We had a fantastic self-guided walk on the Camino Frances by Fresco. The pre-trip support was great, the selected lodging was amazing and the in-trip logistical support was flawless. It allowed us to just focus on our pilgrimage and to be confident that everything would be all set at the end of the day. We used to backpack a lot when we were younger, and the inn-to-inn travel is all the fun of traveling long distance on foot with the luxury of staying. From breakfast, to lunch and dinner the meals were delicious.  Sandra and David put in great effort preparing our pleasurable picnic lunches set in great locations along the way.  Every evening we got a detailed map with helpful tips and highlights for next day’s route planning. Although we were a group of 16, we were able to go at our own pace for our personalized ‘camino’ experience and a guide always stayed behind to ensure we were accounted for. They understand that we each have our own purpose in doing this and respected that allowing us to fulfill our personal goals . Our wonderful bus driver Manolo (Manuel) was at the checkpoints along the way to provide water, snacks, and access to the bus if needed. Doing the Camino was on my bucket list and Fresco Tours ensured I was not disappointed. I highly recommend Fresco Tours!

I recently went on a 10 day El Camino Tour with Fresco. I think the words are not enough to describe how wonderful it was. From day one to the end, the service provided by Fresco team was above and beyond. What I appreciated most about the tour was the perfect balance between independence and support. I loved being able to explore at my own pace, knowing the team was always nearby and ready to assist if needed. This thoughtful approach made the trip feel both personal and seamless. Hotels, they picked for us and foods offered at restaurants, picnics and hotels were amazing. They all came with personal touch and adjustment to our personal needs. They even had a chocolate, strawberry birthday cake made for me just like the way my mom does. Whole crews' attention to detail was impressive. A special thanks to Miguel, whose kindness and willingness to listen and adjust the tour to fit our group’s needs truly enhanced the experience. His flexibility and attention made us feel cared for throughout. I also thoroughly enjoyed Eduardo’s rich historical stories about Spain, which brought each site to life in a way that was both engaging and informative. I booked a 200km “Fresco Start” tour on the French Way starting in Ponferrada. Well thought out stages and excellent hotel selections (some in locations with very limited options). Daily maps were clear, showing recommended left/right options and elevation changes. Our start went from fully booked to just the two of us when a large family group cancelled; our “Fresco Start” orientation was cancelled and a video was offered. Not much of a start. We’re mid-sixties and 70 years old. A sabbath rest would have been a welcome option. But we couldn’t do all stages without calling a taxi. Most pilgrims wore Hoka’s or equivalent shoes, which are all you need. My light, low cut hiking boots were unnecessary. Full breakfasts were included and were more than “continental “. Dinner and lunches are very reasonable cost with many options. Don’t worry about Spanish dining schedules. Camino establishments cater to early bedtimes!!

They paid attention to every detail. Accommodations were great. They are so organized, there is nothing left undone! I would love to participate in another of their tours ! A very enriching experience - My Fresco Camino Frances trip was very enriching. I learned about Spanish and Camino history, Spanish culture, Spanish food, and more. This was combined with great lodging, meals and other activities for a very memorable first Camino. Significant credit is due to our two guides (Sandra and Hector) who are excellent ambassadors for the Camino and Spain. I really liked that they would provide additional insights as you walked the Camino.

We used Fresco Tours to arrange our group of 33’s a Fresco Tour 115km experience and would highly recommend. Their team, especially Natalia and Alissa, were very thorough and responsive and made for a memorable experience for our group.

After three Caminos, I have used two different Camino tour companies and was blown away by Fresco in the two times I've used them. Their service is personal and prompt, their organization is exceptional, and the plans they deliver top notch. I always feel so cared for with Fresco, and they accommodate all of my particular asks. My husband and I recently completed the Fresco Start 200 KM from Ponferrada. If you are inclined to walk further than the 100+KM from Sarria, I highly recommend considering this option. We thoroughly enjoyed the varied experiences along The Way and found the town of O'Cebreiro and the two days from there to Sarria super enjoyable. The communication from Fresco is top notch. Also, the accommodations and restaurant recommendations made for a enjoyable trip. Don't hesitate to book with Fresco.

Hola everyone! Our group of 12 friends just finished an absolutely wonderful tour of Costa Brava, Catalonia, Spain! Fresco Tours provided an excellent tour management from beginning to end. Fresco Tours offered us: Frequent and thorough pre-tour informations (A, thank you!), the most wonderful, professional, funny and knowledgeable tour guides (D&M thank you!), outstandingly beautiful accommodations, delicious and healthy meals morning, noon and night, and the most breath-taking views of the Costa Brava coastline and environs. Awesome company

Just returned from taking a pilgrimage down the Camino (April 9 -21). Fresco Tours organized the trip and answered our many questions about the Camino. They were a large enough organization to handle our every need, yet small enough that it felt like a very personalized experience.

The Canary Islands trip was a different experience than our other three Camino tours. It offered spectacular volcanic views along with seaside towns and interesting history. As usual we were well cared for in terms of food, safety, and thoughtful planning. Fresco Tours has never disappointed!

Fresco Tours came highly recommended - and I was not disappointed! I loved everything about it - accommodations, food (especially the FABULOUS picnics - the high point of most days!) Anna and Miguel were wonderful guides and I believe it is one of the best walking holidays I have ever taken (and I've done a lot!)

Our Fresco Tour was beyond expectations, especially regarding our guides, the accomodations, the beauty of the Camino itself and organization. The stimulating new friends and awesome weather will be hard to beat, and unbelievably lucky, but this was a 10+.

I recently completed the 200 km on the Frances trail to Santiago de Compostela. Extraordinary experience and made so enjoyable due to the planning, execution and communication from Fresco Tours. They are the absolute best. I highly recommend them.

Best Camino tour ever

Our September 2023 Fresco Start 115 km tour did not disappoint. From the moment we booked (in February), the Fresco staff provided helpful information re. packing, training, historical facts, recommended books, along with pre and post trip planning suggestions. Our accommodations along “The Way” were very nice. Everything about the tour, including bag transfers between hotels, was very organized, including information given on how to speed the process in obtaining our Compostela. Our guided morning tour of the Cathedral was A+. We would definitely book with Fresco Tours again.

One of the best experiences of our lives, to be sure. Excellent in every respect. All aspects of this trip were remarkable.

Phenomenal service, good value, and lovely people!

The 200K self-guided tour was awesome - Fresco provided perfect, on-time information as well as luggage transfer without error and lodging that was excellent. The maps and plan they supply you for use during the Camino were well thought out and well written.

They were spectacular! We did the self guided 15day tour from Porto to Santiago. The accommodations were great, food great, bags arrived on time. We had one hiccup but it was not their fault at all and Alissa helped us out even on her vacation. It was a great trip.

A great experience with FRESCO tour doing the Camino Walk in Spain. Outstanding help from making bookings, the tour guides, the places we stayed, the food, and history and group sharing. The walk was amazing with the Kinder Camino tour.

I was a "reluctant" pilgrim, but Fresco changed all of that. Alyssa in the main office, our guides Ana and Natalia, comfortable accommodations, and tasty food all exceeded my expectations. OK, so we really were on the "Glamino" giving us the luxury of focusing on nothing but the walk and knowing that at the end of each day we would have a fabulous meal and wonderful accommodations. Our guides Ana and Natalia made it extra fun! They were great storytellers about the local history and were very caring!

All of my expectations were exceeded on the Kinder Portuguese Camino. The guides, the food, the accommodations, and the overall experience of slowly traveling through two beautiful countries was something I will always cherish!

Fresco tours was Amazing. Alissa always got back to us promptly and took car of any issues. The hotels they booked were excellent and our suitcase were always waiting for us when we hiked to the hotel.

I did a lot of research and read a lot of reviews prior to making the decision to go with Fresco Tours for my Camino walk. Fresco did not disappoint! Our tour guides David and Jon were outstanding. From the time they met us in Leon until our walk was complete in Santiago they ensured that our experience was a once in a lifetime event. Alissa assisted with all pre-travel questions and logistics and was always helpful. Fresco definitely provides a quality personalized experience for all hikers. I can’t say enough about the manors we stayed in and the family style meals. Jon and David also held evening meetings to discuss the next day hike and highlights and pointed out points of interest on our daily map. I will highly recommend Fresco Tours to my friends who plan on hiking the Camino, they are the best.

Great experience!

We just finished the Camino de Santiago walk from León with Fresco. I have to say that I couldn’t imagine a better way for first-timers to experience the Camino. Our guides (Carol and Alis, and Mirella who was in training and stayed for the first 2 days) were fun, knowledgeable, and really made the trip so memorable for us. They also put on an amazing spread for our daily picnic lunches! Fresco provides a support van that we met at checkpoints every few miles. Anytime we needed it, the van had water and snacks to help us refuel along the way. One day toward the end of our walk my leg cramped up beyond usefulness and I was able to ride the van to our lunch spot and spend an hour massaging it out. You have to walk at least 100km to get your certificate in Santiago, and starting in León gave us 165km. So skipping 4km to get my leg back in working order was a lifesaver and didn’t affect my getting the “compostela.” Many of the people we met along the trail commented on seeing our van, with a note of envy on how nice that service was for us. The hotels and meals Fresco selected for us were all wonderful (some better than others, of course, but all delicious and conducive to making fun memories with our cohort). I did recommend that they try some alternate spots in Portomarín, but we still had a good experience. Fresco really has this down to a science. They explain everything in great detail, giving you maps each day showing the route, elevation changes, and points of interest along the way. To anyone thinking of hiking the Camino, I highly recommend going with Fresco. In some of our hotels, we saw other tour groups similar to ours. In every case, their guides just seemed like they were doing a job. Our Fresco guides were much more attentive and nurturing, and I now consider them close friends. Well done, and Buen Camino!
