We attended the City tour and Alcazar tour with Mercedes. She was professional and fun. She is highly knowledgeable and was wonderful to have as a tour guide. She went the extra mile to help me find some specific fans I was looking for. She asked about it and I I was able to purchase the type of fans I was hoping to buy. We found the Walking Tour of Seville via Rick Steve. I can’t recommend Rick’s book and this tour enough.

Alfonso is a wonderful tour guide. He is very informative and imparts the information with humor. The tour gave us a great appreciation of the city and of places to return to. His suggestion for lunch at Las Columnas was excellent. The whole process from registering for the tour to the tour itself was very efficient. Highly recommend.

We had a very enjoyable morning with Mercedes, who is extremely knowledgable and entertaining. The group size was small and the pace was perfect, even for someone (like me) who is not the most fit. :) The walk gave us an excellent overview of the interesting aspects of the old city and suggestions for follow-up exploration. We highly recommend this wonderful experience!

Never found the tour group. The whole entrance to the Cathedral is chaotic because so many people visiting and if you are not fluent in Spanish it is difficult to get help with anything. The email directions sent by Sevilla Walking Tours were not informative about where to meet up and the tour was not well marked as there are many tour groups from many different companies. Some had a sign giving name of the company and that would have been helpful. Very disappointing.

The Alcazar is a beautiful place! The tile work, tapestries, plaster work and gardens are incredible. Our guide was very knowledgeable but the tour seemed rushed. We hung out a bit after the tour to take it all in.

Marina took us through the Cathedral and Alcarez. She is exceptionally pleasant, energetic and shares a wealth of information during the tour. Seeing these sights under her guidance really increased the already big impact they have making them even more memorable.

Mercedes was an experienced educator - excellent eye contact, repeated names, answered questions. Her explanation of the dollar sign made a familiar symbol full of meaning. For those of us who left school decades ago , may I suggest the use of images of leaders. She could refer back to an image used earlier. The ear devices worked well. Thank you. Our guide, Concepcion, was a wonderful communicator and an expert guide. We had a last minute change to our itinerary, so had to change our day and ultimately only got to experience half the tour. Boy, did we miss out. Be sure to book this as it is a tremendous introduction to the city and we got wonder tips about what to do and what should and shouldn’t miss!

Put this walking tour on your list of “must do in Seville” if you want a comprehensive tour of the Centro district of Seville. Our guide, Mercedes, was so knowledgeable about the history of Spain, even including side notes on the history of Flamenco. She took us by the best places for tapas, meals, and treats as well as the best fashion and ceramic shops. She curated the tour specific to our interests and needs. We only had one day in Seville, but her highlights and recommendations of things to do there made us want to come back again! If you have multiple days in Seville, take this tour first!

We hired Concepción for a personalized tour for a wedding group of Sevilla's downtown. She had very interesting stories, and also did a great job of answering questions about the history of the city both ancient and modern. Everyone in the group talked about how much they enjoyed it afterwards!

The tour is well-paced and provides great information. Concepción Speaks English fluently and clearly. My kids, ages 9 and 11, were engaged throughout the tour. It was the best tour among many we took during our 17-day trip to Spain.

I really enjoyed my Seville City Tour and tour of Alcazar Palace with Sevilla Walking Tours. My guide Alphonso was really knowledgeable, friendly, and he had a great sense of humor! He was patient with questions, and because the group was small, we were able to tailor the city tour to include a bathroom stop. Alphonso showed us some specialty shops and restaurants used by the locals—it was nice to get the “inside scoop”. I’d definitely use this tour company again!

This was a forgettable experience as due to confusion of the starting point we were not able to join the group a d there is no refund offered.

Took the walking tour followed by the alcazar, both with Mercedes. She knows her stuff and is very personable. And whereas some tour guides just recite facts and dates, Mercedes gave us a flavor of the local culture and made us want to stay in Seville just a bit longer to experience local life firsthand. Marisa is as good a guide as a tourist will ever have in any situation: poised, knowledgeable, and pleasantly friendly.

Unfortunately we weren’t able to find the group so missed the tour for the Cathedral but Mercedes did an excellent tour for the Alcazar Palace. The ticket instructions indicated to meet in front of the cathedral.

So looking forward to this cathedral tour after enjoying Mercedes city tour and Alcazar tours yesterday. However, we could not find our tour group today for the cathedral tour.🙁 Very disappointed but visited the cathedral and the tower on our own…magnificent sights to see!

Would not recommend to a friend. Started out with an ear piece to listen to the tour which did not feel personal or intimate, especially when there were only 8 people on the tour. The tour focused primarily on the shops downtown and not the history of the city. The guide was nice but didn’t really give details on what buildings were, several times said to go check out yourself listed the hours of when it was open. I recommend being more descriptive on your website on what this tour is and that listening headsets are used.

Great experience! Our guide Marina gave us a great introduction to the city, with what felt like a good amount of information without being overwhelming. As we did the tour during Easter, the tour was adapted a bit to explain some of the main traditions and sights we might see. Group size was good. I warmly recommend this tour and company!

I learned so much more about the city and both its history and current things that are going on in the area. A highlight was going inside one of the churches and getting to see three of the religious “floats” that will be used in the processions during the upcoming Semana Santa.

We did the Seville walking tour, along with the Cathedral and Alcazar tours, all in one day. We also opted to do the snack between the walking tour and the Cathedral tour which was a great decision. Tasty snacks and two drinks of your choice, on a rooftop patio overlooking the Giralda. Just perfect. Our guide for all three tours was Marina, and she was fantastic. Marina was gracious, engaged, and informed, all combining to make our tour of Seville a memorable one. Great introduction to old Seville, including history, culture and especially food and attraction recommendations. Mercedes was a fantastic guide to the city. I recommend booking ahead of time on your first day/morning in Seville, and take recommendations on what to do the rest of your days (tapas bars, desserts, shows...). I think they also do tours of the key attractions in the city, though we didn't try those. Might be worth a try!

You could not spend two hours more entertainingly and informatively. Good length and pace, nice blend of history, art architecture with every day life in today's Seville.

Concepción is absolutely superb. I say this as someone who has taken dozens of tours over the years, both private and group, in many countries. The best guides have expansive knowledge, excellent communication skills, a knack for engaging the senses and emotions, and a feel for the audience. Concepción has all of these qualities. If you are visiting Sevilla for the first time, I strongly recommend this as your first tour. It will give you an excellent overview and prepare you for other, more specific tours (I recommend the Cathedral and Alcazar tours that Concepción offers).

It was the most brilliant way to start our stay in Seville. Mercedes is a very knowledgeable and charming guide. We learned and saw a lot in 2 hours! Highly recommend to everyone. Walking is easy but wear comfortable shoes because of cobbled streets in the old town.

The tour was great! Maria was very friendly. She explained everything well. The duration was not too long and not too short. Her walking en speaking tempo are good. The interaction during the tour was nice. Maria asked us questions about the palace. We also booked the Game Of Thrones tour. That was an excellent addition! Maria told us a few interesting facts about filming. She showed us scenes from the serie so we could compare the two. Maria also showed interest in us by asking questions about the books and show. Marina was a very good guide. Lots of information about the cathedral and it's history. The group of 8 people was able to sort of swim through the crowds and see the sites. The tour ended inside the cathedral so we could take another spin through the space and really absorb what we had just learned. Worth every penny.

The walking tour was an amazing way to get a glimpse of Sevilla from a local lense, and helped us lay the ground work to explore more of the city on our own. She made great recommendations on restaurants and other sites to see. Technology utilization was above average, as the earpieces they provided us were clean, loud and provided crisp audio. Would recommend this company hands down to any family or friends looking to explore sevilla

Wonderful tour. Conception (‘Connie’) was fantastic. Very clear and organized speaker, lots of interesting facts, historical, cultural, funny, connecting Sevilla’s past to the present day. Highly recommended. I learned a lot, and have a much better idea of this beautiful city.

The tour was informative though lacked some energy and charisma. Twenty minutes in shopping alleys seemed to be too much. We read about this tour in Rick Steve's guide book and expected a higher quality. The equipment was not working well as well. Sometimes we were missing some info.

Conception was a wonderful and informative guide! This tour took place on my first morning in Sevilla. It was an amazing historical perspective on the oldest area of the city. This was an absolutely wonderful experience with Concepcion and a lovely group from across the globe. Concepcion introduced us to the multilayered history of the city through close observation of the architectural style and by noticing the abundant symbolism which is everywhere. This was all done with such care, grace and humour that I really cherished every moment. I started the tour as a tourist and now feel more a visitor, connected as I now feel with this incredible life filled city of Seville. Thank you Seville Walking Tours, thank you Concepcion, an unforgettable morning! This was followed by a brilliant tour of Seville Cathedral. I must admit I was initially overwhelmed by the scale of this Cathedral, however our guide calmly gave us the overarching story of the building, drawing out key moments in history, and connecting this to some absolutely magical works of art, including paintings by Murillo and, surprisingly, Goya. The following day I joined a superb tour of the Real Alcazar lead by Concepcion. She provided an absolutely brilliant explanation of the layers of history embedded in the building and its decorative schemes, the (many) connections to the history of the City, and an explanation of how an apparently Islamic palace can be clearly deciphered as Christian (so fascinating). A general point about the two tours inside (the Catedral and Real Alcazar), Concepcion arranged all of our (personalised tickets), and wrote to us individually to explain all of the practicalities. This is invaluable in itself. I wholeheartedly recommend linking the three separate tours, they work ever so well together. Throughout the three tours our guide made constant references and recommendations to other sites, palaces, parks, restaurants and tapas bars to explore in Seville (which I did). With each tour I felt my knowledge of the City was more connected and deepening, whilst also opening out my curiosity to learn more, and enjoy the experience of this City she clearly loves so much. Maravilloso! We took the Sevilla City Intro and the Alcazar tours the same day: Concepción, whom we found about on the Rick Steves tv show and his guides, is very knowledgeable and fun person to be around!

This is probably one of the best walking tours I’ve ever been on anywhere. I especially liked the high tech earphones made available to everyone in our small group that enabled clear, precise. Our guide Connie was amazing in the depth of her knowledge of Seville - she made it come to life! Would definitely recommend and go again

This was a great introduction to Seville. We did it on our first morning (before going in the cathedral or Alcazar). It was great to get some history and orientation of the city before seeing the monuments. Our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. Our kids appreciated that this tour was on the shorter side (most tours we’ve taken have been quite long). Recommend!

Mercedes provided a wealth of information about Sevilla’s rich history. She explained the complex influences of Phoenician, Roman, Visigothian (?), Islamic, Catholic, and Jewish cultures. We enjoyed her knowledgeable and very friendly presentation!

Mercedes our guide is passionate about her birth place and knowledgeable. Seville centre is huge and Mercedes tried her best to pack it all with information, but somewhere along the way it became boring. The drawback I have is the tour was monotonous and never engaging. There was never time to ask questions or share feedback. Another feedback for the tour company, Because Seville Centre is big and a tourist can easily feel lost, it would be helpful if a map of the tour route can be shown before the walk starts. This helps if a tourist wants to visit one of the landmarks afterwards.

Marina’s tour was both educational and enjoyable! We felt her love of Sevilla by how she explained the city’s rich history and engaged our group by asking us questions, like a teacher would. We had a great intro to our start at Seville. We were guided through the key city areas and land marks, introduced to a variety of shops and food locations, and heard anecdotes on how things came to be. We loved our time!

The Alcazar tour was well worth the time and money. A bit deep in history. Made me wish I had done more reading ahead of time. Navigating the crowds and photography were a little challenging but not terrible if you spend time after the tour.

What a terrible experience! I booked a ticket two months ago and got a confirmation. At the entrance they told us that there was some kind of internet problem and that there was no ticket for us! We paid 80 euros and got no refund!

My family of 4 just took a Alcazar tour with Marina of Sevilla Walking Tours. We booked it ahead of time directly on their website. We met at the designated time and location and Marina had the group of about 12 outfitted with audioguides so we could easily hear her. She also knew the security and got us into the Alcazar easily. She did a great job explaining the history of the royal palace; she told us a good deal about Sevilla’s role in the age of exploration and the many kings and royalty that lived/visited the palace. Fabulous tour and I highly recommend!

We heard about Sevilla Walking Tours from the Rick Steves Spain guidebook. The company responded right away to my email, and the communication about the meeting time and place was excellent. We spent a wonderful few hours with our tour guide Marina on both the city tour and the Royal Alcazar tour. The first tour was only eight people, and the second tour was just our group of two couples. Marina was an excellent tour guide for our first full day in Sevilla! She is a lovely person—so warm and friendly and enthusiastic about beautiful Sevilla! This tour was a highlight of our trip to Spain.

Concepcion provided a very detailed explanation of the Alcázar in a small group setting. Earpieces are unobtrusive and have good quality. Concepcion knows her history well and she speaks clearly with excellent English. She also has a good sense of humor. We had her on 2 separate tours and enjoyed both very much. This is a smaller operation and felt more personal than some of our other guided tours - it was with it to look them up.

She knows so much about the history and architecture of Sevilla, and her insights about Spanish culture clarified many things I've been wondering about since I arrived here for work several months ago. This was a great introduction to Seville as a real home rather than a one-dimensional tourist town. Concepcion was a fantastic guide, full of info, insights and interesting background that put this city into context. Connie is very knowledgeable and shares a lot of information. The cathedral is so enormous I honestly couldn't have understood it without her. Excellent tour We also toured the Seville city walk and the Alcazar with Mercedes. We learned a lot about the people of Seville. All 3 tours were very enjoyable and professional.

Our Sevilla city walking tour with Marina was excellent and a great way to start our visit. We walked around the cathedral area as well as through Santa Cruz and the old Jewish section. Marina explained the layers of civilizations who have inhabited this area and showed us architectural examples from each significant era. She also explained the significant symbols of Sevilla and of Andalucia found on flags, monuments, and public buildings. We learned about the cultural significance of the festivals and of the flamenco dance. We saw the best shopping area and got tips on where to eat. This tour is good value and we would definitely recommend it.

Excellent walking tour. Our guide knew a lot, was easy to understand, was quite nice, and even gave us several good restaurant suggestions, one of which turned out to be a great place for lunch. Reasonably priced as well. Well worth the time and money.
