Wine and tapas tasting here was such a good experience. The guy that hosted was absolutely brilliant! We learnt so much and were thoroughly entertained. 5 stars!

Wine tasting with tapas evening was excellent. Paco was extremely knowledgeable. We learned a great deal. There were 5 very different wines and we had tapas to go along with each. Paco was able to cater for myself being gluten free. This was well worth the money.

Very much enjoyed the wine tasting. Paco was our host. You got a nice amount of wine to taste and the tapas that accompanied it was tasty. Cost me €35 which I thought was a good price. Definitely recommend.

For those not in the mood to read my entire booklet of a review, here is a little spoiler: I am leaving a long but absolutely positive review about my experience with Alicante Tasting Club and their Wine Tasting and Tapas Club. I 100% recommend booking with them. I visited Alicante together with family and friends to celebrate my special birthday. One of my wishes was to spend my birthday doing a wine tasting. During my search, I came across Alicante Tasting Club, which offered their Wine Tasting and Tapas Club. Since we were quite a specific group (vegetarians, non-pork eaters, and non-drinkers), I reached out to ask whether this would cause any issues. I also noticed that they did not have any activity planned on my actual birthday, so I asked if they happened to have anything planned or were thinking about arranging something that day. Quite quickly, I received a message saying that they would be happy to accommodate everyone in our group. To my surprise, they graciously offered to organise a private tasting for us for my special occasion, despite it being their family day off, and without any extra cost. I felt absolutely honoured and happily accepted the offer. The team gave us a truly wonderful experience. Paco, our sommelier, organised a lovely evening filled with laughter and even a few happy tears. We tasted fantastic wines and learned so much about wine tasting, wine making, and wine pairing that we still talk about it weeks later. Paco shared his knowledge with such joy and humour that it was impossible not to be drawn in. They also took everyone’s special wishes into account, which was and still is deeply appreciated. The food matched the wine beautifully, and each dish even had its own story. The cherry on top came when Carlos joined us near the end of the evening to say hello, and he and Paco surprised me with a treat and a candle to celebrate my birthday. It was such a touching gesture and an absolute tear-jerker. These two helped make my birthday one of the best I have ever had. I highly recommend booking your wine tasting with Alicante Tasting Club. You will have a wonderful experience. I wish the team at Alicante Tasting Club nothing but love and success, and I hope they continue doing what they do because it truly works. Booked the historical tour with tapas tasting. Our guide Fran was great. Very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. A lovely way to spend a morning in Alicante. Definitely recommend and well worth the money.

Our guide Francisco (Fran) was fabulous. Very knowledgable and helpful. We did the walking tour with tapas early in our trip and it provided a great overview of the area. Other members of our group had done a wine tasting tour with this company and said it was a lot of fun.

It was an amazing experience, if you want to do a cooking class like you see in movies I definitely recommend going with them ! And choosing the ingredients in the fresh market is a must, the experience, the taste are incredible. Also a BIG thanks to ANDREA. she was the highlight of the show, so nice, so funny, your learn a lot with her. We will definitely miss you !

Such a fun experience for our little group of three! We went to the market, met local vendors, learned about the foods, and learned to make an awesome paella while drinking local beer and wine. Great experience and Marina was amazing!

AMAZING EXPERIENCE! Did it on our first day in Alicante and it was so good! The walk through the markets with history included, learning the history of paella and aroz and making a delicious dish whilst drinking wine from the local region was just a great way to start our trip!

The Tasting Club offers a full cultural experience. The host is super passionate and makes you feel like part of a local foodie family. Wir hatten das Vergnügen, sowohl an einem Weintasting als auch an einem Arroces-Kochkurs im Alicante Tasting Club teilzunehmen – und es war einfach fantastisch! Beide Erlebnisse waren authentisch, professionell und mit viel Leidenschaft gestaltet. Der Arroces-Kochkurs begann mit einem Besuch auf dem bekannten Markt, wo wir viele wertvolle Tipps über einheimische Spezialitäten und die besten Zutaten für eine perfekte Arroces erhielten. Anschließend ging es an die Zubereitung, bei der uns die Gastgeber mit viel Wissen und praktischen Ratschlägen begleiteten. Beim Weintasting haben wir nicht nur großartige lokale Weine probiert, sondern auch viel über ihre Herstellung, Aromen und die Region gelernt. Die Atmosphäre war entspannt, herzlich und perfekt, um die kulinarische Vielfalt Alicantes zu entdecken. Wir hatten jede Menge Spaß, haben viel gelernt und können den Alicante Tasting Club uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen!

A place everyone should visit while in Alicante. Great wines paired with tasty tapas was served and presented by the great sommelier Paco who shared his knowledge in a kind and inspiring way. All contact with the owner Carlos went smothly and he is a true Alicantino who gladly shared his best restaurant tips and must visit places. Thank you, we will be back for sure!

My husband and I came to Spain for our honeymoon this past week. We were not quite sure what to do but were interested in learning more about the local cuisine. We found out about the Alicante Tasting Club online and decided to give the cooking class a try. We are so glad we did!! Marina, who has been with the company almost 2 years now, was the perfect guide and hostess. She first took us to the local market, where we were able to see the local produce and meet the sweet people of Alicante. (She had pre-purchased the ingredients for the paella so as to not waste time.) From the market we walked 5 minutes to the kitchen & dining room the company rents for the lessons & wine tasting. It was very nice, and clean. Marina guided my husband, me, and another gal on the tour in making chicken paella, step by step. It was great we all got hands-on experience, from chopping vegetables & chicken, to stirring the mix. We ate together afterwards & enjoyed it very much! The complimentary wine/ beverage was a very nice addition to the meal. Would definitely recommend this cooking class/ tour! 😊

We’ve been to many wine tastings in different countries, but this was the most informative and fun one yet! The host was very knowledgeable and the small group made it a lovely and intimate evening. Highly recommended - we will definitely be coming back again!

I thoroughly enjoyed the tour with Carlos the owner. We were treated to some delightful tastings and wine Mercado Central. When you wanted more, you just had to say "Carlitos, uno mas!" Carlos was insightful and often funny and kept us entertained for the 2 hours of the tour. It's the locals like him that makes Alicante very special. I recommend this tour for anyone wanting to discover the Mercado Central. Viva España!

My first time experience was super great

Last year during our city break to Alicante we did the Secret Favours of Alicante tour which was a wonderful tastebud and cultural experience with Carlos. This year we came back for more, this time with the Wine Tasting and Tapas Club. It is set in a relaxing environment where we learnt about Spanish wines and again sampled tapas prepared by Carlos. Another visit to Alicante is needed in 2025 to do the Paella Masterclass!

Both Marco and Carlos took the time and made lots of efforts in walking us through the history of Alicante while showing us how to appreciate the local wine and traditional food! The portion of wine and food are really generous not to mention the great quality! One of my best wine tasting experiences!

We are a family from Germany, we've been searching for a cooking course and luckily found them. They were able to give us an appointment that met our recommendations. The rooms were really nice and clean. The chef, named Marina, was extremely nice and made us feel welcomed. We went to buy some ingredients before cooking an easy and traditional dish with her. The food was delicious and we will definitely make it at home again. She also gave us many information while cooking and being out. I definitely recommend going to them if you search for a private and nice experience.
