We joined an 11-hour Lynx and birdwatching trip on Sunday and really enjoyed it. The Doñana area is an impressive mix of forest and open landscapes, full of wildlife. We saw many interesting birds, including birds of prey and owls, and even the Lynx! :) The overall list is ~80 species. Our guide Maria knew so much about the park’s residents, both migratory and local, their habits and behaviour. We were lucky with sightings, and overall it was a great experience. Definitely recommend!

We had a great experience with Vicent from beginning to end. The booking process was simple and Vicent was in touch quickly to arrange to pick us up from as near to our accommodation as a car could get! Our birding tour was fantastic! We saw over 50 species, and he was incredibly knowledgeable and fun as a guide. I really appreciated his deep love of birds, nature and habitat protection. Nos encantó la experiencia con Vicent, nos explicó un montón de cosas y aprendimos muchísimo con él. Vimos la berrea y bastantes aves, incluso algunas raras de ver a pesar de quedar poquita agua. Nos llevó a varios sitios diferentes para poder observarlas y atendió a nuestra petición de ver alguna rapaz nocturna y conseguimos ver 2 lechuzas y el mochuelo!! Muy feliz de poder haber visto nuestra primera rapaz nocturna. Sin duda si volvemos a ir repetiremos!!

We enjoyed a fantastic all day private tour with Vicent in mid September. It was a great break from Seville sightseeing and we saw at least 70 species including the local species. The waterbirds were awesome especially as the rangers at N Donana had been out surveying and pushing many hundreds of herons and ibises towards us. So considerate. Vicent’s knowledge was second to none and he looked after us beautifully. Thank you.

Had a scheduled tour in April 2025. Vincent said he wasn’t sure who would be my guide. He ended up letting me know the night before that he wasn’t going to be my guide and then pawned me on someone who barely spoke English and smoked cigarettes throughout the tour. The car was old with poor and loud A/C. If i hired this guide on my own it would have been half the price through his own tour company (which is targeted to locals from Spain and not English speaking tourists!). I missed a lot of birds due to communication barriers. Price to value ratio was low. I ended up getting more target species on my own the next day. Skip this company and find another who will treat you with respect and not lead you on and just try to take your money! Terrible experience!

Best birding tour in the region! Ask for Maria! She's a friggin magician when it came to identifying exactly where to look for birds. Other tour companies would scare the birds away, driving right up to them, meanwhile Maria is over here echo locating species 100m away in between some tufts of grass and pointing them out to us well in advance. All that and she's an excellent conversationalist with a passion and heart for birds and nature, we could not give her high enough praise! Over 40 bird species sighted on our tour, as confirmed by Merlin. Would absolutely do it again.

Maria was a wonderful guide who helped us identify multiple birds that we would have otherwise missed. Told us information about birds that only an experienced bir der would know and was able to identify q lot of the birds just by listening to their cals. We were also provided with multiple equipment that Maria taught us how to use and gave so we could see the birds better. She also ensured that even when we were just driving she did not bore us for Even a minute!

Vicent was a brilliant guide, very friendly, knowledgeable and organised. I had a fantastic day trip and we saw all my target species in good time. I highly recommend Vicent to anyone wanting a bird guide around Sevilla.

Doñana wings was so easy to communicate with, even before booking! They brought binoculars for everyone which I was so pleased with, since my friend didn’t have a pair. Our guide Maria was exceptional, she was not just knowledgeable, but funny and kind. She really cares about our planet and is in absolute love with the birds which is always the best! We had a blast, even though I am not used to just being on a car, we had enough stops where we got off and walk and were able to take good pics of the birds. We saw sooooo many flamingos, ducks, bee eaters, Raptors, and small birds. We were tired but happy after the tour. She also brought us water in case we needed it. We haven’t eaten breakfast so she allowed us to make a quick stop to buy some food. Thank you Maria!!

My wife and I just had the most amazing day bird watching in Brazo del Este, with Fernando Navarrette. With Fernando’s brilliant guidance, bird knowledge and expertise, we identified in excess of 50 birds. Highlights were definitely the Greater Flamingos, European Rollers, Yellow Crowned Bishop and Stone Curlew. Thank you Vicent ,Fernando & the Donana team for arranging a most magnificent day bird watching.

Escogimos el tour de Doñana Norte 8 horas, y la verdad es que la experiencia nos encantó. Tuvimos una guía insuperable: María, super entregada, y pedagógica. Es un pozo sin fondo de información sobre aves. Y vimos un montón de especies distintas. Creía que el tour de 8 horas se nos iba a hacer largo , y que a mis 3 hijas adolescentes les iba a resbalar todo, pero al contrario, María supo conectar muy bien con ellas y tuvimos un día en la naturaleza super agradable y aprendimos mucho. Nos llevamos un gran recuerdo la experiencia y un entusiasmo renovado hacia el mundo de las aves.

We did a half day trip with Maria when we were in Seville and she was absolutely fantastic. She picked us up from our hotel and at the end of a wonderful time delivered us to the airport for our next stop. A highlight was seeing flamingoes up close at the visitor centre

María nos hizo pasar un día magnífico. Gran conocimiento de las aves, sus cantos, como localizarlas y hasta cómo fotografiarlas mejor. Amable, cercana, entregada y con un verdadero don para transmitir su sabiduría. Vimos hasta 70 especies distintas. El material estupendo. Muy buen telescopio, muy luminoso y gran habilidad para localizar incluso pájaros pequeños con él. Tour completamente recomendable, que también hace en inglés.

We enjoyed a terrific day birding around Donana. Vincent knew the area intimately and made all efforts to make sure we found and saw the birds. Thanks to his expertise we managed to see all our target species, plus many more. A very enjoyable day in the field.

My family and I had a wonderful morning birding with Maria Beracoechea in early May during Donana Wings' half day trip to Donana North. Maria drove us through the park and near by, stopping wherever she or we saw interesting birds or flowers (!). In 3-4 hours we saw about 50 species, most new to us. She shared excellent binoculars with us and periodically we stopped and walked or she set up a scope and we could see birds even closer. Her commitment to and knowledge of environmental issues, birds and animals in Spain is impressive. We both saw and learned more than we expected for such a short tour. Thanks, Maria! Maria Beracoechea picked us up near our hotel at 6:30 am in Seville for a 12 hour day of birding. Maria was an excellent and very experienced guide. She knew the Donana Park and just where we might find certain species. My husband gave her a short list of the birds he was trying to see and we saw everything but the Imperial Eagle. My favorites were the red-knobbed coot and the Iberian Magpie. It as a spectacular day. Thank you Maria.

Wonderful day on the Grazelma & Ronda Tour. So much variety of birdlife to see and so well explained by the guide, in simply stunning scenery. Vultures, eagles, owls , spectacular bee eaters and so much more. Fabulous!. Highlight for me the beautiful blackeared wheatear. Thanks Vicent for a lovely day.

Nuestra visita a Doñana con María fue increíble. María sabe un montón sobre aves. Es capaz de reconocer a las aves a larga distancia, o por sus cantos. Además sabe los mejores sitios para verlas. María es muy simpática y amable. Estamos deseando repetir.

Wir waren mit María einen ganzen Tag im Nationalpark unterwegs. Auch wenn wir den gesuchten Luchs nicht gefunden haben, bot doch die Tour beim Birding ein Highlight nach dem andern und insgesamt 75 Vogelarten. Der krönende Abschluss war die Beobachtung eines Gleitaar-Paars, das über uns durchzog. Wir können María und Donana Wings herzlich weiterempfehlen.

We had a wonderful tour with Maria and Doñana Wings! We saw so many species and some birds we had really hoped to see. Including spoonbills, flamingos and bee eaters! The nature was gorgeous, such a nice break from fun but hectic Sevilla, highly recommend!!!

We booked a 5-days tour for the lynx and all Donana areas for birdwatching. Our experience was simply amazing: Vicent is the best guide and birdwatcher you can find around! He's not only a massive expert on finding birds and lynx, he's also a kind guy with a lot of passion for his job and nature. Of course we were lucky enough to see the lynx for 2 consecutive days (the first day we saw a couple from few meters for more than one hour), but it is not only a matter of luck: you need preparation, expertise and high knowledge of animals and environment, and Vicent offers all these features during his tours. Book a tour with Vicent and you'll be satisfied!

We had a fantastic day! Vincent is a great guide and tailored a route perfectly adapted to our wishes. He showed us a variety of different habitats and showed us many of our target species. Vicent knows his birds and where to find them. He gave us 4 very full days on the "whole of Donana" tour. It was well organized. I felt like we were always in good hands.

I went on the Donana Wings "Straits Of Gibraltar" tour with a friend in March 2025. This company is owned and managed by Vicent Esteller. Vicent collected us at Seville airport and was responsible for all transport on the tour until he returned us to Seville airport at the end of the tour. Vicent had also arranged our accommodation at a very comfortable hotel on the outskirts of Tarifa, where we we were well fed and looked after for the duration of the tour. The birding started almost immediately after leaving Seville when on our way to Tarifa we arrived at the site of a breeding colony of Bald Ibis which really got us into Birding mode! In the days that followed Vicent had to be flexible in our birding arrangements due to the weather, which was wet and windy. He managed this superbly enabling us to see most of the birds available at this time of the year. We had several visits to Watch Points to view the raptors crossing from Morocco and had great views of Short-toed Eagle, Booted Eagle, Black Kite, Osprey, Griffon and Egyptian Vultures. We visited other habitat including, Marshes , shore, clifftop, woodland and the Donana Wetlands giving us a total of just over 120 species. Vicent was an amazing guide with a good eye and ear finding birds wherever we went, he clearly had a passion and deep knowledge of the birds. He was also very client friendly in his day to day dealings with us, when collecting us in the mornings, in his driving, making arrangements for us and returning us to our hotel at the end of each day. I have been on a few different bird watching experiences in Seville and this is by far the best tour operator! I literally found Doñana Wings by googling “best bird watching in Seville”. My favourite moments were the owl dancing in its sleep, the white Crested Grebe mating dance, and being able to photograph the smaller common birds like the chifchaff. Estado en algunas tours de aves en Sevilla pero no hay comparación, que es el mejor. Literalmente encontré Doñana Wings con google “ la mejor observación de aves en Sevilla”. Mi recuerdos favoritos son de los bailes de aves y fotografía de los pequeños aves. Sin duda volveré!

I booked a full day tour and it was the best part of my trip to Sevilla. Vicent was so knowledgeable and so fantastic at spotting and identifying birds! He also knows a lot about the history and ecology of the area. According to my eBird app we saw 70+ different bird species that day, including some less common ones. We went to multiple areas and saw waterfowl, owls, and raptors. We travelled very far (90ish km total), but it was comfortable and we only walked short stretches at a time. When I'm next in Sevilla I would definitely like to book another trip.

Our all-day guided trip to Donana National Park with Vincent today surpassed all our expectations! Every moment was filled with information about the birds and ecology of the area delivered with expertise! Excellent tour with Vicent who was a knowledgeable and friendly guide. Thoroughly enjoyed seeing so much wildlife and learning a lot about an environment I knew nothing about. As an amateur it was great to be provided high quality binoculars and a scope and to have a guide with so much enthusiasm for bird watching and the environment.

Our second trip with Donana Wings and another perfect day out. This time we went to the Sierra Norte area and were treated to an amazing display of Raptors and a variety of equally stunning wildlife and scenery. Vicent is an amazing host and guide and we are already making plans for a third trip when next in Spain. We could not reccommend this more thoroughly.

Vicent and Donana Wings provided a great birding tour of the Donana area. Manuel Pazo was my guide and did a terrific job. We saw a great many bird species in a variety of habitats. I appreciated the fact Vicent was able to advance the tour date by one day to avoid oncoming heavy rains.

We saw so many birds - our guide knew exactly where to look, even though we visited in July when activity is lower than usual. Flocks of flamingos coming in to land were an absolute highlight. Excellent day trip from Seville.

We did a 4-day trip around Doñana with Doñana Wings and we are so happy about the whole experience, it really exceeded our expectations! Each day we visited different parts of Doñana, saw beautiful landscapes and each day we were adding more new species to our list. We saw many black kites, the Iberian magpie, the marbled teal, purple moorhen, many warblers, amazing colonies of herons, spoonbills, storks, glossy ibis, flocks of flamingos... We visited the resticted area of the park with a licensed vehicle (driving around the dunes was quite an experience itself) and observed an osprey eating fish right by the ocean, flocks of oystercatchers and sanderlings. We caught a glimpse of the Spanish Imperial Eagle! We were also lucky to spot red deer and wild boar. The list of species is long, but we were also impressed by our guide Vicent’s knowledge not only about local species, but also birds around the world, so he knew what might be most interesting for each of us to see and he knew where to find it. This trip would not have been so enjoyable, hadn’t the company been so pleasant too! Vicent is very kind and patient, always made sure everyone was feeling comfortable and we were also lucky to meet some amazing fellow birders on this trip. We booked a Big Day of birding with Doñana Wings and had an absolutely wonderful day. Vicent arrived on time and from sunrise to sunset took us all over to see as many birds as possible. From eagles to vultures to songbirds, shorebirds and owls, we saw so many birds. We saw many of Spain’s endemic species such as the Spanish Imperial Eagle, the Iberian Grey Shrike, the Little Bustard and the Iberian Green Woodpecker. Vicent took us to a variety of habitats and personalized the trip for us, prioritizing seeing as many birds as possible and minimizing stops. Vicent is extremely knowledgeable about the birds, their habits and habitats. We had a great day out with him and I hope we can go back soon and spend another day birding with him. I give him my highest recommendation as a bird guide.

I joined Donana Wings on two different occasions, once in late February, the second time in early March for their birding tours. Both Vicent and Fernando are extremely knowledgeable guides, very professional, and personable. They know their stuff!!! We did the Northern Donana, Sierra Norte and Iberian Lynx tour with Donana wings. Candela and Vicente were very knowlegdeable and friendly. We saw a lot of different species we would never have found beeing on our own. All in all we had an awesome experience and can't recommend Donana Wings more highly. What is also very nice, is the possibility to borrow binoculars and having a high quality scope provided to see the birds more clearly. The prices are also very fair for what you get. Would give more than 5 Stars if I could. We will definetely visit with them again.

Highly recommended! We spent a wonderful morning being guided around northern Donana. Highlights included marbled teal, black-winged kite, hen harrier, lesser kestrels, night herons and black storks (plus many more). Vicent is a wonderful guide with an amazing knowledge of birds (including their English names) and where to find them. As well as the many interesting birds we saw directly, Vicent's explanations of the history and ecology of Donana really put everything in context so that we understood much more what we were seeing during the rest of our visit.

My wife and I booked a full day birding excursion months in advance with Doñana Wings. While making the arrangements Vicent was always helpful and very responsive. As the day approached the forecast was for very heavy rain. We asked if perhaps we could delay for a couple of days and that was arranged. Even on the new day there was rain but our guide, Candela, planned a route and itinerary that enabled us to see a great many birds from the car during the early part of the day. Throughout, she was engaging and informative about the birds, the Doñana environment and much more. She also made it as easy as possible to actually see the birds. It was a most enjoyable day and highly successful for seeing birds. We would highly recommend Doñana Wings!

Today's half day guided tour to Northern Doñana exceeded my expectations with over 50 species! Vicent is an excellent guide and very knowledge about the region, the birds, and even how they compare to their New World counterparts. I wish I had taken the whole day tour - if you sign up with Vincent, do take the whole day - it's worth it!

Just back from a great birding (and Lynx watching) holiday in Doñana National Park with Doñana Wings. Hopefully this trip will be followed by others since both the place and Doñana Wings deserve more than one visit!

That was AMAZING! Truly. What an incredible day. Getting to spend a day out in nature in Spain with someone as knowledgeable, friendly and enjoyable as our guide was a delight. I'm so thrilled we found Doñana Wings. Just WOW. Two species of storks, eurasian cranes, two species of eagles, herons, egrets, flamingos, spoonbills, hawks, falcons, a shrike, a hoopoe, buzzards, redshanks, greenshanks, avocets, stilts ...plus so many other species. My favorite: a Little Owl (Athene noctua) just as we were leaving Doñana at sunset. What a magical way to end the day.

We had a great time with Donana Wings with whom we spent four days including three days searching for the Iberian Lynx. We saw one lynx and a host of birds. I communicated with Vicent to organise everything and he was always responsive and seeking to accommodate our wishes and needs. On the field, Vicent was a likeable and really knowledgeable guide. This made the experience a lovely one for all of our group which was composed of people with different levels of interests.

As our trip to Spain fell outside any prime season for birds, we were fortunate to have Vicent to guide us and introduce us to a wealth of new species (to North American visitors). Vicent had quality (Zeiss) spotting scope and binocs; he picked us up near our Seville hotel and drove us safely to the Sierra Norte for a great birding outing. The very first stop yielded a special view of an Imperial Eagle. This sighting was followed by several other raptors and Iberian specialties, and our special day ended at dusk with a Little Owl perched on a rock near the road. Vicent is friendly and very knowledgeable. Highly recommended.

Fernando was a great guide that knew every single plant or animal we asked about. Superfun and educational experience as well as we also learned how to identify the different animal tracks for example. We booked the lynx tour and although we were unfortunately unlucky and didn’t see one, we would still highly recommend the experience!

had an amazing birding trip with Vicent Esteller of Donana Wings Birding! We went to seven different locations in Donana National Park and saw 95 species (some species repeated at the different locations). I got 46 Life Birds! Some highlights were the Marbled Teal ducks, a White Headed duck, Ospreys, Black and White Storks, Glossy Ibis, Flamingos, all three Sandpiper species, and many more! My favorite was when a Red Kite soared overhead and I could see the the V in its bright Red Tail. Vicent really liked the “Blue Chickens” (Western Swamphens) as they make him laugh. Vicent was an excellent guide, knowledgeable, very quick eye, really knew his birds. He is also a very nice person, funny, patient and great to spend the day with. He gave me a lot of information on the challenges they are having with the wetlands in Donana and about the projects they have going on to improve the wetlands. My trip with Vicent exceeded my expectations for the day and was a highlight of my trip to Spain! If you are thinking of Birding anywhere in the Seville are, I highly recommend that you contact Vicent.

Yesterday we were trekking through the Donana region in search of the elusive iberian lynx, unfortunately we didn't see one but what an incredible day with guide Vicent. He is a biologist who is an absolute expert in the local area. He showed us so many rare and endangered species & even though the heat hit over 40° it was a great experience. We will certainly be planning further trips with him.

My wife and I booked a day birding trip with Doñana Wings this January, we love birds and nature, and wanted to explore and experience a part of Doñana National Park and it’s bird sanctuary with someone that could not only help us find and identify birds, but also educate us about their health habitat and history of the park. We had a brilliant time on our tour of Sierra Norte. Our tour guide was excellent. He was very knowledgeable and interesting to chat to. He went out of his way to make sure we saw everything there was to offer. He had optics for us to use and being able to see through the scope when you can't bring your own was really good. We saw a lot of key species such as Eagle Owl, Griffon and Cinereous Vultures, Bonelli's, Golden and Spanish Imperial Eagle as well as Iberian Green Woodpecker and Iberian Magpies. It was a fantastic day and I would definitely recommend these tours for both keen and casual birders.

We had a wonderful half day birding experience with Vicente. Our van pick up was on time. We were provided with high quality binoculars and visited 4-5 very productive locations in a variety of habitats. Vicente has extensive experience and clearly enjoys sharing his love of birds with others. What a great experience! We are competent birders, and booked a full day group trip with Doñana Wings so that we could experience the wetlands around the Doñana. We were joined on the day by 2 birdwatchers with considerably more experience than us, and Vicent (with his excellent English) balanced the needs of to the two parties very well. He provided insight and deep knowledge of the birds and their history in the National Park. Vicent's knowledge of where to see what is awesome. We saw 84 species of birds, 16 of which were new to us. A beautiful day and a wonderful guide!

An excellent morning with Vincente in Doñana Natural Park. We took the Linx private tour and it is very recommendable. Vincente obviously knows his stuff and knows the park like the back of his hand. He took us to all the places that the Linx like to do their day to day things. It was wonderful to be in the park when the sun rose and we could enjoy this moment and see the cold morning dew. Brilliant day, Fernando was our guide would recommend thoroughly. Very knowledgable and skillful, amazing at spotting birds and giving us lots of information about what we were seeing / where we were etc. Sadly no lynx but we saw vultures, imperial eagles, little owl, masses of flamingos, marbled duck and so much more- 88 bird species in total!!

I have had many bird guides in several countries and my 3 days with Vicent and Donana Wings is one of the top highlights of many years of birdwatching and photography. Can't recommend Vincente's tour enough. We had an incredible day tailor made to our wish list of birds to see - from little owls at sunrise on some cliffs near farmland, to amazing close up views of vultures soaring over a valley next to a beautiful hilltop church, and flamingos, spoonbills and many more. Vincente is so knowledgeable and takes you to amazing sites with no one else there and spectacular views. My personal favourite moment was seeing bee eaters above a field of sunflowers! The air con in the car was so helpful to cool down between stops to see things in the July heatwave and we saw so many different species from really close to where we parked at each site so a truly accessible tour and good for those who don't do well in the heat. Vincente has amazing English and is a wonderfully safe driver. Whole heartedly recommend and can't wait until we can come back again for another tour.

My wife and I spent a wonderful half day with Vincent, getting an introduction to the ecology geography history and birdlife of the Donana National Park. Its not necessary to be expert birdwatchers to have a superbly enjoyable time learning about the area and its wildlife. Recommended for people who want more a bit more than the typical Donana bus trip, with a guide whose passion for the area and its birdlife is infectious.

I had the pleasure of spending a full day with Vicent birding Southern Donana region last week. He is a very personable and proficient guide with tremendous knowledge of the ecology of Donana national park, and its resident and migratory birds. We saw literally thousands of migrating shorebirds, plus innumerable flamingos as well as a large number of raptors including lots of black and red kites, 2 species of eagles ( booted and Imperial ), and a beautiful Montagu's harrier. We saw most of the birds the area is known for including marbled duck, Squacco heron and of course white-headed duck. Vicent had a high quality scope and guidebook at all times to reinforce what I was seeing. By the end of the day we had tallied 73 species, a very large number of which were lifers for me (full list is on Ebird ). I recommend him very highly and without reservation. I hope to return soon. We recently stayed in Cadiz and were lucky enough to spend the day birdwatching with Vicent on the outskirts of Southern Doñana. With his extensive knowledge of flora and fauna, we were able to see over 60 species. His excellent command of English offset our complete lack of Spanish and he came equipped with several pairs of great Zeiss binoculars and a scope, without which we would have struggled. We had a very pleasant day overall. Thank you!

Además de ser un guía extremadamente amable y que varió el viaje en función de nuestras peticiones, nos enseñó un montón de rincones poco conocidos donde pudimos observar especies muy raras fuera de esas zonas, como la cerceta pardilla, la malvasía o el vencejo moro. Incluso tuvimos suerte de observar dos águilas imperiales en diferentes plumajes. Repetiremos seguro. Una gozada. P.D. We took the Northern Donana Birdwatching day trip with Vincent. He is an absolute expert and shared all his enthusiasm and knowledge. He provided excellent quality binoculars, a species list and an amazing telescope on a tripod. We spotted some 30 different species in one day. We asked for the tour in Spanish and he spoke slowly so we could understand everything, however his English excellent if you want the tour in English. The birds were mostly concentrated by the lakes but he also spotted birds in the open countryside often by their calls or flight. It was a really special day and I would highly recommend this trip.

Doñana tiene muchas especies pero sin la ayuda De Vicent no hubiéramos podido ver muchas de ellas. Él sabe muy bien donde se encuentra cada una y te explica muy bien todo sobre Doñana y sobre sus especies.

Fue una mañana estupenda de pajareo, en la que disfrutamos, además de muchos avistamientos, de una magnífica compañía.

Una experiencia muy recomendable seas o no experto en aves. Hemos podido ver 48 especies de aves y, por supuesto, las rapaces más emblemáticas, además de disfrutar de una jornada muy divertida. Sin duda repetiré.

Vicent ha conseguido hacerme pasar un día maravilloso observando aves en el sur de Doñana, y eso que las condiciones de calor y época no eran nada ideales. Cerramos una lista con 72 especies. Los conocimientos, experiencia e ilusión de este joven profesional se notan desde el primer momento. Y una cosa importante, no mira el reloj. Estuvimos en todos los hábitats todo el tiempo necesario, sin ninguna prisa. La calidad-precio es muy buena. He tenido una experiencia muy recomendable.

Donana is a birding paradise with a huge number of species and great diversity. There can be no better guide to take you around than Vicent from Donana Wings. Vicent loves birds (he has been birding since he was 10!) and knows Donana intimately. With his encyclopaediac knowledge he can identify any species in the park and he knows all the best spots to find even the rarest.

We two avid birders had a great full day at Donana with Vicent of Donana Wings! He’s an excellent guide, and we have had many throughout the world. He found us 70 species, showed deep knowledge of birds, the area, and general biology/ecology. In addition, he ‘s articulate in English, a good driver, and just a pleasure to be with! He has a good scope and provided good binoculars for both of us. We recommend him highly!

Vincent did an excellent job guiding me and my son on a 1 day tour of northern Donana. Before the trip I had expressed interest in the regional specialities, Iberian Gray Shrike, Iberian Magpie, and Spanish Eagle. We saw all of three of these including three different Spanish Eagles! On top of that we had a chance to see the threatened Marbled Teal, and the declining Ferruginous Duck. Other highlights were iconic Flamingos, an unexpected Bluethroat, and Pallid Harrier, a rarity for the region. We came for the birding and Vincent is a top-notch birder. Even after spending a substantial amount of time poring over eBird photos and field guides before the trip, Vincent provided great practical advice on key characters to distinguish closely related species in the field, and which species groups should be treated with caution. Finally, Vincent has great background information about the history of the region and I learned a lot about the ecology of Northern Donana. I have no doubt I'll book a trip with Vincent again the next time I'm in Andalucia!

Vicent took us out on two trips- the first to the mountains where we saw amazing Vultures very close by and secondly to the northern boundary of the donana national park where we must have seen over 70 types of birds including the Spanish Imperial Eagle, Ibis's, Owls, Black Storks and Black Shouldered Kites to name but a few. A real treat though was on the morning of the second day when we saw an Iberian Lynx! The two days with Vicent (a fantastic guide with more knowledge about birds and the best eye for spotting birds than anyone I've ever met) were the highlight of our two weeks in Seville over both Xmas and New Years. I always felt comfortable to ask anything, request a stop anywhere and could tell that Vicent was enjoying the scenery and the birds as much as we were. It was truly a great experience and we are already thinking about when we can return.

The two day-trips we did with Donana Wings were the highlight of our 2 week trip to Seville. On the first day we went to Grazalema & Ronda. Our first stop was Ronda to have a look at the “new” bridge (while already looking out for birds!) and then moved on into the mountains. Vicent clearly knows the area really well and where to find interesting things to see. We visited several sites and saw Griffon Vultures (lots of them!), Blue Rock Thrush, Black Wheatear, Peregrine Falcon and Red-billed Cough (amongst many others) and even some Iberian Ibex. Vicent is incredibly passionate and knowledgeable about birds and has a real talent for spotting them. Give him a black dot 100m away in the sky and he will tell you what it is. We only started bird watching a while ago and thought that two full days might be a bit full-on but that wasn't the case at all. Vicent explained everything at exactly the right level for us and we learned many things about the area in general and it's challenges. In the case of Grazalema we also got to see an amazing landscape and beautiful little white villages along the way which are really picturesque. On the second day we went to Northern Donana and we even said that it would need to be pretty special to beat the first. We started the day early in the morning as Vicent said that would increase our chances of seeing an Iberian Lynx. We arrived at the place where Lynxes are often spotted just after sunrise and while waiting we already saw quite a few interesting birds. There were a handful of other people around who were also there for the Lynxes. When I had already given up on getting to see one of them (after about an hour), someone spotted a Lynx which was sitting amongst some bushes. We were able to get a really good look at it before it disappeared deeper into the bushes a few minutes later. So the day got off to a pretty good start! We then started making our way towards Donana NP, stopping off along the way every time we came across something interesting - which was every 10 meters or so! We saw an incredible amount of different species. I had a list of things in mind that I would quite like to see and we literally saw all of that and more. I really wanted to see some Owls and we got to see three different species! In general the amount of birds of prey in Donana is ridiculous - they are everywhere. My favourite was the black shouldered kite which I had not seen before. Halfway through the day we were joking that now the only thing missing from the list is the Imperial Eagle - and only about 10 minutes later one soared right above us. We even saw a Pallid Harrier, which according to Vicent are very rare visitors to Donana. Other highlights included Black Storks, Glossy Ibis, Spoonbills and Flamingos (amongst many other species!). I'm listing all of this just to provide a bit of an idea what an amazing place this is. We could not recommend a tour with Donana Wings highly enough – especially for visiting Donana NP – you will get to see so much more with Vicent than if you’re going with one of the bigger coach/jeep tours). Overall Northern Donana was amazing but if you have more time than that try one of the other day trips as well. We were really sad when the two days were over and wished that we had booked a third! We had private guides in the past and Vicent definitely stands out amongst them.

An excellent birding experience for birders at all levels of expertise. My wife and I consider ourselves fortunate to have had Vicent Esteller as our guide for the 3-day birding tour in the Doñana and nearby areas. His familiarity with the various habitats enabled him to adapt the itinerary to take the best advantage of weather conditions and migratory patterns to yield an optimum viewing experience and bird count, scoring many life birds for us. We enjoyed the breathtaking views of raptors, including a few Egyptian Vultures, at the Strait of Gibraltar; a multitude of Flamingos, Ibises and other shore birds as they gathered for migration; and several rare birds such as the Little Swift, which resides in Europe in one specific location known to Vicent. We also enjoyed Vincent’s company and friendship, and learned much from his extensive knowledge of birds. We traveled in comfort with the convenience of being picked up at and delivered to our hotel in Sevilla.

My husband and I were recently in Spain for 10 days and had a wonderful time. A highlight of my visit was the 1/2 day birding trip I arranged with Donana Wings. It was fantastic! I am a novice birder (only a couple of years of birdwatching) and we saw 45 species in about 5 hours. My guide, Vicente, was incredibly knowledgable & very professional and personable. I learned a lot form him. I highly recommend this for birders and really anyone who enjoys nature and wants to experience Spain outside of the (wonderful) cities.

Wir waren einen ganzen Tag mit Vicent - Donana Wings - im Naturschutzgebiet unterwegs. Einfach nur super. Er kennt sich bestens aus und kann zu jedem Vogel etwas erzählen. Schon aus weiter Entfernung, sieht und entdeckt er die Tiere, die wir dann mit seinem Equipment- klasse Fernglas und Tele - beobachten konnten. Im Bestimmmungsbuch konnten wir dann die Vögel genauestens studieren. Das ist wirklich Bird-Watching first class. Können wir nur empfehlen.

Vicent is an excellent guide. He found all of the species I was looking for, quickly would set up his spotting scope so I got great looks at secretive warblers and other passerines, knew where all of the wetland birds were, and had info on local plants and culture. It was a wonderful birding trip!

What a great day we had with Vicent! My husband, 18 year old daughter and I are casual birders - we wanted to see some nature in the midst of our city-heavy itinerary. Vicent picked us up around the corner from our airbnb and then we spent the day seeing different environments around and in Donana. We saw about 70 bird species and I'm sure if we had wanted to check more off our list, Vicent would have made that happen. We had an amazing sighting of a Great Bittern in full view - definitely a highlight. And my favorite was the Marbled Duck. Vicent was knowledgable about the bird species we were seeing but also the environment, culture, history, etc. He was kind and very easy to hang out with for the day! Vicent suggested we pack ourselves lunch to maximize our time birding and that worked really well. He had water, coffee, tea and snacks as well. Also, he had good binoculars for all 3 of us and was very quick setting up the scope to get close ups! I highly recommend Donana Wings and Vicent (it was my daughter's favorite day of the whole trip!).

We had a great morning with our guide who not only found great birds for us to view but also was considerate of our travel needs.

On Wednesday May 1 I took a private full day birdwatching with Vicent. He picked me up at my apartment in the centre of Seville. I had no special birds I wanted to see, because I am a rather keen birdwatcher myself en have seen already a lot of Spanish bird species. But Vicent still surprised me. We saw a pair of marbled ducks, red-knobbed coots, hundreds of herons and glossy ibises and an ortolan bunting, a scarce migrant. Also he showed me a nest of a white stork within it breeding Spanish sparrows and underneath a barn owl!

One and a half days of bird watching with Vicent from Donana Wings gave us almost 90 different bird species. Thanks to our excellent guide who took us to locations with a great number of birds and to locations with unique species these tours were extra ordinary. If (or when) we return to Sevilla for bird watching we will definately book Vicent as our guide.

We spent a wonderful day birding Northern Doñana with Vicent. He picked us up at our apartment in Seville and drove us to our first stop, the historic & beautiful town of El Rocío, where we saw the Squacco Heron among myriad other species. Vicent is a knowledgeable and gracious guide and he worked hard to be sure we had good looks at the birds. We had 85 species for the day, including quite a few rarities. I wouldn't hesitate to book Doñana Wings again after this great experience. My non-birding friend had a great time too!

Tour was my best ever days birding. Saw so many first-ever species and often up close and in decent numbers -.short-toed eagles, bee-eaters; flamingos; squaco heron; purple swamphens; glossy ibis; black kites;white storks. Unforgettable and all made simple and very enjoyable by superb guide Vicent . Tour was worth every penny!

Our trip was superb with sightings of 88 species. Vicent was extremely good at explaining where the birds were located. His command of English was excellent. We arranged a full day tour starting in the morning with pick up at our hotel. Vicent had a wonderful agenda set for the day. The tour was well equipped with a spotting scope and extra binoculars. We couldn't have been more pleased!

We spent an excellent day with Vincent enjoying the birds of the Donana. His knowledge of the birds, their calls and their habits was thrilling. We drove around the northern Donana in his comfortable vehicle and saw 68 species of birds and hearing another 12 species. We enjoy birds rather than being 'twitchers' and can fully recommend Vincent's tour. The icing on the cake was a wonderful view of a Spanish Imperial Eagle which landed and was mobbed by a Marsh Harriet. Vincent picked us up close to our hotel and returned us there as well. He even brought hot water for tea or coffee! A great day.

Aunque ya han pasado casi tres meses desde nuestra experiencia con Vicent como guía de naturaleza en Doñana, todavía recuerdo con tremendo placer la jornada que pasamos mirando aves -por la parte norte del parque- en su compañía. Vicent es un acompañante preparadísimo, amable, ameno y respetuoso no solo con el medio ambiente, sino también con los deseos de sus clientes (y su nivel pajarero, sea el que sea). Recuerdo imborrable (entre las muchas empresas avistadas) la cercanía del elanio azul y el halcón peregrino posados sobre cables. Y el juego, como premio final, de al menos dos sisones en un arrozal. Recomiendo fervientemente a cualquiera que quiera pasar un día en la naturaleza mirando aves los servicios de Doñana Wings.

Two whole days with Vicent, he was an excellent guide, extremely knowledgable about the birds and the whole area. He was helpful and patient with two elderly lades and gave us a great time. It would not have been possible to see most of this area without a good guide

Fantastic morning spent touring Northern Donana with Vicent, spotting 50 species before returning for lunch in Seville. Vicent is a passionate and knowledgeable guide and able to pitch himself to die-hard twitchers or amateur nature lovers alike. Scope and good quality binoculars are provided and a thermos of hot coffee and he can pick you up from your hotel in Seville. His English is excellent and he is full of information about the habitat and history of Donana as well as the birds and where to find them. A great day out just 30min from Seville!

Hi, I booked two day trips and it was really great birding. Mr. Vicent Esteller did a really good job to show me all the birds I wanted to see. We have been in the northern donana area and on the second day we had a trip to the landscape surrounding east of sevilla. Vicent Esteller had a great knowlegde about birds and where to find them.
