchar el tour de Toledo no funcionaban muy bien, porque tenía mucho ruido y además entraba mucho el sonido externo. Buenas organización en general de Julia.

We had a fantastic tour with Valeria to Montserrat. She was informative, kind and incredibly patient with a large group. The only disappointment for us was that the free time certainly did not allow for us to do both of the audiovisual experience and the tasting. We were some of the first in the group through the Basilica and are fast walkers so it wasn’t due to pace. When we got to the AV experience they told us it only started at 6pm and was a 20min experience which we decided was cutting it too fine to get back to the bus by 6.30. While unfortunate to miss the AV show, this was no reflection of Valeria’s great tour, but is perhaps a consideration for Julia Travel to extend the tour time by 30 mins to allow for both the activities to be done.

Did a Montserrat tour on an afternoon. While going up the cogwheel train, the guide, whose name is Anna came to me and ask me if I was in her group. She shouted at me multiple times to ask the same question. I was confused why she was asking me this question while my ticket had already been checked before I boarded the train. This was very embarrassing. Definitely not the type of guide you would go to ask questions. I do not even know how she got her job.

We had a great experience with Jessica on the Montserrat day tour. Nice bus, great driver and great tour guide Jessica. Lovely ride on cogwheel train up the mountain. We enjoyed a lovely time at midday prayer hearing the boys choir in the basilica and seeing the black Madonna. We didn’t have a lot of time to wonder around or spend time in the church. An extra hour would have been nice but that’s just the way our timed entrances worked out. Such a magical place to see definitely worth going on the Julia’s travel tour to make the most of the day. Thank you!

We had an excellent 🚞🚍tour to ⛰️Montserrat. Our guide was well spoken in English and Spanish, knowledgeable, and well prepared 📋. The tour was packed with minimal down time. We did the extra light show and toured the museum and gallery. There was just enough time to get back to the bus after the light 🌈 show. We did miss the barista and alcohol tasting experience, but we’re happy with our choices. ✅ Would do it again!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Montserrat in Spain, and our guide, Nuria, truly made the experience unforgettable. She was energetic, knowledgeable, and very dynamic throughout the entire tour. Her passion and vivid descriptions brought the history, culture, and spirit of the mountain to life, perfectly complementing the breathtaking views all around us. If I could suggest one improvement, it would be to have a more detailed agenda. With so much beauty and significance in Montserrat, it’s easy to get carried away and miss out on certain experiences. Even so, the tour was deeply enriching, and I left with the strong feeling that there is still so much more to explore. This is definitely a must-visit destination, and I’m already looking forward to returning. Next time, I plan to take on one of the hikes to make the experience even more memorable. Thank you, Nuria, for making Montserrat not just a beautiful visit, but a meaningful one! Lorena was a very good guide. Monserrat is beautiful and well worth the trip. The one thing they could do better is provide better instructions/directions on how/where to find the check in desk inside the bus terminal

The tour was excellent. Naria was personable and funny. The Uber driver dropped us off on the side of the station. Make sure you walk to the front entrance to find Julia Travel inside if the bus station.

Lorela bola veľmi mila, rozprávala zrozumiteľne a počkala nás keď sme meškali. Bol to veľmi pekny zážitok určite odporúčam, v cene bola aj ochutnávka likérov. Jedine mínus je malo voľného času a tak nestihnete pozrieť všetko.

It was really nice trip to Montserrat with John and Jessica. We had a nice tour guide but free time was a bit too short for exploring. We had a really nice time and John was really friendly and helpful. We recommend it

Great day, would recommend it to anyone NB maybe one hour more would have been great - a little rushed to get through the various options. We had a great experience with Lorena as our guide and Jordi as our driver for a Montserrat tour. The bus ride was fast and safe and comfortable. Lorena did a fantastic job in both English and Spanish giving supplementary information regarding the monastery, history of the area, neat facts, and about the importance of the area to Catalonia. We took the 8:00 am trip to Montserrat from Barcelona. Jessica was our guide and we had a wonderful time, very informative!

I booked the La Sagrada Familia tour and I would recommend it to everyone. Albert is such a great tour guide. Very detailed but keeping it engaged with the crowd so it didn’t get boring. It is definitely a place to see with a tour guide to understand the architecture and history.

I paid $150 for the Sagrada Familia & Park Güell tour on 8/31 at 11am. At check-in at the Julia Travel Gray Line booth at the Gaudí Experience, the man with a ponytail was rude and made a racist comment about my culture. He said my name was “interesting” and asked about its origin even after I said I was from the US. He then asked if “all mothers from my culture threw food at their children when they are mad.” This behavior was inappropriate and unacceptable, and I hope Julia’s Travel addresses it to prevent this from happening to others. Thankfully, our guide Jaime was great. He was knowledgeable, passionate and detailed about the history, turning the experience into a memorable one despite what happened earlier.

Good experience spectacular scenery however the free time could be a bit longer and they changed the cable car ticket that we paid for to cog wheel train at the last minute due to operational issues although when we were there the cable cars were operating

We had a lovely time in Monseratt. The place is so beautiful, stunning landscape and looks clean. Our tour guide Valeria was so helpful, she was so clear with her instructions and information. She’s passionate of her job and quite knowledgeable of the history of Montserrat. Lastly, our driver Gilberto was very competent as he kept the vehicle well at the required speed limit. Hats off to both of them👍.

Miri was a fantastic guide for our trip to Montserrat. We loved her warm and friendly personality. Our tour was efficient in getting to the mountains in an Air conditioned bus. We learned some neat facts about Barcelona on the way back that helped us better understand the city. Definitely recommend a day trip to this unique site.

We had booked a tour for the historical monument with an English-speaking tour guide. Unfortunately, the tour was in both English and Spanish, so the tour guide spoke very quickly to convey information in both languages ​​within the time limit, as if he were reading from a book, which was very boring and almost useless.That this was the agency manager's mistake, who had merged two tours together for greater profit.

Monserrat was amazing definitely worth the visit. Unfortunately my husband’s headphones didn’t work correctly & it was sometimes difficult to understand our guide switching from English to Spanish. The information we did get was interesting & informative. Another small improvement would be to clean the bus windows for a better view.
