The location was perfect — close to everything we needed, yet quiet and relaxing. The host was very friendly, helpful, and made sure we had everything for a great stay. Unfortunately, this was by far our worst stay to date. The apartment was not properly cleaned and had a serious cockroach infestation, particularly in the kitchen and washing machine area - so bad that we couldn't use the kitchen at all. When we reached out to the host about it, they tried to downplay the issue and were unhelpful. We asked for a refund due to the health concerns, and shockingly, the host showed up in person and kicked us out within two hours! Their behaviour was extremely unprofessional and aggressive—they shouted at us, called us names, and completely dismissed the video evidence we showed of the infestation, despite seeing cockroaches themselves during the confrontation. The host also insisted we sign an additional off-platform rental contract for our week-long stay, which raised red flags. Beyond that, the apartment itself was disappointing: - The hot water runs out so quickly it's not even enough for one person to shower properly. - The bedroom blind is broken, so you can’t enjoy the ocean view they advertise. - The terrace offers zero privacy—the neighbouring unit is just across a 50cm fence. To make matters worse, in their final message to us, the host insisted to leave a 5-star review - raising serious concerns about the reliability of the positive reviews... Luckily, support intervened and offered us compensation, but we would strongly advise others to stay away from this listing. [EDIT] Let the attached video evidence speak for itself... Stop lying and clean the place instead!

Dear Julia and Adam Pinter Thank you for leaving a review, although we must strongly correct the misleading and false claims made in your comments. You initially reported seeing one cockroach inside the dishwasher, which we responded to promptly by visiting the property ourselves. When we arrived, you were unable to show any evidence of this. We also offered to send professional pest control, even though we already schedule this every three months as part of our standard maintenance—you refused this solution. During our visit, we took photos and videos that were later sent to Airbnb, clearly showing no sign of any pest issue. We are well aware that Tenerife is a tropical island, and like any warm climate, occasional sightings of insects are possible—especially if windows are left open. However, there was no infestation, no ongoing pest issue, and you declined all solutions we offered to ensure your comfort. Despite the lack of proof, we acted in good faith and offered you a refund at your discretion. You responded by demanding €560, which was more than your original booking cost of €546—a clear sign that this was not about resolving an issue, but about getting a free holiday at our expense. You then escalated the situation to Airbnb. After reviewing the case, Airbnb did not agree with your version of events. In fact, Airbnb worked with us to come to an agreement for you to leave the property early, as it was clear the situation was not tenable. That agreement was finalized at 11:00 AM. However, you refused to leave the property until 17:00, making it completely untrue and unfair to claim that you were “thrown out” two hours later. On the contrary, you chose to overstay beyond the agreed time. In regard to the rental agreement: yes, we asked you to sign one. That is not something unusual or personal—it is the law in Spain. We are not casually renting out a tent in a backyard; we are a professional, legally registered holiday rental company, and we are required by law to have a signed rental agreement, register guests, and comply with all local regulations. You willingly signed this contract and by doing so, you were fully aware of the terms, your rights, and your responsibilities. Suggesting otherwise is not only misleading, but disrespectful to those of us in this industry who take legal compliance seriously. During our in-person visit, we also observed and documented your behavior, which included laughing and making disrespectful comments in Hungarian about your “free holiday.” This was not only unprofessional—it confirmed your intentions were not sincere from the beginning. At Aqua Vista Tenerife, we go to great lengths to ensure our guests enjoy a safe, clean, and relaxing holiday. But we will not tolerate dishonesty, manipulation, or attempts at extortion. To anyone reading this: please read through the many positive reviews we’ve received from wonderful guests over the years who have had enjoyable, respectful, and genuine stays with us. We wish you all the best, but we will always stand up against abuse of our hospitality.

Our experience in the "cozy" apartment was very unpleasant and ruined our annual vacation. Unfortunately, we had to deal with cockroaches for 11 days, which made us feel like exterminators instead of vacationers. We wanted to shorten our stay, but the owners refused to compensate us. Additionally, we requested a refund for the unused days, but they declined our request. Since finding a new apartment was beyond our budget, we felt forced to stay there. Furthermore, the apartment did not match the pictures or descriptions provided online. When we checked in, the staff member mentioned that the kitchen was simple and that we should not expect too much, even though the online description promised a fully equipped kitchen. The oven was not working, the water heater was leaking, and several other issues arose during our stay. We feel ripped off and will not return to Tenerife again.

Initially, everything was going smoothly. We booked a house through Airbnb in advance, and upon arrival, we were met by an agent who gave us a tour and explained everything about the property. He also offered to extend our stay directly through their company, rather than through Airbnb, with a 10% discount since they wouldn’t have to pay the Airbnb commission. After some consideration, we decided to take the offer. However, when we called the agency the next day, they quoted a price of 700, even though the price on Booking.com was 530, and on their own website, it was listed as 575. Moreover, the agent said he couldn’t offer the promised discount, as it could jeopardize his job, and that the price was already discounted. Later, he offered 500 euros but under the condition that there would be no cleaning of the house after the Airbnb rental period. Unfortunately, the problems didn’t end there. Our dishwasher and kitchen drain got clogged, and we reported it to the agency via WhatsApp. The agency’s immediate response was to blame us, implying that we didn’t know how to use the dishwasher properly and didn’t scrape food off the plates before loading them. When I explained that we did use it correctly and that water was backing up in the kitchen sink, they suggested using cleaning products available in the house. The only available product was a toilet cleaner, which I pointed out was unsuitable for the situation. They promised to send a plumber on Monday, as it was Sunday at the time, and we agreed to wait. On Monday, we bought drain cleaning products at our own expense and tried to unclog the kitchen drain, but nothing worked. When I informed them and asked about the plumber, I was simply ignored. The problem worsened, and a foul sewage smell began spreading around the house. Despite repeated messages, we were ignored again. It felt like they were treating us like fools. In conclusion, I highly recommend booking accommodations through platforms like Airbnb or Booking.com to ensure the protection and support of the platform. Otherwise, you might face unfair accusations for issues like clogged drains and be blamed for not knowing how to use basic appliances. Also, be prepared for things like two rolls of toilet paper for 10 days for four people, no trash bags, and other small essentials. Towels won’t be changed for the entire 10-day stay either. I should repeat, the house itself and the view from it are excellent.

Отдыхали с мужем и ребенком в сентябре 2023 и остались очень довольны! Всё было как договаривались, очень чистая свежая квартира даже лучше чем ожидали. Есть все необходимое и фен и утюг много кухонной утвари и т д. Хороший отзывчивый администратор быстро помог нам сориентироваться в каком супермаркете лучше закупаться, куда сходить с дитем. Our stay at this Aqua Vista Tenerife was a true delight. The apartment was not only stylish and comfortable but also had a stunning view of the ocean.
