Wine Tasting Mallorca

Sven hosted 3 of us for an incredible wine journey at his home. The roof terrace was magical and he coached the group through some of the details of tasting wine and also learning how to describe what you’re tasting! The wines were wonderful as were the nibbles and tapas he served alongside. He’s a great guy and made the whole experience very special. Highly recommended if you’re in the area!

Sven the host was very informative and very organised. We were given information about wines and so we were able to say what we could smell taste and see from the look of each wine what category they fell into. There were different cheeses made on the island, along with other nibbles. It was a very enjoyable evening despite the thunder storm and heavy rain. Thank you Sue & Steve

Sven was a fantastic host. I have partaken in wine tours before, and this one was truly so unique and personable. He did an amazing pairing of food and wine together. And! The tour was on his personal rooftop terrace between late afternoon and sunset. Would revisit this for sure! If you’re thinking about booking, do it!

We had a wine tasting experience with Sven as a celebration of our daughter’s birthday while on holiday in Majorca. We were lucky Sven was able to come to our holiday house and he set up the experience for us at an outside seating area. He is very professional but friendly so we felt very relaxed and comfortable with him. Sven started by finding out about our wine favourites while we enjoyed a glass of lovely Cava - a special birthday treat. We learnt a lot about how to taste wines, using his specially designed tasting form. The wines and local food pairings were often a revelation to us and we hope we can take our learnings back to UK and to keep tasting!

We had an absolutely wonderful wine tasting experience in Mallorca! From the moment we arrived, our host made us feel incredibly welcome warm, knowledgeable, and truly passionate about wine. You can immediately tell that this isn’t just a job for him, but his great love, and he shares his expertise in such an engaging and approachable way. The location was beautiful and intimate, creating a very family-like atmosphere where everyone quickly felt at ease. The selection of wines was excellent, carefully chosen and perfectly presented, with fascinating stories and insights behind each one. What made the evening extra special was the sense of connection: we not only discovered amazing wines but also met lovely people and enjoyed wonderful conversations that continued long after the tasting itself. It was a joy from beginning to end and I can only recommend this experience to anyone visiting Mallorca. A true highlight of our trip!

Lieber Sven, Ein sehr gelungener Abend bei dir. Auch wenn die 5-Sterne beim ersten Lesen nicht jedem "authentisch" wirken, kann man dir nicht weniger geben. Absolut gerechtfertigt! Du hast dir sehr viel Mühe gegeben. Deine Weinauswahl und noch mehr dein Wissen über Wein haben uns begeistert und den Horizont erweitert. Danke für den Einblick in verschiedene Weine und besonders die Mallorquinischen Weine. Auch deine Empfehlung nach Can Gelat. One of my favorite things I did in Mallorca. Sven is an amazing smolier and a joy. If you like wine and want to hang with an amazing local - this is a must. I lived in Napa for years and learned more from Sven in 4 hours then years of US wine country.

Our group had a fantastic evening with Sven on his rooftop patio. His passion for wine and commitment to improve the knowledge of his guests really shines through! We enjoyed 5 wines, customized to our taste, and delicious local food pairings. We all had a lot of fun and have no hesitation in recommending this experience to others who find themselves in Mallorca. We look forward to connecting with Sven when we are next on the island!

Wat een ervaring in Pollença! Op een prachtig dakterras genoten van wijnen die perfect aansloten bij onze smaak, maar ons ook verrasten. Sven was flexibel, vriendelijk en maakte het persoonlijk; het voelde echt alsof je met een vriend aan het proeven was in plaats van een formele proeverij. Daarbij waren er heerlijke lokale hapjes die de wijnen helemaal tot hun recht lieten komen. Relaxte sfeer, goed gezelschap en veel nieuwe favorieten ontdekt. Absoluut een aanrader! 10/10

Sven gives a fantastic and intimate wine tasting experience in Pollença and the surrounding area. I ended up meeting him for a private tasting with my partner and in addition to his deep expertise in wine, he’s great and fun company. I couldn’t recommend him more and we’re even planning a follow up with a larger group of friends. Definitely reach out if you’re looking for a guide through the beautiful wines of Mallorca.

The wine tasting was fantastic. We enjoyed some excellent wines, and Sven and his girlfried gave us a wonderfully warm welcome on their beautiful rooftop terrace. Sven himself guided us into the world of wine with great skill and passion, even tailoring the experience to our individual preferences. We had the most fab experience with Sven at Wine Tasting Mallorca. He was so knowledgable about the wines and catered to our wine preferences on the day in the most beautiful rooftop setting. He and his partner also accommodated our dietary requirements to serve incredible vegetarian/vegan snacks (not easy to replace ibérico and other non-veggie options!) which we appreciated so much and really made our experience 11/10. Sven is the best around! We had a wine tasting evening in our garden and Sven made it incredible. He has so much knowledge and is a great wine tasting teacher! We all had so much fun and learnt so much about the wines and the art of tasting. I would recommend to everyone!!!! The best evening of our holiday by far!

We enjoyed a wonderful evening sampling locally produced wines, perfectly paired with regional delicacies, on a lovely sunny roof terrace in the centre of Pollenca old town. Sven expanded our knowledge of local wines, introducing us to varieties we might never have discovered on our own, whilst provided valuable tasting tips and how to identify specific characteristics. We were joined by some fellow Scots which topped off the evening. Overall, I would highly recommend this experience—Sven even provided great recommendations for local dining spots!

Me and Victoria had a brilliant private wine tasting experience with Sven. He was very personable and provided an excellent experience one that we will remember. The wine tasting took place on the cozy rooftop in the private apartment of the host but it is possible to have him come to your place. The wine selection contained rosé, white and red wine. Personal preferences are taken into account. We were nicely guided through the tasting itself and the host explained very well how to identify the different qualities (wine body, dry/sweet, different aromas, etc). The snacks that were served, were delicious and matched the wines nicely. The host himself, Sven, is a very sympathetic guy. All in all, a very pleasant experience.

Hij presenteert de wijnen met veel kennis, geeft een uitgebreide uitleg over het ruiken/proeven en doet dit op een leuke en persoonlijke manier. De wijnen waren ook heerlijk!! Mochten wij in de toekomst teruggaan naar Mallorca, dan zouden we het zo nog eens doen. Absoluut een aanrader!!

Sven nam ons mee op een hele leuke avond. Op zijn gezellig terras, kregen we uitgebreid uitleg over de kunst van het ruiken en proeven van verschillende wijnen. Een schitterend einde voor onze mooie vakantie in Mallorca. We hebben een fantastische tijd gehad en zijn dankbaar voor de ervaring.

Wij hebben tijdens onze vriendinnen vakantie in Mallorca een enorme leuke middag gehad. Sven zorgt voor een leuke ontspannen sfeer, waardoor de tijd echt voorbij vloog en je zelfs met een korte concentratie boog er constant bij blijft. Naast lekkere wijn verzorgt wine tasting Mallorca ook nog eens heerlijke hapjes. Zeker een aanrader, bedankt Sven!

This is a really great wine tasting experience. Without sounding too much like a douche, I have done wine tastings before. But this one with Sven was right up there! He really knows his stuff and our group of four had a great time tasting, chatting and learning! Wir hatten einen absolut fantastischen Abend beim Wein-Tasting in Mallorca bei Sven zu Hause! Sven war ein unglaublich herzlicher und kenntnisreicher Gastgeber, der es verstand, uns auf eine spannende Reise durch die Welt des Weins mitzunehmen. Die Auswahl der Weine war hervorragend, und jeder Tropfen war ein Genuss. Die Atmosphäre auf der Dachterrasse mit einem Blick über die Dächer von Pollenca war einfach perfekt. Stunning experience all around. Truly a highlight of our week-long trip to Mallorca. Sven is a knowledgeable, fun, and gracious host. We were pleasantly surprised with the intimate private tasting and rooftop location. Sven completely tailored the tasting to the types of wines we enjoy drinking and surprised us with a few we absolutely loved. Sven war ein super Gastgeber bei dem Mallorquinische/Spanischem Weintasting auf unserer Finca. Er legt den Fokus auf den eigene Geschmackswahrnehmung und Weinvorlieben. In den 2 Stunden hat man viel über die Grundlagen von Weinaromen gelernt und sich in der Wahrnehmung von 5 einheimischer Weinen geübt. Dazu gibt es dann hervorragend Appetizer in super Qualität. Sven überzeugt mit seiner freundlichen und lockeren Art und bietet so neben dem Weinerlebnis auch ein lauen Sommerabend als Gesamtpaket. Absolute Empfehlung!

Onze recente wijnproeverij was niets minder dan een magische ervaring. We hadden gekozen voor het premium pakket en het bleek een uitstekende keuze te zijn. De avond overtrof al onze verwachtingen en bood een unieke kans om de lokale wijncultuur op een zeer persoonlijke en diepgaande manier te leren kennen. De proeverij vond plaats in de rustieke charme van ons gehuurde huis, omringd door de rustige kant van Mallorca. Dit zorgde voor een intieme en ontspannen sfeer. Sven, de sommelier, had de tafel prachtig gedekt met een selectie van glazen en smaakvolle hapjes die perfect bij de wijnen pasten. Die de smaak nog naar een hoge niveau tilde. **Lokale pareltjes** Wat deze proeverij bijzonder maakte, was de focus op lokale wijnen. Mallorca heeft een rijke wijntraditie en Sven had enkele van de beste wijnen van het eiland geselecteerd. Van frisse witte wijnen gemaakt tot een ecologische gamet, elke wijn was een ontdekking op zich. Het was fascinerend om te leren hoe het unieke klimaat en de bodem van Mallorca bijdragen aan de bijzondere smaakprofielen van deze wijnen. Sven was een ware expert en wist zijn uitgebreide kennis op een zeer toegankelijke en boeiende manier te delen. Hij vertelde ons over de flora en fauna van de Mallorca, de specifieke kenmerken van de lokale druivensoorten en de moderne wijnproductietechnieken die gebruikt worden. Zijn uitleg was rijk aan interessante details en anekdotes, wat de ervaring zowel leerzaam als vermakelijk maakte. Wat de proeverij extra leuk maakte, was de interactieve benadering. We werden aangemoedigd om onze observaties en vragen te delen, wat leidde tot levendige en leerzame discussies. Het premium pakket bood ons de kans om enkele van de beste lokale wijnen te ontdekken, begeleid door de deskundige uitleg van Sven, een gepassioneerde wijnliefhebber. De combinatie van de prachtige setting, de hoogwaardige wijnen en de educatieve aanpak maakte het tot een avond om nog lang over na te praten. Always a must do when we travel to Mallorca. We have been multiple times and are always more than satisfied with the selection of local and regional wines during the tasting. Sven has a master class knowledge of the products and also provides a nice selection of local tapas during the tasting. If you haven't had the opportunity to do a tasting make sure and put it on your list as you will not be disappointed. Highly recommended and will be back again and again. Sven came to do a wine tasting for my family at our house in Pollensa. It was great fun and would recommend. All the wines were fabulous and it was lovely having a different kind of evening. He brought beautiful and very well thought out wines - a lovely selection - together with some locally produced tapas bits to go with it! Not sure how I managed to cook a rib of veal afterwards for us all - definately felt a bit cansado the following day!

One of my very favourite experiences in Mallorca! Sven had a great mix of knowledge and silliness which kept the entire evening super fun but educational. The terrace was the perfect setting for a small/intimate group and the decor made for very cute photos. Since the experience, I feel like I have been able to be more intentional in my appreciation of wine tasting! 12/10!!!

Home Sweet Home! Loved the experience, loved the vibe and adored the wine Sven chose for our private group of 3! Such an energy bundle and great host with a lot of knowledge of wine. Food was tasteful and brought from local farms, which accompanied with the wine-choice he gave us was just perfect. The wine tasting with Sven (and also his girlfriend Marloes) was a fantastic experience for us. We got to learn quite a bit about wines while also having a great time getting to know Sven and Marloes and learning about their life in Mallorca. Easily the best wine tasting/ masterclass we've had and we'd recommend it to anyone! Will be back next time we visit!

Our family had a lovely visit from Sven and at the end of the evening we had enjoyed five delicious wines, generously served, wonderful accompanying hors d’oeuvres, and learned so much about Mallorca wines and wines in general. It was wonderful to relaxed in our own villa while Sven brought the best of thes island’s wines to us. It was a highlight of our week in Soller!

Sven was an amazing! He came to our rental house in Soller and gave us a private and varied wine tasting in the privacy of our home - perfect as we had younger.children running around. La dégustation de vins avec Marie-Louisa a été une expérience fantastique pour nous quatre ! Marie-Louisa nous a mis à l'aise très rapidement. Le rooftop avec le coucher du soleil était charmant et très confortable. Concernant la dégustation: elle avait préparé un plateau de collations locales dont chacune était un mariage intéressant avec chaque vin que nous avons dégusté. La dégustation de vin est adaptée à chaque groupe avec intelligence et nous avons adoré leur sélection. Les vins sont intéressants et on sent que Marie-Louisa et Sven sont allé chercher des perles rares en Espagne; dans notre cas, les rouges proposés étaient loin des clichés des vins Espagnols trop "solaires" et les blancs étaient tout en équilibre avec une certaine fraicheur. Question quantité: ne vous attendez pas à une dégustation comme dans les caves françaises dans lesquelles on vous sert un fond de verre pour chaque vin. Ici, vous aurez sans doute 4-5 vins à déguster et un bon verre à chaque fois - ce qui permet de vraiment apprécier le produit (et ce qui justifie le prix de cette expérience). Par contre, bien prévoir le retour pour ceux qui viennent en voiture! Nous recommandons sans hésiter pour tous les amateurs de vins et de convivialité.

Sven organised a wine stocking for my holiday to Puerto Pollensa and came up with a great selection of Spanish and Mallorcan wines in line with my preferences - all of which were very much enjoyed!

Additionally, he went the extra mile, guiding us to a local butcher for a nice goat cheese and a charming café for a delightful coffee experience. Flexibility was one of his key traits. Despite the long journey from Peguera, he accommodated our schedule, making us feel valued and appreciated as participants. Throughout the tasting, we savored white wine, red wine, and cava, with his expert guidance making each sip an adventure of its own. Great experience! Sven is an excellent wine connoisseur and very passionate about it. His personal selection of Mallorcan and Spanish wines was fantastic. The tasting takes place in a cozy atmosphere on his rooftop terrace where we enjoyed the beautiful view of Pollenca - highly recommend it!
