Tenerife Host

Booking for Feb 2024. We found Gregory using a Google search to look for a local tour guide. We booked a full day Mt. Teide tour for two adults and three children, aged 7, 5 and 2. We opted for the larger 7 seater vehicle for extra comfort and space. We booked via the Tripspoint website which did cause us to be a little hesitant to start with because the site seemed huge, with lots of tours and we couldn’t be sure who our tour guide would be. Most of the Mt. Teide tours seem to mention Gregory so we booked anyways and hoped that it was Gregory who would show us around. Within an hour, Gregory called me to confirm details and bookings. I immediately informed him that we are a safety conscious family and would like children car sets to be available. He was completely understanding and assured us that it would not be a problem. On the day of the trip, Gregory arrived right on time with the three appropriate children car seats as promised. The day was brilliant with as many stops as we wanted to cater for the kids who do not travel well. Gregory was very patient when our two year was just crying constantly throughout the journey. We were picked up at 1100 and returned at around 1800. Gregory drove a little slower so that it was more comfortable for the children. He was really knowledgeable and we learnt a lot about Tennerife and Mt. Teide. We will be sure to book another trip with Gregory when we return. He has also given us some hotel recommendations for the next time. I thoroughly recommend him. As an aside, I think it would be good for Gregory if he had his own website and when it comes to payment, it could take us to the Tripspoint / booking page. We were very close to not booking because we were after Gregory specifically and it wasn’t obvious we would have gotten him via Tripspoint.

Booked the full day using tripspoint for the Tenerife cruise excursion. It was quite affordable compared to the cruise ship excursion offerings, plus my husband and I had the tour guide all to ourselves instead of dealing with buses and coaches and lots of people. Gregory was very knowledgeable with perfect English and actually speaks several languages. He had deep knowledge of the Canaries, and could speak on the wide variety of topics. He was very enjoyable. He listened attentively to what we wanted to see, and what we wanted to avoid, and took us on a very amazing tour of almost the entire island. He had car trouble that morning and had to go rent a car, but was still on time to pick us up and seem pretty relaxed about the whole situation that that must’ve been stressful. He’s very patient and laid-back. The communication while booking right up until pick up time was excellent You cannot go wrong, looking with Gregory on trips point for your Tenerife shore excursion.

Fantastic service! I contacted Tenerife Host via WhatsApp to inquire about a dual ticket to Loro Parque and Siam Park. They provided all the details including a link to the website and guidance regarding how to purchase the tickets. Really happy and they made me feel confident about getting the right products.

We (2 adults and 2 children) booked the 8 hour Tenerife Magic Circle Private Tour online and Gregory called us to confirm within 5 minutes. On the day, he picked us up on time and started the tour around the island. Gregory is very kind, patient, down to earth, respectful and extremely knowledgeable. It was great listening to his stories of the island whilst showing us around. We saw all of the things mentioned in other reviews so I won’t repeat it here. Tenerife is a fantastic island with so many things to see and do. We enjoyed Gregory’s company so much that we booked a separate 5 hour tour with him to see Mount Teide at sunset - this is a must do! If you’re short on time and want to see all of Tenerife book these two tours - you won’t be disappointed. Tenerife Host is a great company and Gregory is a joy to be around and we would recommend him to everyone! Gregory, thank you for safely showing us around the island.

Gregory took us around the island of Tenerife for 3 days. He was always on time, very kind, respectful, down to earth and knowledgeable. He is very easy to talk to and we felt very safe with him. He knew a lot about the island and shared with us interesting stories which we really appreciated. He knew the best places to eat while we were exploring the island and always asked our group if we needed a snack or bathroom break. He introduced us to barraquitos- the traditional Canarian coffee drink, which was amazing. He also took us to a beautiful beachfront restaurant where we enjoyed fresh seafood and watched the local surfers catch some waves. On the last day, he took us to a volcanic vineyard on the way back from Mount Teide which offered one of the best wines we’ve ever had and the most delicious Canarian traditional meal. We felt very at home with Gregory and the people he’s introduced us to. He always made sure we were comfortable and provided us with bottles of water daily. He also suggested quick, yet breathtaking hikes throughout the trip and took incredible photos of our group. He always greeted us with a smile. We loved having him around and made our first time in Tenerife memorable. We would recommend him to anyone exploring the gorgeous island of Tenerife.

A very good tour to La Gomera was had last Wednesday 11th Sep by myself and my partner.

Our holiday in Tenerife was one of the best holidays and the trip we have taken with Gregory was great. We were so happy we haven't rented a car and chose to travel with a professional guide since we could better enjoy everything: landscape, a drink, taking pictures so on. When travel with a local guide you can see more and he /she knows exactly where to take you to enjoy more things in a shorter time. Traveling on Las Montagnas de Anaga was a great experience, reaching from the bottom by the sea, to the top in the clouds. The kids were really excited also with the natural parc and forests we have been walking through. So, call Gregory and enjoy Tenerife :)

Four of us traveled to Tenerife and had four phenomenal days with Gregory. He is very flexible and tries to insure that we got to do everything we wanted - He juggled tours around to accomodate the weather. Gregory went above and beyond - He took us all over Tenerife - Teide, "blue sand deserts," Anaga mountains, Los Gigantes (twice!!), and two sunsets one of them above the clouds!! Gregory knew many wonderful places - locally owned restaurants which was a great addition to the trip - we all fell in love with mojo!!! We also went to La Gomera where again he brought us to wonderful places. I STRONGLY recommend booking any and all of Gregory's tours (I believe we did all, if not most of them). He also was busy snapping photos and the morning after I arrived home I had 371 photos waiting for me!!! Thank you Gregory - our visit was the best!!

Some months ago we took a cruise which included a stop in Tenerife. Rather than book a tour through the cruise ship at an exorbitant price we decided to book a private tour with this company. Our tour driver was Gregory, who speaks fluent English as well as many other languages. We had a delightful day touring the island. We went to see isolated mountain villages, dramatic views of some beaches, the zoo, the botanical gardens, and finally the city where we visited the cathedral and got to see the mural of the sardine Madonna. Along the way we stopped at a small resturant to drink a Tenerife coffee, a delicious multi-layered beverage I had never encountered before. As much as we enjoyed the sights, the most interesting part of the tour was Gregory sharing his unique world travels, such as solo kyaking in the Russian wilderness. The tour was relaxing, informative, and completely delightful. I would, without question, recommend Tenerife Tours for any travel plans you might have in Tenerife.

We booked the Anaga Tour and it was much more than just a tour to the Mercedes forest. Gregory is the perfect tour guide. A safe driver, a good photographer, a very knowledgeable man with many interests, capable to adjust to people and their different needs. Stop searching: You just found the best of them. If we come back to Tenerife, we‘ll book another tour with Gregory. He is not pushing, not taking you to places you don‘t want to visit. Make the best out of your Tenerife holiday and treat yourself to a tour or two with Gregory. You‘ll not regret it.

Booked the "Magic Teide by Night" astronomy tour. Had a great experience with Greg. He was extremely responsive via WhatsApp and managed to answer all our questions leading up to the tour. The tour itself was highly informative and the high desert environment otherworldly. Learned a great deal about the stars that night and even got a few great high-res photos of the moon through one of the telescopes provided. Definitely an experience to remember.

We had an amazing time on the Trips point Anaga adventure. Gregory picked us up at our hotel in the south, we made a few stops along the way to see some cool local towns. We then drove up to a beautiful viewpoint to see Playa de Las Teresita’s. Afterwards we stopped for a fantastic seafood lunch and then drove to the Anaga Park. The hike, scenery and wildlife were unbelievable. This trip was out favorite part of Tenerife and we are so glad the we decided go! Gregory was an awesome guide, very personable and friendly and had vast knowledge of the area. We would highly recommend this trip for anyone that wants to see the most beautiful part of this island!! Thanks Gregory!

Anyone interested in getting a true feel for Tenerife can do no better that book a tour with Gregory. We were picked up at our hotel near the South airport and provided a customized tour of the island before being dropped off at the cruise terminal in the North. While Gregory had a clear plan on which parts of the island he wanted us to see, he was consistently responsive when any one of our group of four had a special request or need. I recommend that you let him know if you have your heart set on something, but otherwise let him take it from there. A worldly guy, Gregory speaks great English (along with "5 and a half" other languages). His explanations of local customs and cuisine not only helped us appreciate our experience that day, but allowed us to acclimate more quickly to the other Canary Islands that we visited in the days to follow. Our tour with him included Masca (and its winding, exhilarating road), Los Gigantes, Icod de los Vinos, and several other coastal communities. We stopped for baraquitos (enhanced coffee) in the mountains, lunch at a cute little neighborhood eatery, and wine tasting at a wine museum. We have taken a ton of island tours over the years, but this was the first time that a guide asked if he could extend the tour at no additional charge because we had time before we needed to be on board and there were other sites that he thought we could see. Note that Tenerife Host can book tours pretty far in advance; a consequence of generating so many well-deserved five star reviews. If you want to book an awesome tour in Tenerife, book with Gregory now!

Fantastic Day 10/8/2017 Having visited the island a couple of years ago and not left the resort, this time we wanted to find out more about Tenerife. We couldn't have picked a better private tour. Gregory arrived on time in a Mercedes to pick us up from our apartment and immediately his enthusiasm for his island home was clear. He showed us all the main sites, Los Gigantes, Masca, Tenos mountains, Tiede etc. but in between we saw so much more. He told us all about Tenerife's history, the formation, early human history, volcanic activity and flora and fauna; all of course absolutely fascinating. Standing on the ridge between the cloudy north and the sunny south is a memory that will stay. His choice of lunch venue, an ordinary looking restaurant from the road but housing an amazing garden and wonderful local cuisine was a real treat. We then headed via the old Capital, garachico which was all but destroyed by a major eruption in 1706. We saw the dragon tree in Icod de los Vinos but again the highlight was a visit to a wine museum with a beautiful garden. They have a wide variety of trees and flowers. I now know what a coffee tree and a mango tree look like. We then climbed up the slopes through the magnificent pine forests, through the clouds up to the caldera, again all the geology, much generally misunderstood was clearly explained by Gregory. We saw some fantastic views throughout the day and Gregory stopped at request to allow us to take photographs. We were around 9.5 hours into an 8 hr trip when Gregory dropped us back. We have some amazing photos and videos, many of them taken by Gregory, but more importantly a far better knowledge of Tenerife and memories that will last a lifetime.

Cannot recommend the company highly enough. We had a great day out and we got close to the Whales and Dolphins and had a swim and lunch

We did the Magic Circle day with Gregory picking us up exactly on time from our hotel. He immediately put us at our ease being very easy to chat to. We had a wonderful day and saw and experienced so much more than if we had gone on a large tour or even hired a car ourselves. The highlights: - the traditional coffee from a roadside catering van half way up a mountain - the views of los Gigantos from the light house - the hair pin bends - traditional lunch at a small restaurant with a beautiful garden - the wine museum and tasting - Tiede early evening when every one else had gone home And so much more!!! And Gregory himself, a very interesting and knowledgeable person. He took lots of photos for us during the day and even took some on his phone when my husband's died. These were then sent to me. I can't recommend this day enough. If we ever return to Tenerife I would contact Gregory to see what he could suggest for another trip.

Had a fantastic excursion! Couldn't recommend them enough. Was one of our favourite highlights on our honeymoon. Would love to return!

We did the Teide, Garachico, Masca Bus Excursion in Tenerife tour. It was awesome, the staff are excellent, the bus was very comfortable and totally worth the price which was not very high as well.

Greg who was our tour guide, very pleasant and flexible with where and what we would like do, we told him that we are under tight timing schedule but still want make most of the trip seeing the fantastic volcano view and mountain top view of the island, he made it happen magically! We even had time to a local restaurant for authentic Spanish meal, really good trip! Highly recommended Greg for private tour guide! Thanks Greg

My wife and I did the full day tour with Gregory as part of our honeymoon stay in Tenerife. He was extremely easy going, fun, and knowledgeable. Has a great sense of when to hang back, and let you explore a bit on your own, which I love in a tour guide. Never felt we stayed too long, or too short at any one location. Car was very nice. It’s really about as perfect as a tour gets. If you’re searching for a tour guide, you can probably just stop looking, you’ve found the guy.

Went on 2 excursions with tenerife host while visiting. Both were well organized. Really enjoyed our trip to Anaga. They are also great at getting back to you quickly when you have a question!

This being our 1st time in Tenerife, we wanted to do a tour of the Island but didn't want the usual "on the left etc" coach tour, so after reading the reviews about Tenerife Host we emailed them and got a prompt reply from Gregory who gave us the information we needed and proceeded to book the tour. We were met by Gregory outside our hotel, a warm welcome and the start of a day that will be remembered for years. Gregory was an excellent guide and showed a passion and interest in the places we visited during an amazing 8 hour tour, from Los Gigantos Sea Cliffs, Garachico and many other points. We had lunch in a family run restaurant with a enclosed rear garden, the service, food and location was fantastic. After lunch it was a drive towards the highlight (literally!!!) Of the tour Mount Tiede, to say it's out of this world is an understatment and needs to been seen in person. All in all an excellent day and worth every penny, if you are in Tenerife then check out this company as they are highly recommrnded

We're frequent visitors to Tenerife and every time we go, we book a private tour with TENERIFE HOST and a few funny things to do in Tenerife. It because we're simply sure - this company always do all the best.
