We completed our Open Water Diver course here, and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. Our instructor, Levi, was absolutely fantastic; patient, encouraging, and really attentive to what each of us needed. There was no rush at all; we had plenty of time to practice and build confidence under his calm guidance. What we really appreciated was that everything was done in small groups, so there was lots of personal attention and a relaxed atmosphere. It never felt like mass tourism – just a genuine, high-quality learning experience. The location is perfect – you start diving right in the sea, surrounded by vibrant marine life. We saw countless colorful fish, some curious octopuses, and many other beautiful creatures. It’s the perfect reminder of why diving is such a magical and unforgettable experience. The whole team at the dive center was super friendly and welcoming, which made the atmosphere even better. We’re already looking forward to coming back for more dives.

Lo primero agradecer a Mickael su profesionalidad, amabilidad, te transmite una tranquilidad que necesitas al ser la primera vez, conseguí quitar el miedo gracias a él , la zona de bautismo muy tranquila y bonita , vimos peces de colorines, la pena que no caí en que podía marearme, y cuando ya llevaba gran parte hecha me mareé muchísimo, y tuvo que sacarme, tomad biodramina si os mareais en transporte, pensaba q no me pasaría.. pero a pesar de todo estoy segura q será genial terminar toda la actividad, para iniciarse...otra crítica constructiva mandad correo en Castellano tb ,al ser inglés no leímos ( responsabilidad nuestra) y tuvimos q irnos a hacer reconocimiento médico al ser fumador mi pareja y mayor de 50 lo q conlleva más dinero y tiempo perdido. I recently had the chance to join Tenerife Diving Academy, and I can honestly say it was an unforgettable experience. The center is now run by Csaba and Levi, who bring incredible professionalism, knowledge, and warmth to the place. Originally, I wanted to do a 6-week Divemaster internship, but I only had two weeks available. Still, the team found a fantastic solution for me. I was able to join all the dives during my stay and even earned my SSI Deep and Navigation certifications. In just two weeks, I logged more than 20 dives and significantly improved both my skills and knowledge. Csaba’s expertise is outstanding - he holds the highest possible SSI qualification, and his professionalism is truly impressive. At the same time, the entire team created such a welcoming and friendly atmosphere that it quickly felt like being part of a family. Another highlight was the way every single dive was conducted: with the utmost focus on safety and professionalism. I also had the chance to witness the magic of the Abades reefs almost every day - stunning marine life, from huge rays and large schools of fish to graceful turtles. I can highly recommend Tenerife Diving Academy to anyone who wants to take their diving to the next level or simply enjoy incredible dives in a supportive and family like environment. This place is simply exceptional!

Super expérience ! J’ai pu passer mon niveau 1 très rapidement, je me suis toujours sentie en sécurité et cela avec beaucoup de pédagogie. Nous avons fait plusieurs plongées et même une de nuit, nous avons pu voir des poulpes, crabes, lièvre de mer, raies, tortues, requin ange… Tout était parfait et nous recommandons les yeux fermés, merci beaucoup !

Absolutely love the Tenerife Dive Academy. We walked in to ask some questions about learning to scuba dive and were so impressed the we came back a few months later for our open water certification and then a bunch of fun dives. We always felt respected and safe while learning both in the classroom and in open water. Tenerife Dive Academy is located in Abades pretty much on the water. The instructors are very knowledgeable, diligent and kept us safe while we performed all the exercises needed for certification. They not only taught us the skills, but how to breathe effectively and efficiently to manage buoyancy and conserve air. We feel blessed to have them as our underwater teachers.

The whole experience from entering the building to heading into and out the sea was absolutely incredible! Levi and the team were friendly, attentive and extremely knowledgeable, we felt safe at all times as well as confident as were given great insight into the activities. This is a genuine place where people working there are passionate about diving and getting more people interested in this experience!

I spent 3 weeks doing my divemaster internship with Csaba and Levente. I can highly recommend it to others, especially if you like that there is room for some one to one training. I came with no experience in navigation, but ended up feeling good about guiding with a compass. The two instructors is both very honest with you, sometimes also a bit brutally honest, but that also makes it much more satisfying when they give you credit for something you did good, because you will know for sure that you did it very well. They kinda insist on it being perfect, because it is other peoples safety we have to do with, so they make sure you feel confident. When you get to know them a little more, you will see that they are also very fun to be around, and would visit the café with the team sometimes.witch has been nice. Hope to see them both again another time. I should maybe have planned a longer stay, but its definitely doable in 3 weeks. The divesite is also very enjoyable to dive, I saw turtle on most of my dives, and stingrays, octopus, lots of cute juvenile fish. - Cecilie

Ich habe hier im August 2025 meinen Open Water Diver gemacht und habe diese Erfahrung sehr genossen. Super kompetente und nette Tauchlehrer (Levi,Csaba,Michael), die auf alle Fragen und Wünsche eingehen und das Wissen und die Skills die benötigt werden sehr gut weitervermitteln. (gute Kommunikation auf Englisch) Außerdem waren die Divemaster Studenten sehr nett, hilfreich und geduldid und eine super Unterstützung bei meinen ersten Tauchgängen. Sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Während der Open Water Diver Ausbildung (400€) waren wir an 4 Tagen insgesamt 8mal tauchen (jeweils ungefähr 1h). Hier hinzu kamen natürlich noch ein paar Theorie Stunden und Besprechungen. Bei unseren Tauchgängen konnten wir viele unterschiedliche Tiere beobachten (Schildkröten, Rochen, Muränen, Oktopusse und viele Fischarten). Zusammenfassend lässt sich sagen, dass ich diese Tauchschule aufgrund der hervorragenden Betreuung und Ausbildung nur weiterempfehlen kann und jedem rate einmal vorbeizuschauen.

Desde el primer momento, me sorprendieron gratamente por su amabilidad, profesionalismo y dedicación absoluta. Cada detalle está cuidado al máximo, y siempre transmiten una sensación de seguridad que te permite disfrutar plenamente de cada inmersión. Durante el curso, tuvimos múltiples inmersiones donde no solo reforzaron mis habilidades, sino que también me ayudaron a perfeccionarlas con paciencia y atención personalizada. Además, me invitaron a participar en algunas inmersiones inolvidables fuera del curso, como los buceos profundos en Tabaiba, donde exploramos el Peñón, un barco hundido impresionante, y Las Eras, donde atravesamos un arco de piedra a 30 metros de profundidad. Simplemente espectacular. Las inmersiones nocturnas en Abades también fueron mágicas: la bioluminiscencia fue la gran protagonista y creó un ambiente difícil de describir con palabras. Un auténtico espectáculo natural bajo el agua. En definitiva, Tenerife Diving Academy no es solo un centro de buceo, es un lugar donde te sientes parte de una familia apasionada por el mar, que pone el alma en todo lo que hace. What an amazing snorkeling experience with Csaba! We were lucky with the conditions and spotted a friendly sea turtle, barracudas, rays, parrotfish, and countless schools of shimmering silver fish. Truly mesmerizing! Csaba was really attentive and even took the time to teach me some basic freediving techniques. Highly recommended!

Absolutely worth it. I came here to do 3 dives with my partner right after we finished the open water at a different shop. Being beginners we were both nervous, but Csaba and Levi made as feel super safe and comfortable. In each dive we were also joined by one of their specialization students who were also super kind. The dive site itself is incredible over the three dives we saw turtles, cuddle fish, and an octopus. Highly recommend this shop and diving site if you’re in Tenerife

I tried diving here for the first time ever, and it was an amazing experience! I even went back a few days later to do it all a second time because I had so much fun. Even without any prior knowledge, I could follow the instructions well and felt very secure the whole time. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming, and they even took some amazing underwater photos and videos! If I'm ever on Tenerife again, I will surely be back and dive here a third time :)

We did a half-day Basic Dive and loved every minute of it! Both instructors were incredibly patient, professional, and fun, making us feel safe and relaxed throughout. It was a small, personal experience—just the two of us, no big groups. The best price for value on Tenerife. We saw rays, colorful fish, snails, squid, and even a small angel shark—absolutely unforgettable!

Wat een top lokatie om hier te duiken en te snorkelen. Ik heb ik een proefduik gemaakt. Ik kreeg van Kelsey 1op 1 uitleg na eerst de uitrusting bij elkaar gezocht te hebben. Op het droge werden eerst de oefeningen uitgelegd die we daarna in het water zouden gaan doen. Toen het water in en na even wennen de oefeningen gedaan. Hierna gingen we naar het rif en konden een heleboel vissen bekijken. Adembenemend. Gister samen met mijn zoon een guided snorkeltocht gedaan. Ook dat was erg leuk. De mensen van deze duikschool zijn heel aardig. We hebben nieuwe vrienden gemaakt. Nogmaals bedankt allemaal

A Life-Changing Experience: The Divemaster Program at Tenerife Diving Academy After spending countless hours researching Divemaster programs around the world, I’m thrilled beyond words that I chose Tenerife Diving Academy in the beautiful Canary Islands. Simply put, this was one of the most fulfilling, challenging, and unforgettable experiences of my life. From the moment I arrived, the team — led by the incredible Csaba and Levente — made me feel not just welcome, but genuinely seen and supported. The location alone is a dream: the Academy is set right on the beach at stunning Abades Bay, where clear waters and thriving marine life offer the perfect backdrop for daily diving. I grew up just blocks from the ocean — surfing, swimming, snorkeling, fishing — basically living in it. Then life took me to NYC, where I always dreamed of becoming a diver but never had the time. Now, approaching 60, I decided to go all in and commit to the six-week Divemaster Internship. It was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Let me be clear: I underestimated the skill, dedication, and hard work this would take. But that’s what made it so rewarding. The program is serious, structured, and deeply professional — yet delivered with an extraordinary level of patience, kindness, and good humor. I know showing up as a slightly loud New Yorker may have been a surprise to the crew, but they embraced me fully and helped me every step of the way. Special shoutouts to Kelsey (Divemaster), and fellow students Chris and Jack — you were truly the dream team. Everyone brought heart, support, and a great sense of camaraderie to each dive and debrief. The curriculum was incredible — from Deep Diving, Stress and Rescue, and Night Diving to the detailed attention given to safety, equipment, and marine conservation. Every dive pushed me in new ways and brought me closer to the ocean I’ve always loved. At my age, there are things you think you can still do, but your body doesn’t always cooperate. That’s where Tenerife Diving Academy shines — they never once made me feel anything less than capable. Their support gave me the confidence to push through the hard days and come out stronger on the other side. And what a finale! My last dive was a magical one-hour night dive, with rays, eels, turtles, angel sharks, and more making appearances — like the ocean itself was throwing a farewell party. I couldn’t have asked for a better ending to this remarkable chapter. To anyone considering this program — whether you're young and looking to launch a dive career, or someone like me who’s finally chasing a lifelong dream — do it. This isn’t just a course. Ho partecipato ad un'escursione di snorkeling guidata nella baia prospicente alla struttura: la guida era simpatica e parlava un ottimo inglese, ed il sito di snorkeling anche se da fuori non si direbbe è veramente affascinante. Abbiamo potuto osservare tantissima fauna marina (da una piccola seppia sino alle tartarughe marine) e la guida si è impegnata per rendere l'escursione la più variegata possibile. Il prezzo praticato secondo me è adeguato e la struttura veramente vicina all'accesso all'acqua: una bella scoperta.

I just finished my Open Water course at Tenerife Dive Academy and it was awesome. Instructor: Csaba is the real deal. Super patient, and always ready to explain things one more time if you need it. He made the whole course feel relaxed and safe. Schedule & gear: Four days, everything flexible around the weather and how we felt. The gear was clean and in great shape. Dive site – Abades: Warm, clear water and loads of life—octopus, rays, bright-coloured fish everywhere. Perfect place to learn. If you want a chill, well-run course with an instructor who genuinely cares, ask for Csaba. I’m already planning to come back for my Advanced.

These guys are fantastic. Super patient, helpful and accommodating in a way you rarely get with dive centres. Highly recommend.

Ich habe dort 3 Wochen verbracht und einen Divemaster Kurs gemacht. Davor war ich bereits rescue Diver. In diesen 3 Wochen habe ich 31 Tauchgänge gemacht wovon 5 Nachttauchgänge waren und 5 an einem anderen Ort also nicht in der Bucht direkt nebenan. Ich habe Schildkröten, verschiedene Rochenarten, Engelhaie und vieles mehr unterwasser gesehen. Mir hat die Zeit dort wirklich sehr gefallen, Csaba und Levi sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Die Stimmung in der Tauchbasis ist sehr locker und angenehm, wir waren auch öfters abends zusammen was essen oder trinken. Die Unterkunft in der ich war heißt Casa Barbades (3er Zimmer) und ist nur ein paar Minuten zu Fuß von der Tauchschule entfernt. Lasst euch nicht von den schlechten Bewertungen irritieren, diese sind mutmaßlich alle von derselben Person die den Divemasterkurs nicht bestanden hat da sie z.B. nicht schwimmen konnte. Das Divemaster-Programm ist wirklich nur zu empfehlen! Ich hatte eine super Zeit und habe viel dazugelernt.

I have been with Csaba and Levi for over 2 months, and my time has been nothing short of incredible. They allowed me to do a school internship with them and have been super welcoming and transparent from the start. They are not only super sweet to every customer but also to everyone in their surroundings and would do everything to make it the best experience. 2 very hard-working instructors who set aside a lot of their own time to help everyone in their way. They have a lot of knowledge about diving and know the sites very well. The diving is varied and fun! There is a lot of room for jokes and small talk during the day and courses. Grabbing a coffee or joining them for dinner is no problem. Abades Bay itself is a wonderful location with a lot of marine life, including turtles, rays, octopuses, angel sharks, barracudas and lots of juvenile fish.

Did my zero to hero with them! 100% recommended! These guys have everything figured out: from teaching, to accommodation, to friendly vibes! Plus Abades is such a unique little town, and public transportation around the island is superb! 👌🏼

I want to share my experience with Tenerife Diving Academy to help others make an informed decision about enrolling in their Divemaster course. While experiences may vary, I personally encountered several issues that I believe are important for potential students to consider. ❌ Training Program Did Not Meet Expectations The dive center promotes a comprehensive training program, but my experience was quite different: • Over four weeks, most of our dives were limited to a single 10m shore dive site, with only two days at a different location. • There were no boat dives, which was unexpected for a professional-level certification. • The limited variety of dive sites and training conditions did not provide sufficient real-world diving experience. ❌ Lack of Transparency in Evaluation I enrolled in the Divemaster course from January 7 to January 31, paying €1600 for training. However, at the end of the course, I was informed that I had not met the requirements in several areas, including Diving Guide, Briefing, Open Water Skills, and Water Fitness Skills. What concerned me most was the lack of clear communication regarding evaluations and training progress: • I received minimal feedback throughout the course, with only one proper training session over the entire month. • When I requested written records of my training and evaluations, I was told they were unavailable. • In professional dive training, students should be able to review and sign off on their training records, but this was not provided. ❌ Refund Request Denied Due to the lack of comprehensive training and documentation, I requested a refund. However, my request was denied, which I found disappointing given the discrepancies between the advertised program and my actual experience. ❌ Students Expected to Perform Non-Training Tasks During my time at the academy, I noticed that students were expected to assist with tasks typically handled by staff, such as: • Cleaning floors • Carrying heavy scuba tanks • Refilling water tanks for equipment cleaning While assisting with daily operations is sometimes part of dive training, the workload here felt excessive and unrelated to skill development. It was also implied that participation in these tasks was necessary for successful course completion, which made me uncomfortable. ⚠ Final Thoughts Based on my experience, I would advise potential students to research the training structure and expectations thoroughly before enrolling. While some may find this dive center suitable, I personally did not receive the level of training or support I expected for a professional certification. If you are considering an SSI Divemaster certification, I recommend exploring other dive centers to ensure you find one that aligns with your expectations for quality training and professionalism. I hope this review helps others make an informed decision.

An Unforgettable Experience Thanks to Csaba and Levi I went on vacation to the Canary Islands after two years without diving. Even though their school hadn’t officially opened yet, they welcomed me with open arms and even invited me to dive with them. They helped me refresh the basics during the first few minutes. The waters where we dived are generally calm, with a maximum depth of 10-12 meters, and the marine life is truly impressive. I was lucky enough to see a sea turtle and several stingrays. They also told me about the possibility of night diving, and despite my schedule not fully matching theirs, they made it work so I could experience it. Before each dive, they carefully analyze the currents using an app, which provides a great sense of safety. It’s clear that they know exactly what they’re doing. Due to the waves, they even drove me in their truck to the nearby town, Punta de Abona, for the dive. Night diving was even more special—I got to see angel sharks, larger stingrays, scorpionfish, and many other species that don’t usually appear during the day. Without a doubt, an incredible experience that I would repeat in a heartbeat. Thank you so much!

Just finish a fantastic week of diving with the team. They are doing everything to ensure you have a wonderful experience, either in the Abades bay which is 200 meters away from the dive centre or at many other close dive locations on the island. Highly recommended for both experienced divers that want the services of a professional dive centre or for future divers wanting to be certified or do a try dive. Highlights were seeing the turtles in the bay, sting rays, the elusive angel shark and the Taibaba wreck.

We had an absolutely amazing experience with the Tenerife Diving Academy! It was our first time diving as a family, and the team made it unforgettable. Our kids were diving for the first time, and the instructors were incredibly reassuring, patient, and thorough in their explanations. They took the time to answer all our questions and ensured we felt completely comfortable before getting in the water. During the dive, they constantly checked on everyone, making sure we were all safe and enjoying the experience. We saw so many different species and were so impressed that we came back the next day for another dive! Highly professional, friendly, and passionate team—perfect for beginners and experienced divers alike. We can’t recommend them enough!

Had a fantastic experience at this diving center! The shore dive site, located right in front of the center has stunning reefs, there were schools of barracuda, and a cave filled with trumpet fish, an absolutely spectacular sight, the highlight of my dive there. The instructors were very friendly, patient, attentive, professional, and accommodating. The atmosphere pretty relaxed, much more so than at the busy, more touristy dive centers elsewhere on the island. Highly recommended, also if you’re looking for a trial dive.

I was fortunate enough to be able to attend a divemaster program at this location and it was an incredible experience!! When I came to Tenerife I was a certified rescue diver and over the course of 3 weeks I was able to participate in 27 dives and practice the skills I needed in order to take the next step and learn how to lead dives of my own. Csaba and Levi are incredible instructors and were extremely accommodating to whatever their students needed in order to succeed in the program. The dive sites were beautiful and everyone involved helped make this an enjoyable and rewarding experience, cant recommend this dive center enough!!

I had a terrible experience at this diving center, and I strongly advise divers to stay away from this place. The way they operate feels completely dishonest and unfair, prioritizing profit over student experience and ethical business practices. Before arriving, I was told via email that a diving knife would cost €19, but when I got there, they charged me €29 instead. When I questioned the price difference, they refused to acknowledge their previous quote. Even worse, despite having a valid diving insurance policy, they insisted it was not acceptable and tried to force me into purchasing their €60/year insurance. When I questioned this, they threatened to cancel my dives and withhold my certification unless I complied with their demands. Since I had already paid for my certification in advance, I was essentially forced to accept their unfair conditions. When I refused to pay these unreasonable extra fees, they refused to complete my training and denied me my certification, keeping my money with no refund. This dive center operates like a scam, using pressure tactics to extract more money from students. If you care about transparency, professionalism, and fair business practices, avoid this place at all costs. There are plenty of honest dive centers that won’t try to exploit you

I had a very disappointing experience at this dive center. The way they operate raises serious concerns about transparency and professionalism. Throughout the course, I was repeatedly pressured to do tasks like cleaning the shop and mopping the floor, with strong implications that my certification depended on it. Additionally, there was persistent encouragement to purchase equipment from their store, which made the experience feel more like a business transaction than proper training. Even more troubling was the inconsistency in how my progress was recorded. At first, I received an email confirming which parts of the course I had completed. Later, I was suddenly told that I had only finished the online learning. This lack of clear standards and shifting explanations made the entire process feel unreliable. I strongly recommend choosing a dive center that values professionalism, fair treatment, and transparent policies. My experience here made me feel more like a source of revenue than a student receiving proper training.

Expérience mitigée lors de ma formation de plongée** **1/ Logement** Le logement nécessiterait un entretien plus régulier. J'ai dû procéder à un nettoyage approfondi à mon arrivée. Certains équipements (lave-linge, douche) étaient en mauvais état. La gestion des espaces communs (cuisine, frigo avec produits périmés) et la cohabitation entre résidents pourraient être mieux organisées par l'établissement. **2/ Centre de plongée** L'accès à la mer (350 m) implique une marche exigeante en combinaison, avec un dénivelé accidenté. Les sols mouillés du centre présentent un risque de glissade. Les conditions de mise à l'eau (rochers, courant) demandent une vigilance accrue, ce qui peut être éprouvant sur plusieurs plongées quotidiennes. **3/ Formation SSI** Bien que le centre était répertorié PADI, la formation proposée était SSI sans clarification préalable. Le rythme des exercices (principalement en eau peu profonde) et l'organisation des tests m'ont semblé déséquilibrés sur 3 semaines. La communication avec certains moniteurs en milieu naturel (bruit des vagues, consignes orales) comme au centre s'est avérée difficile à plusieurs reprises. **En résumé** En tant que plongeur expérimenté, j'ai été surpris par l'écart entre mes attentes (basées sur 25 ans de pratique internationale) et cette expérience. I attended a course at this dive center, but my experience did not fully meet my expectations. While they advertise a comprehensive diving program, most of the dives were conducted at a single 10m dive site. Over the course of four weeks, we only visited a different dive site on two occasions, and the rest of the dives were at the same shallow location. There were also no boat dives included in the program, only shore dives. I had anticipated more variety and diverse diving environments, especially for a professional certification course. If you’re looking to gain broader diving experience in different settings, I would recommend researching other dive centers that might better align with your expectations.

⚠ Important Information for Non-Native English Speakers If English is not your first language, I recommend considering carefully before choosing this diving center. My English isn’t perfect, but I can generally understand instructions and communicate effectively. However, when I occasionally needed something repeated or clarified, I felt that the instructor was not very patient with my language difficulties. During the course, the instructor mentioned several times that better English skills would be necessary for participating in an English-speaking dive center. I felt that this created challenges for me as a non-native English speaker. In the end, my language skills were one of the factors that influenced the outcome of my certification process, even though I had completed the required dives. What surprised me most was that this experience didn’t fully match what was described on their website. They advertise welcoming students from all over the world, but in my experience, communication challenges were not handled as supportively as I had hoped. If your English isn’t at a native-speaker level, I would recommend exploring other dive centers that offer more language support. I believe patience and clear communication are important when learning to dive, especially at an international academy.

This is a fantastic dive center in a beautiful location. Despite being new instructors, the dive instructors are very accomidating and willing to take the time with all students to ensure they are safe, confident, and most importantly, having fun. As a new diver, I wouldn't recommend any other diving academy due to the friends I've made, the creatures I've seen (Octopi, Angel sharks, Green Sea Turtles, ect.), and confidence I've gained in my diving. This is a once in life time opportunity, and I would recommend this academy to anyone at any level!!!

If you’re looking for a respectful and supportive dive center, stay away from this place. Some customers are openly disrespectful and aggressive, and the instructors do nothing to stop the bullying. If you are not their “favorite” student, be prepared to be treated unfairly. They threaten to withhold training and make you feel unwelcome if you don’t comply with their unreasonable demands. New owners, Csaba and Levi, took us on a dive the first day they opened the center. It was super nice to get to know them and were super pleasant to be around. We did our first night dive with them. They were very professional, explained everything patiently, and we even managed to see a turtle in the reef. They also showed us bioluminescence in the water. Can only recommend going on dives with them. Disregard all the previous reviews before 1st of January, 2025.

In April 2024, I’ve passed my refresh course with Csaba & Levente in the 33m deep pool in Brussels, a few months before they decided to take over this dive center. I couldn’t have been more lucky to be lead so kindly and professionally by them. Even when I thought I had some post dive issues, Csaba calmly and precisely explained and guided me through the procedure. His knowledge and pedagogy is very impressive. Soon after, he also made me pass my Nitrox level with no sweet, right in time for my dive trip to Cozumel in Mexico. I’m so happy for them about this new adventure in Tenerife. I hope I‘ll be able to visit soon and see how it is going underwater around this supposedly beautiful island! ¡Disfrute bien!

Absolutely fantastic! I have always wanted to learn to dive and I am so happy I did it with Csaba and Levi. I first signed up for my Open Water Diver course only, but ended up doing everything all the way to Rescue diver with them because it was so much fun! They are attentive, patient and professional, their attitude made the whole experience one of the best things I have done in my life! I cannot recommend them enough!

Csaba is a great instructor! My Advanced Open Water Diver course was fun and I improved a lot. Night diving was so unique! I had such a blast that I continued my training with him and did my deep diver and rescue diver courses with him as well. I did my DiveMaster Certification and what a horrible experience it was. It is a factory. They only want your money, they do not care about giving the right experience to be a proper DiveMaster, they keep you in Abades Bay for the WHOLE course, the staff accommodation was a dump and Pete, the owner, was not pleasant to be around. I definitely do not recommend this school. My friends and I during our time there whilst doing our DiveMaster Course went to plenty of other dive shops/schools and we had such a pleasant experience with them.

We had a fantastic experience diving with Sara, she is very professional and helpful. The first try dive was so special so we booked for another 2 dives the following day, and so glad we did as we got to see a shark !!! Yes a real life shark, it is one of the best memories i have of Tenerife. Amazing, fantastic and cant wait to try again.

We had a brilliant three days diving in October. We completed had 6 dives. All of the team were really professional and knowledgeable and were extremely kind and patient. Kit was all in excellent condition and we definitely hope to come back. Would recommend to all divers, whatever level of experience.

The WORST diving school I have ever seen. I did my instructor course there and I experienced a complete lack of professionalism and a lot of power abuses. Zero attention to the students, it's just a money machine. They only care about you spending money with them and hope you never have a problem because be sure that thay will never raise a finger to help you. I learnt nothing from them, and they still owe me a lot of money. They shouldn't be allowed to teach. Ever again.

I am very happy to have spent my IDC in TDA. The school is very well equipped and Pete and Alice are very goal focused, making the learning experience extremely efficient in the most practical way for the future. My wife Sara and me got a position together to go in February to Oman as we are very interested in the Arab culture. So we have exactly what we were looking for. Just had time for a cheeky 2 day diving session, which was made all the better with the amazing weather. Visibility is out of this world and the divemaster’s very helpful and knowledgeable. Tenerife is a great place to start diving. We had a shore dive try dive and it was very easy and stress free. Tried a few dives from boats and never really enjoyed the experience, but from the shore seemed much more controlled and safe for a new diver like me. So convinced I am now signing up for the padi open water diver course at the academy in Tenerife, so see you early next year!!!

Great fun from start to finish. Safety brief was among the best we had heard, kit is immaculate and dive centre itself very impressive. On the dives we saw many many fish including turtles and rays. Looking forward to returning back to Tenerife and diving so more.

Dived many places and the Diving Academy is among my top 5 dive centers in the world. Dive kit is exemplary and facilities were very good. Staff very friendly and helpful. If I could suggest an improvement it would be to open on Saturdays, which would have been better for me, other than that amazing , thank you.

Life changing experience! Super professional academy with great people. I learnt diving with them and it has been great to slowly develop my underwater skills every time I come back. You learn in a very interactive way without even noticing it. I would completely recommend this academy not only the get your basic certificate but also if you want to get into professional diving. Last, but not least, Kim, Pete, Oli and Jess are great advocates not only of the underwater environment but also on the surface.

I completed the Divemaster internship here, and honestly, it was an excellent choice. Fast and informative communication before arriving on what I needed, excellent tuition and I feel like I was transformed into the PADI professional the ocean needs. The location of the centre is perfect (and dive shops around the island travel to Abades to dive, TDA has it at its door step). Yes, the shop and internship is run a little OCD in terms of doing everything a specific way, but this is what is needed! they ensure that the pre and post dive procedure is drilled into you to make you a better diver! My BCD is always hung up properly with the bladder drained, dust caps on, clips fastened, equipment stored properly. And I enforce this procedure in my workplace, prolonging the life of the gear and making my job of maintaining it minimised. But in diving, it's giving you the mentality to dot every 'i' and cross every 'T', to pay attention to every small detail, so when you go on that more risky dive, you know that you can trust your gear and have a safe trip to the magical world of the ocean! So yeah, all I can say is these guys know what they are doing, they are making good Divers, listen to them, you will learn a lot! I would recommend this place for the professional training for sure!

An amazing 6 weeks making new friends and learning new skills. The staff at TDA are so helpful always willing to help you refine your skills and show you how everything is done properly. With the amazing opportunity to dive in a marine protected area where we often spotted rays. I will hopefully be returning soon

This is how a holiday excursion should be. Picked up from hotel(on time) Paperwork actually completed (most places dont bother), A thorough diving brief (most places dont bother), diving equipment new (literally took the plastic off my LPI), a relaxed and enjoyable dive (most places in such a hurry), the guide took all the kit and cleaned it (usually do it ourselves), logged our dive with all of the details without asking (normally its a fight to get the info). Hugely enjoyable experience from start to finish. 100% recommended.

It's not a joke that this place is a 5* diving center. My experience here was quite unique and remarkable. I've spent 6 weeks and went from non qualified - Divemaster and in those weeks I saw myself growing both in skills and confidence. For those who want to read more details I'll write down here some IMPORTANT facts that come truly from me. You get to dive most of the time in Abades bay and the bay itself is quite beautiful and charming but when I hit 40+ dives I started to get bored of the bay and I wanted to have a bit more challenging environments. I started to explore the bay on both sides East and West and I found that the bay is surprisingly more beautiful than I ever thought. The whole picture of the bay changed completely and especially when we ended our 6 weeks of training with one of the best dives of my life. The staff working at TDA are conservative and that's not for no reason! If you wanna learn something new and want to become a professional you SHOULD learn it in the most conservative way possible so that you know what's RIGHT and what's WRONG. I personally like it that way and I strongly suggest to everyone to have it that way. Especially after comparing these techniques with other people's stories of completely careless instructors which perceive Recreational diving = just FUN. Yes it is fun but if one is not conservative enough and precautious it can suddenly become deadly. Beforehand, I planned this to be my vacation and in my thoughts went diving + sunbath, the perfect match for my summer. Although I literally did that + some more but it was not as "chill" as I thought when I planned it. To get the Divemaster qualifications requires dedication and hard work and for that I'm happy because it pays off just when you hit 60+ dives. I felt a real divemaster not because of the accreditation card but because of the hard work I'd put behind to give me this confidence. The whole group was lovely 😍 and I miss those nights full of diving stories and jokes. I would DEFINITELY suggest this place to people who are newbies, hard working, want to work in the industry and have really good vibes! 🤙🤙

I would highly recommend Dive and Sea Tenerife. I booked a PADI Discover Scuba Diving course for my husband and teenage kids. They loved it so much they wanted to go back for another fun dive. The team were professional throughout and very encouraging to my kids who are interest in Open Water diving. All in a great experience, thanks for the experience!

Most important: amazing team. Everything below is my personal opinion, based on my own experiences I started as a non certified diver, and in six weeks I became a Divemaster. It is rough at the beginning for those who plan the six weeks as a relaxing holiday and an additional training. But if you think of the six weeks as the beginning of your professional career, with an added opportunity to see the island on your days off then you are going to love it. At the end I can say having the deadlines and a slight pressure helped me to do more in such a short period. Abades Bay is the main dive site for the whole training, and for the six weeks it might seem boring, but trust me, there are plenty of different areas to visit. (the sea grass area was my least favourite spot because there isn't much to see. And then around week 4 we have seen a turtle eating the grass.) Trumpetfish cave is amazing, best to visit before noon if you ask me. Around the anchor you will most probably see the resident Triggerfish family. And if you get close enough the biggest one will get really close to you. I personally could do six weeks in the same bay again without getting bored. Another Dive site I had a chance to see was Tebaiba where we did a deep dive, in crystal clear water, at a wreck. Tons of fish around the wreck, snorklers and freedivers on the surface (or close to the surface). Looks like all the cars in tebaiba belong to divers. I have not been trained anywhere else, but I think every single thing PADI came up with, to keep divers safe is followed here. Leaving with these standards in my pocket I feel safe and confident to go on dives with less experienced divers knowing that I have the knowledge and training to deal with emergencies from the most common ones to the unlikely happening ones. After all diving is only dangerous if you go beyond your training and/or you don't follow the standards. If you are planning to purchase equipment in the shop but you are not quiet sure about the differences they will tell you everything you need to know in order to decide. (Some of the gear we bought here got damaged, and we didn't have to do much to get a replacement, unlike some other brands I heard of, scubapro tries to keep customers happy). I'm pretty sure I'll do my IDC here. Alice, Jess, Cydney, Pete, Oli, Rich, Thank you all for the six weeks I had! I'm pretty proud of my results [ ;D ] but you all did something that helped me to get here!

Absolute professionalism from everyone in the dive shop! They are a well oiled machine and make sure your diving experience is perfect. We joined them for two days of dives while on our honeymoon. They shared their passion for what they love to do and brought us to some really neat spots. We hope to come back some day!

For those who have never tried diving you simply must. This was the best experience of a lifetime!

First class dive centre and diving. A very impressive set up, within a few hundred meters of a bay which is ideal for most divers. It is really popular place to dive as on the day we were there I must have seen more than 30 divers getting in and out ! Also the prices are very reasonable just 70 euro for 2 dives, try getting that in the Dominican !

I was impressed with everything. The Dive Master was extremely competent and professional. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I cannot imagine a better place to learn, have fun diving and to meet lovely people.

Had an awesome time diving, super helpful instructors and amazing dive locations. Would love to stick around for longer if I could.

I would recommend the Team to anyone who is looking to dive in Tenerife. I had such an amazing experience with these guys. The service and care that they provide is over the top. From the beginning of asking questions via email, which are responded to lightning fast, to when you arrive and they actually carry your diving equipment for you, if you want!

Fab dives and so much to see. Also we saw the turtles and they were super friendly. The thing we will remember most is the amount of fish in the ocean there!! Best first diving experience ever.

Before I give my opinion on the place, I will mention that I am expecting the owner to respond with a rude and personal response, like he has to previous reviewers. This is one reason why some of the other customers were / are too scared to leave a review. I joined the Pre IDC program and I quit before the IDC started, forfeiting my money as it was preferably than staying there. I am fortunate enough to be in a financial position to be able to do that, however many people stayed as they have no other options or because it’s the cheapest option for them. • There was a young student who has joined to do his Advanced Course, Rescue and Divemaster. He was there for a total 5 weeks. As an open water student, he had only 6 logged dives - to save time they sent him on one hour dives or for forty minutes and logging them as two or three separate twenty minute dives and justifying this by saying - Padi defines a dive as twenty minutes long! Yes that it correct, however I do not think, and please correct me if i am wrong, that Padi will count an hours dive as three dives? Each dive should be a different experience depending on how deep you go, how tired you were, what you saw, the current, the depth, how cold or warm it was etc etc. • He completed 3 adventure dives in 1 dive as part of the advanced course, including the deep dive. They went to 19.4m! I asked the instructor why they didn't go to thirty meters and her response was that Padi defines a deep dive as a dive below 18 meters. While this is correct - he is now allowed to go to thirty meters and yet has never experienced it. He doesn't know the deco time will be affected or if he experiences narcosis. They are basically just doing the minimum to tick the boxes. • The DM trainees receive the DM packs without the instructor manual, without the decal and without the eRDP. They sell them the eRDP for 28 Euro and the instructor manual for 54 Euro! So unethical to sell them items that have already been paid for! • The result of this kind of training is going to result in inexperienced qualified professionals who will not have enough experience to deal with problems, and will pass on bad habits and attitudes to others. Diving is supposed to be fun but they are sucking the fun out of it. • They are taking advantage of young people and trying to get as much money from them as possible. They do not even provide a hanger to hang up a BCD after a dive and expect you to buy a hanger from them at the great price of 25 Euro!! They do not provide any drinking water facilities, however sell bottles of water at inflated prices! Surely they should be ambassadors of the environment and discourage use of plastic bottles and also at least provide free drinking water! • On their brochure for the IDC, they promised us 15% discount on Scuba Pro products when we join. After joining, I bought some products from Scuba Pro from their shop. When I enquired about the discount, I was told that the discount was already included in the price. I asked how and they said that it just is. I asked them- if someone walked in from the street to buy the same things, would you increased the price by 15%? However they had no answer for me. • On the same purchase, I asked to pay by card, however they claimed that if I paid by card that I would have to pay 11% extra and that I should pay in cash! Hmm - no bank charges that!!! They should not be allowed to operate this way. It is dangerous and unethical! I really hope Padi to do something about this place as it is awful to see this happening and that they seem to be getting away with it.

We wanted to start diving so booked on the Open Water Course! This 3 day course was so worth it, we gained so much knowledge about scuba diving and were able to see some amazing sites from octopus to turtles and lots of other beautiful aquatic life. Coming back for the advanced diver course in the summer, Loved it!!!!

We will definitely be coming back to visit everyone. All of the trainees are absolutely lovely and take pride in what they do. We both highly recommend diving with this amazing group!

I am an experienced diver and the centre were brilliant. Dives were well organized and varied every time I have been – I haven’t done the same site twice. Safety was always central but never detracted from the dives. The dive sites offer lots of rays, fish, amazing rock formations and the occasional surprise. The water’s not warm 20 degrees – but better than most of Europe. Firmly recommended.

After looking for dive schools in Tenerife we found this dive centre with great reviews so got in touch. We only had time for 2 dives and we received fantastic service from Pete, Alice and the team. They helped us decide the dive sites and were flexible when we needed to change days due to one of us getting sick, picked us up and dropped us off all within the price.

I had a great experience diving here, I found them really professional and it was totally worth the price. In addition, if you plan to dive with this company ask for the instructor named Oli. He is a great guy and will make ur experience even better.

I successfully completed my Divemaster at TDA several months ago. During my time there, I was able to complete everything that was required by PADI for the Divemaster. However, it did feel as though we were just checking the boxes. First of all, the vast majority of the training was done by more experienced students training one another rather than working directly with a course director/instructor. Although this is a good experience for teaching, it isn’t what you expect when you’re paying for a Divemaster internship. This being said, we did have some courses with Oli, which he did a very good job in orchestrating the classes. My final comment related to the training is that we dove in the same bay (which had 2 sites) for the entire internship, with the majority of the dives barely exceeding 5m. So after leaving Tenerife I felt that I had gained little to no experience in navigating dive sites or guiding, which are two very important components of being a Dive master. However, because the bay was such a safe training environment we were able to perfect our skills which did help me to do very well on my instructor exam in October. But I felt that after the training was completed, that was the only area that I really excelled at because of the training I received at TDA. Additionally, the accommodation that was advertised ended up being very different than what was outlined in the information I received from Pete and Alice. The accommodation they set us up in was actually approximately 20km from the diveshop. Pete and Alice were kind enough to drive us to and from the shop at the beginning and end of the day, but it gave us very little flexibility and isolated us from the other interns. If I would have known I was going to be so far away I may have arranged other accommodation prior to arriving. In the end all the girls in our house decided to rent a shared car to allow us to spend more time with the other interns and explore the island on our day off. It was rather frustrating and disappointing that when spots opened up in the Abades houses they wouldn’t allow us to move in there despite asking weeks prior to the openings. Lastly, our house had no hot water for the 6 weeks I was in Tenerife. Although our accommodation was a very nice house, the location and lack of hot water made it a frustrating stay. In the end, I did have a great time during the dive master, but unfortunately it had very little to do with TDA. I met an amazing group of friends there that helped me grow as a diver. Without their support I’m not sure that I would have been able to overcome the hostile and patronizing attitudes that Pete and Alice displayed towards many of the divers. I completed my Instructor Development Course(IDC) in the States in October and have been working professionally as an instructor since then, so part of the reason I’m writing this review is because of the vast difference in the quality of support and instruction I received at TDA in comparison to where I did my IDC. This being said, if you just want to tic the boxes for a dive master, TDA will allow you to do that.

I really enjoyed every aspect of my time at the academy becoming a Divemaster. The course, the instructors, the location/dive site and the people I met whilst I was here were all amazing. Pete and Alice are really easy to get on with and they were happy to give advice and tips on anything. There is a lot to learn but a lot of time for socializing and having fun as well. You definitely get out what you put in. There are also a great choice of optional specialties you can take during the internship. Courses overlap so you learn from other people on the internship and knowledge and skills are passed on from group to group. It's a perfect opportunity to meet new people from all over the world. Abades reef is a beautiful location for diving. There's a large variety of sea life and there's something to see all year round. Some of the specialties take you to other stunning dive sites around Tenerife as well (swimming with turtle on the Boat Diver Specialty was my favourite). Overall, a great internship and a great experience and would recommend it to anyone. One of the best experiences of my life and I have already booked to come back next year to do the PADI Instructor Course.

I spent 6 weeks with Tenerife dive academy, and finished my Divemaster Internship. It was life changing experience and i enjoyed all the time while i was there, i got all the support and help to become PADI PRO. Thank you Pete and Alice.

I don't know why they day it is a good diving center. But i paid for guided dives and instead they didn't send anyone, they sent a new diver that failed to go down to be my buddy. Totally not a safe place to dive with cause even their instructors didn't want me to join them Tim and Jackson, both are their just to give courses and that's it. So i took full responsibility for a new diver and i am an Advanced PADI. The boat was nice and that was the only thing good about them. That can give them this one star. Bad attitude that their instructors refuse to take their tank to their shop. I drove to drop it myself. I wanted to dive sidemount two tanks and thet even refused, so why u left me as a solo diver to dive with single while no one their and my body ended the dive in 21 min for finishing his air. Adding to that he was happy to see an orange fish. So looks like he is fresh. So, make sure you expect the below. No safety No efficiency Bad attitude from instructors jackson and tim. I don't want to say rude. No one will help you in anything. Yah forgot to say, jackson the instructor told me go away while he was giving a briefing about the day. I ended up sleeping in the boat till 5 pm cause of there is no use of talking or explaining or even fighting, u dive to enjoy but that's not the friendly environment place that you will expect.

Worst diving experience by far! Very bad equipment and an unprofessional guide who was going to make me drown ! Never go there for diving .

I am very disappointed for my time spend there.. i wish there was a refund policy! the couple that run the business are very focused on selling rather than training. Expect to mop and remove the dust from the shop all the time just to please the owner, which clearly miss his previous military lifestyle.. These are "rules" imposed by the owner , rules never mentioned in the terms and conditions on their website or in any PADI guidelines. So you intern will PAY for the intership but you will be treated as his employee or soldier! ridiculous.. There are many hidden costs and they will pressure you to buy unuseful items, which in my case disappeared from the shop as well so wasted money. In the unfortunate case you need the accomodation provided by the academy keep in mind: no wifi! no cleaner! plastic bag on the materass! now to complete online tests and knowledge reviews you will be friendly adviced to go the local bar and use the free wifi, becasue the music .. the other people chatting.. the constantly unstable wifi of the bar won't be a problem at all for you concentrating in your study... the location ( Abades ) is isolated, without a car is hard to move and visit the island.

This is the second time we have been with Tenerife Diving Centre, my 12 year old son loved the experience last year and wanted to have another go. The divers are very patient and encouraging.

DIVERS BEWARE The online presence of this organisation and its second name Divemaster Academy Tenerife or its third name Tenerife Diving Supplies looks professional and plausible, however, the reality is very different. The proprietors Pete & Kim (who dives under the name Alice until it is time to certify logbooks), the business is run as a military style bootcamp with the young interns given a multitude of tasks, rules and regulations to comply with daily. The owners rarely speak with the customers and are less than happy when asked questions - this leads to the customers being scared to speak to the owners or each other. The atmosphere is toxic and not at all conducive to young people learning and having fun whilst doing so. Finally, the owners extract as much money from their young customers as possible by charging hugely inflated prices for "essential" items that are infact not essential, they also regularly charge for extras which if you do not wish to pay you are excluded from diving. Buyer beware - do your research and read reviews that are not written by the owner on his website, or better still find a former customer and get their opinion. Good luck and happy diving.

The worst humain beeing i ever met! the 2 owners are the most interest people interest about your money ! Dont trust them! If you re a young diver go anywhere but not in this place! If you need a chat i will be happy to explain who they re and why you shouldnt go there..

It was my first time diving ever and I couldn't have chosen a better location, team and instructor. I felt 100% safe and my first dive was an amazing experience. The underwater world was absolutely amazing too. The whole staff was super friendly and professional all the time. Overall an absolute premium experience. Highly recommendable!

I done my padi try dive and was very happy with my day. They collected me from Los Cristianos and also dropped me home with no extra charge. I must say i am totally hooked now and cant wait to try again, perhaps even the full diving course next time i am back. I did my advanced, rescue and divemaster course with these guys and it was just amazing! There is always a good atmosphere and everyone is ready to help you out, answer questions and give advice! And it's a huge plus that you get to borrow all the equipment you need, even computers, which shows that they are all about providing good, SAFE diving! I have had the time of my life with all the other interns and I'm definitely coming back! Love you guys!

My spouse and I did the open water dive certificate with Tenerife Diving Academy and was so glad we did. We both recommend them if this is your first experience.Our guide explained everything very clearly, even under water! The whole Team was great and very helpful with preparations for dives. They are all very friendly and funny. We are glad to have experienced our first dive with them!

I did my first diving at the Tenerife Diving Academy with Veronica and Scott. It was so great and beautiful that I did a second diving with Veronica. If you want to do your diving with someone who loves what she works for, you'll have to ask for Veronica. Thank you very much for those great and wonderfull experiences! I'm sure, I'll come back soon to do the Open Water Diver. Last but not least this Academy is really clean and nice!

I did the DSD at the Tenerife Diving Academy and it was the best experience I've ever had, so I decide to do 3 more dives after the first one. Everyone where totally friendly and I always felt save while diving with Veronica. I'm looking forward to come back as soon as possible to do the Open Water Dive and maybe I'll get to do the DM Internship too.

Guys, don't join any internship! That will help you to save money and time. I found the website in April 2015 and wrote with a "non-existing" girl to join the internship as a vacation-trip! I thought an academy should be a better solution to become a DM and it only takes 4 weeks and especially with unlimited Diving. When i arrived in july 2015 i had over 200 dives around the world. First of all i got a bedroom 2x2m, without any wardrobe, chair and so on, just an old guest bed! The next days i did nothing, just sitting in the academy. The next days we did some "fun dives" 5 meters 20 minutes, what a rubbish. The other intern trained skills and i'm just looking what to do... There weren't a instructor in the water to help/train us. The interns did it by themselves. We never got a plan for the hole internship, "day off" was a surprise every time. I asked for unlimited diving but it weren't allowed or booked. So I rent a car to do some dives around the island. After 2 weeks with 9 dives i finished my internship. Many thanks to instructor dave, i think he left the academy. He is a diver you need to become a good DM. The other guys especially the base-leader and his girlfriend were interested to get your money. Be careful, if you joined the internship, use school stuff! Of course you have to buy some small things, but less than 50 Euro! And you have to know that you will be their gofer. Some interns had to clean sandy pee (dog of the base-leader). And as you read in the other reviews. You will definitely pay beerfines! Conclusion: I got my DM in 2 weeks with 9 dives! Interns we trained by interns and not by the instructors! The other interns helped me to finish the internship! The base-leader and his girlfriend were the worst trainers and instructors i had ever seen, just interested to get more money!

I attended this academy for two weeks and I didn't have a nice experience. The owners are not honest people, they made me pay 2 months of accomodation for staying two weeks and my diving boots disappeared and they didn't care about it at all. They make people pay to be exploted, it's ridiculous. I would not recommend this academy at all. They don't treat people nicely, they treat the interns like retarded slaves, honestly. I met around 20 interns, none of them was happy with the situation. The people in town only said bad things about the owners too. It's not worh it, you can find a better place to do your diving internship.

I think it's time to put my review, by the way I'm pretty sure the two last commentary is a fake, I can read the owner on the script, and also I was there all the summer, and I never met these people but the review of Geoff was a really good one that's exactly how the academy work. This review was really difficult to write because I wanted to say so many things. I will try to resume. First of all, Tenerife Diving Academy only want to take your money, like every business but they are really really good to do that. Exemple: My mouthpiece of my regulator was broken the first day because maybe 20 interns used before me, my surprise was so big when the day after, the owner ask me to buy a new one. It was not my fault, it was really old. 5€, maybe they pay 2€ for that. I understood at this moment. They say you have some discount for the equipment hum hum. Make 20km on the island you have all of their equipment for 30% less expensive. It's so funny the interns work, wash (equipment, center toilet etc) but the owner sell a piece of chocolate from the supermarket (0,20€) they sell that for 1,50€. Even the toilet paper is rationed!! Now speak about PADI standard, they say they are the best on the island, false I did my DSD leader, normally you have to do 4 propre DSD to have your certification and give the briefing etc. I did a "fake" DSD with an instructor, I didn't do the briefing and some friends of me did one dive with 4 customers (4 divemasters with 1 customer each) and they count that like all the DSD course. Another thing, when you have your Divemaster pack normally you have your Instructor Manual inside, not with them they take it and.... they sell it for 54€!!!!! This academy is just crazy. I have so many examples. That they have a system of beerfines, I'm not completely disagree for that you pay 1€ for each "bad thing" you do, sometimes really stupid like forget to turn off the lights. The thing is, they say this money is to pay a dinner one month for the interns, I was there since 2 months and nothing.... They wanted to make a sign for the new interns to don't speak with the old instructors or interns. It's really difficult to know all of this because they are not on TripAdvisor (maybe now) or they control their website really well but I think it's nearly finish. Now I have a job as à divemaster since 3 months I'm really happy and all the people I met in this island in the dive industry hate them. The best part is the interns and the friends I met here. Please don't go there.

Although the training can sometimes be good you don't feel excited at all to go in the shop and be ready to dive. Even though you have to pay so much money to be there for the dive master internship they still make you pay €1 for every little mistake you make, and fun is not in their dictionary. The instructors pretend to be your friends but at the end they go behind your back and twist stories to make your stay horrible if they don't really like you. I was an inter there and even though I had more than enough time to finish it I left a rescue diver because they had personal issues towards me. To sum up this is not the place for you to go and learn to be a good dive because it's mostly a tick in a box without good explanations and you will not have fun at the shop. Although Tenerife is a beautiful place which I would defamatory recommend seeing and go diving, It was also a good experience for me meeting new and interesting characters from all around the world

Hi, I have never written a review before but due to the experience I had at tenerife diving academy I feel you need to know what it is really like there, I would not recommend this place to anyone and the reason I say this is what they say on divemaster Internship is just lies people, they tell you its unlimited diving which is not true they tell you when you can diving , you will spend more time cleaning the shop,they fine you money which they call beer fines for things like leaving the light on and all pathetic rules they have and if you don't pay them they will not let you dive, they will try and get as much money out of you as they can, I strongly recommend anyone who is thinking of going here to do the divemaster Internship to look elsewhere, I just thought you should know the truth about this and if you feel you need to speak to me don't hesitate to contact me thank you for taking the time to read my review

Great dive, great people, great day!

First dive for me and my 2 children, 13 and 11, last week with Tenerife Diving Academy we absolutely loved it (11 year old was anxious prior to dive). They enjoyed it so much we ended up doing another two dives two days later. Can't recommend the center highly enough, well looked after throughout the whole experience, professional and welcoming team of people. Kids are hooked now and want to do their open water cert next time we visit. Thanks guys for making our holiday so memorable 😁👍

I have completed my PADI Open Water course at Tenerife Diving Academy. The organisation and the course itself were absolutely fantastic. People working there are super friendly, helping and enthusiastic. I have learnt a lot and had so much fun! I will definitely continue diving and would come back to study again!:)

Tenerife diving academy, is a great place to learn to dive whether that be as an beginner or a experienced diver. The center is situated in a marine protected area so there is so much life under the sea. When I was there I entered as a Rescue diver, I went there to achieve the qualification as a Divemaster, through all the hard work from Pete, Alice, Dave, Adam and the rest of the interns I achieved the qualification. After the Divemaster qualification I wanted to go for the Instructor, again with all the help with the dive center and the friends that I have made when I was there to achieve that level in the scuba diving world. So i say thank you so much for what you have done. In the dive center everyone is involved, looking after the customers, preparing for dives, working on there qualifications, helping around the center. The atmosphere of the center is great, meaning you enter with a smile on your face and when you leave you gain a bigger smile, friends for life, qualification that you can use or improve and a passion in the sport. The dive center is in a beautiful area, with many dives locations just in 400 meters of the center. Everyone that goes to the diving center is welcome with the big smiles, open arms and passion of diving of everyone that is there whether they be interns or customers. Tenerife diving academy is a great place to learn and to enjoy the diving in the areas around the island, the marine life is something that is magical and it is something that I would like to go back to. So to finish it off I will say this, Tenerife dive academy is beautiful place to go to learn to dive and have fun, making friends that will dive with you. This is a place that I would recommend to people that want to dive, like the warm sea, like to see massive amounts of marine life, gain qualifications, make friends, have fun and to have an experience of a life time.

What an awesome experience. These guys make you feel comfortable and part of a team from the moment you arrive. I had the chance to do my divemaster internship anywhere in the world. I chose the right place. I would fully recommend Tenerife diving academy if you're serious about a career in scuba diving.

I really loved my divemaster course i started out non certified and spent 8 weeks gaining the knowledge and training i needed to become a divemaster. The course was awesome throughout the whole thing and the staff are great.Spent hours and hours in the water enjoying every minute of it and would love it do it all again everyone and everything was great would reccomend this to everyone. :)

Great diving school with a perfect location to learn diving. We had some problems but they were taken care off properly!
