Sails Up Mallorca

We did a boat tour for our honeymoon and it was perfect! Alvaro took us to beautiful secluded spots and it was a wonderful experience. Highly recommend it!

Much like all the other reviews, I can't say enough incredible things about Alvaro and this amazing sailing experience. I booked many months in advance. We had to change dates a number of times due to weather, and he was always very communicative and flexible. His boat was spotless and clearly very proudly maintained. The scenery along the North coast was breathtaking, and it was great to swim and snorkel some boat-accessible only spots. But Alvaro is really the gem of the excursion - a great conversationalist, he provided such a warm hospitality and opportunity to learn about Mallora from a local. He was very kind, generous, and patient with all my questions about the Island (and his English is perfect), but he is also very lowkey, with a fun and easy vibe. I can't thank him enough for such a memorable experience on our last evening on Mallorca. Do not hesitate to book this charter!

Alvaro was such a great sailor! Our group of four had a really nice time — Al went out of his way to make our excursion as comfortable as possible, despite some unforeseen stormy weather. We would absolutely recommend and can’t wait to come back to Mallorca and go sailing with him again, hopefully on a sunny day next time! 😀 ☀️

We were so lucky to have had such an amazing boat captain, Alvaro, show us around the northwest corner of Mallorca from the perspective of the water! From start to finish, Alvaro went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and ensure we had the best time possible, even when rain threatened to delay our excursion. I booked our trip months in advance and he was super communicative with me even until it was time to get on the boat. We really enjoyed getting to know him in person and it was so nice to get his perspective of living on the island and other stories of traveling the world. We really appreciated his enthusiasm to make our time memorable and his overall welcoming and friendly disposition. He was kind enough to indulge us in getting the sails up for a bit even with the weather being somewhat unpredictable, which we really loved having had a sailboat in the past. He even was so nice to send me restaurant and winery recommendations for later in our stay and we couldn’t be more thankful as it gave us a locals insight to the island. This was easily the best thing we did while on the island and I will definitely book another sailing excursion with Alvaro the next time we visit! Alvaro was absolutely amazing! The boat day was a highlight of our honeymoon. He handled our lunch reservations, found the best spots to swim and was an overall blast to chat with. Super easy to find at the port upon arrival. We would book him again and again. Thank you!!

Alvaro was awesome taking us out all day, super friendly host & made the final day of our honeymoon perfect! We had great fun seeing the coastline, he arranged lunch at a cliff top restaurant & sailing back. Amazing skipper!

We had an excellent full day excursion aboard the Kalima. We admired the views, snorkeled, paddle boarded, sunbathed on the bow of the boat, and had lunch at a seaside restaurant in Cala Tuent. The boat’s captain, Alvaro, was pleasant company and very conscientious, paying attention to our needs and also watching the weather conditions for safety. Would absolutely book again in the future!

We had a lovely experience with Al on his boat, Kalima. He was a lively, warm, charming host. I'm 69, short, stout. Al was attentive and helpful when needed...and, albeit slow, I was game for the experiences he planned for us. The dinghy was fun. On the boat it was smooth sailing, by motor that day. While taking in the fantastic scenery of the Traumuntana and the incredible blues and greens of the ocean we had drinks and great conversation. Lunch was a cool adventure!!! Food was good enough; service great; setting dreamy. The peak experience for me...snorkeling. it was a sea blue scene with beautiful underwater views...a peaceful floating meditation!! Thanks, Al!!! Highly recommend.

Sailing with Alvaro was the highlight of our trip. Already looking forward to the next time we can book with him next time.

The trip was absolutely perfect! Al, who is the owner and the captain took us on a beautiful route. We sailed north and first stopped for a swim at a little Cove called the Chambers. After that we sailed up to.Cala Tuent. It was a beautiful turquoise cove, and he made us lunch reservations at a restaurant that sat above the Cove with a beautiful view. We got to paddle board, swim, and snorkel. We made another stop on the way back for a swim and a little Cove. Everything was perfect! It was one of our favorite days in all of my York! Highly recommend to anyone looking for a perfect day. Al was an incredible host and Captain!

Easily the best day of our 9day stay in Mallorca. Just magic. We are a family of 5 with young teenage kids. Al the local captain showed us the best rock jumping places including an epic cave rock jump. Ask him to do a backward flip off the highest jump! Special day.

Unforgettable Sailing Trip with Alvaro! We booked a day trip on Alvaro’s sailboat and were absolutely thrilled! The day flew by as we sailed along the breathtaking coast of the Tramuntana mountains. The views were simply spectacular. We stopped in several beautiful coves to go snorkeling or explore the bays on a stand-up paddleboard – a true highlight! The lunch Alvaro organized for us was perfect. The hike up to the restaurant was a bit challenging, but absolutely worth it. Alvaro is a fantastic guide – friendly, informative, and with a great sense for when to share interesting facts and when to just let you relax and enjoy the moment. We would do this tour again in a heartbeat and can highly recommend Alvaro!

This is the BEST boat rental company, we are so happy we booked through them. They are so friendly, respond to questions immediately, and has a solution to everything (they told us exactly where to park our car for example)! They offer free beer, wine, and water on the boat and are so attentive to service. The captain was so knowledgeable and friendly and made the trip so easy. They also accept USD so no need to figure out finding an exchange place. 100% book this if you’re looking to rent a boat in Port De Soller, trust me!

Een onvergetelijke mooie ervaring langs de meest idyllische baaitjes van Mallorca. Schipper Alvaro laat zijn gasten helemaal thuis voelen op de boot en weet precies te vertellen waar je langs de kust het lekkerst kan lunchen. Verder is er ook nog tijd om door het prachtige blauw heldere water te snorkelen. Ik kan dit iedereen aanraden.

This was a wonderful boat trip and Alvaro was so very professional throughout. There was great communication from the start,and he was very flexiable with the arrangements so they worked best for us. We had two wonderful swims at two locations and the use of a paddle board which was great fun. This was a lovely family memory to make.I would recommend a trip on this beautiful boat to anyone.

We had a great time sailing with Álvaro from Sails Up. He is a wonderful host and we felt very safe sailing with him. He speaks very good English too which makes it easy to make arrangements. His boat is immaculate. All in all, we highly recommend Sails Up and will return for another sail for sure!

My family and I cannot recommend spending a day with Alvaro on his beautiful boat highly enough!! It was such an exceptional experience- an absolute highlight of our travels throughout Spain and Morocco. We chose to spend a full day and we are so glad we did…taking our time to enjoy the gorgeous coves we couldn’t have accessed otherwise. Alvaro prepared everything- reservations for lunch midway through our day, a car ride for the last stretch of the way up to lunch since our daughter was on crutches, a variety of drinks to enjoy while sailing, a perfect route. He went above and beyond on multiple occasions, beyond the day we sailed, to help us with recommendations for what villages to visit, reservations at must-visit restaurants. He is a true gem of a human!! So fun and easy to spend the day with. Without a doubt, we will sail with him again when in Mallorca next. This is an experience you should absolutely treat you and your family to!!

Throughly enjoyed a half day out on the water with Sails Up. Anchored at 2 spots, swam & got to see some of the beautiful coastline of North West Mallorca 🤗

We had an amazing sunset 4 hour boat tour. The boat is nice and clean and amazing. Alvaro was very accommodating and kept us engaged throughout. He was a great host and his “Kalima” is very well kept. Worth every penny, we would definitely come back next summer for a full day trip.

Es la segunda vez que reservamos aquí: el primer día nos llevó a comer a La Foradada, el patrón se encargó de hacernos la reserva y nosotros solo nos preocupamos de disfrutar! Volvimos un segundo día y escogimos la opción de medio día por la tarde para ver el sunset… de las mejores puestas de sol que he visto nunca! Álvaro es encantador y te enseña sitios realmente secretos de la zona, la combinación perfecta entre diversión y relax. Seguiremos repitiendo con él cada vez que volvamos!!!

Alvaro took the 6 of us an amazing tour of the Mallorca coast! We got to find the best spots for cliff diving and exploring caves. We also were able to just sit back and relax and take in the breathtaking views. This was truly the highlight of the trip!

Such a fun sail! Alvaro was so kind and took us (including a toddler) for a beautiful ride to Cala Deia. Couldn’t recommend it more!

Wir hatten gestern eine 2-stündige Tour bei Álvaro gebucht und hatten einen tollen Nachmittag bei bestem Wetter. Wir konnten schnorcheln, Standup paddeln und in einer Bucht schwimmen. Auch unseren Kindern hat der Trip super gefallen und sie konnten einen ersten Eindruck vom Segeln gewinnen. Wir können Sails Up sehr empfehlen und kommen definitiv wieder.

The best day of our trip - exceeded all expectations - book this!! Alvaro drove us to coves with turquoise waters where we could swim with no one else around. He also arranged an incredible lunch for us on the cliffs that we reached by boat. The boat was beautiful, clean and spacious with plenty of shade and also an option to sit at the front and lounge in the sun. Alvaro had beer, water, and soda for us on board and let us play our own music on his Bluetooth speaker. He was also a true joy to be around - we had so much fun chatting with him and learning about the island. All around an absolutely incredible day - we will be back!

We were so pleased with the lovely trip with Alvaro and his nice boat. He took us to some magical places for swimming and snorkeling. Alvaro is a really good captain and took well care of us. We were four adults and four small kids and we all appreciated this. We can truly recommend this trip and adventure to everybody!

We booked a four hour sail along the northwest coast and enjoyed every minute. The skipper Alvaro was super friendly and patient with all our newbie questions about the area. He provided the snorkel gear and the wine after our swim. A fun and relaxing afternoon.

We did a fabulous sunset cruise with Alvaro. He was very responsive and quick to answer my questions pre booking. He met us precisely on time and we sailed down the coast chatting all the way - he was excellent company. The sunset was beautiful. Beer, soft drinks and water are provided and you can bring anything else you want to. The boat is immaculate and very clean and comfortable. We cannot recommend Sails Up enough.

Best experience in Port de Soller! We booked a day sailing trip with Alvaro and it was the highlight of our holidays. He took us snorkeling inside the blue caves and booked lunch for us in Sa Foradada. First time sailing the north coast and we are definetely coming back. Thank you Alvaro!

The most amazing experience! A must do if in Soller or the surrounding area. We spent the day dipping in and out of different coves, swimming and stand up paddle boarding with the most incredible views along the way. It was the skipper Álvaro who made the day so memorable for us. You couldn’t ask for better- he is not only very knowledgeable but is the perfect host and great company. We have done a few charters now and this one was by far the best! I would recommend Sails Up to anyone and we will definitely be booking again soon.
