Whale Express Tenerife

Great experience! We've got to see several pilot whale families during the 2 hours tour and also other species. Our guide was knowledgeable and very enthusiastic. The whole experience gave us impression of respect to the nature and doing the whale watching in an ethical and respectful way. I highly recommend this small-scale cruise instead of tours on huge boats fulled with loads people.

Such a nice time we had! The guide really tried to find the whales and dolphins. Every now and then she told a some nice facts about the animals. Much respect for the animals and the nature. Good equipment. A little hard to find (I think they don't have a desk), you should wait at gate #4

Una muy excelente experiencia, fuimos un grupo de 7 personas y se sintió muy cómodo y personalizado. Olatz fue muy amable y capaz, demostrando gran conocimiento de la fauna.

Sehr zu empfehlen: wir waren nur 4 Leute und haben Wale, Delfine, fliegende Fische und eine Schildkröte auf der 2h Tour gesehen. Es wird auf ausreichend Abstand geachtet und nie quer durch eine Tierfamilie gefahren. Zum Beobachten wird der Motor abgestellt, teilweise schwimmen die Wale dann bis ans Boot. Der respektvolle Umgang mit den Tieren hat uns sehr gefallen. Danke an Olatz!

Wir durften eine wunderschöne Whale Watching Tour erleben. Da wir die einzigen Gäste waren, hatten wir quasi eine private Tour. Unser guide hat uns ganz viel über die Tiere erzählt und die große Begeisterung für ihren Job vermittelt. Es wird zudem sehr darauf geachtet, Abstand zu den Tieren zu halten und sie nicht zu bedrängen, was uns sehr wichtig war. Diese Tour war definitiv ein ganz großes Highlight unseres Urlaubs!

Excellente sortie en famille (2 adultes et 3 enfants), nous avons pu voir baleines pilotes, dauphins, tortue, poissons volants et même un bébé requin baleine. Notre skippeuse était très agréable, attentionnée et passionnée, avec des commentaires (en anglais) intéressants. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir lors d’un prochain passage à Tenerife !

Haben die Firma Whale Express über die Google-Bewertungen ausgewählt, online über die Unternehmensseite gebucht und waren begeistert. Zwar etwas schwierig zu finden, aber wenn man so rumsteht, finden sie dich auf jeden Fall...toller Ausflug, wir waren zu acht auf dem Boot, jede Menge Wale ( auch Babies), eine Schildkröte und Flying Fishes gesehen. Unsere Kapitänin hat alles versucht und ist mit uns kreuz und quer gefahren, leider hatten wir kein Glück mit Delfinen...definitiv ein tolles empfehlenswertes Urlaubserlebnis mit supernetten Leuten.

A magical 2 hour express sea voyage . Saw several pilot whale pods with a couple of close ups . .. Mother and baby and then a pod of 10 heading towards our comfortable and speedy motored dinghy . Our skipper knew her marine life and her commentary was fascinating . Loved every minute .

Amazing excursion in a friendly atmosphere! We followed pilot whales and dolphins, some of them were swimming very close to our boat. Our skipper was very competent. I would love to make this trip again.

The speadboat used by Whale Express is the only way to observe dolphins and whales at the closest distance possible; our experience was great: we saw many whales and even a group of dolphins swimming close to the speadboat: we could watch them from a couple of meters!!!

absolutely incredible experience! the guide was fantastic—knowledgeable, friendly, and made the trip even more special. the boat was the perfect size, comfortable but still intimate. we saw dolphins and pilot whales up close, which was just magical. the 2-hour trip was the perfect length for our family of four, including two toddlers. couldn’t have asked for a better way to see these amazing animals. highly recommend!

Die Tour war fantastisch, wir haben in kürzerster Zeit mehrere verschiedene Walherden endeckt und uns mit respekvoller Distanz positioniert um diese Tiere zu beobachten. Ebenfalls hatt uns unsere Skipperin sehr viele spannende Infos über die Meeresbewohner verständlich weitergegeben. Wir würden diese Tour zu 100% weiterempfehlten. TOP.

Boat ride was exhilarating. Even if we saw no whales it would have been worth it for that alone. But.. We saw loads of whales, they are really nosey and curious. On way back we saw a large pod of really cute Atlantic spotted dolphins. It was an experience I'll never forget.

Took the two hour tour in order to get best chance at seeing whales. 15 minutes out we saw lots of pilot whales and a turtle later on. Great boat and lovely helpful guide explained everyone. Much better in this boat as there is only maximum 11 people.

Super, wir haben heute mehrere Gruppen von Pilotwalen gesehen. Die 2 Stunden Tour kann ich nur empfehlen. Man sollte aber Englisch können.

Egy program szervező oldalon foglaltam hozzájuk helyet. Korrekt módon irányítottak bennünket a bálna vagy delfin les napján. Egész csapat pilóta bálnát (gömbölyű fejű delfint) láttunk. Nem zavartuk őket ott úszkáltak .ellettünk, alattunk.

Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit der einstündigen Tour. Die Skipperin ist mit viel Rücksicht auf die Wale gefahren. Wir konnten einige Tiere sehen. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Oli todella hieno kokemus, valaita löydettiin melkein heti kun sopivalle syvyydelle päästiin. Opas oli todella osaava ja kertoi paljon mielenkiintoista faktaa valaista. Ensimmäisessä penkissä muutaman kerran tuli kastuttua kovan aallokon takia, mutta nopeasti aurinko kuivasi.

Highly recommend this tour, guide was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, keen to show us as much as she could and very passionate about the marine life. On our tour we were really lucky to see a few different groups of pilot whales and dolphins. Great value.

Amazing and unique experience, we foud whales and dolphins in just 20 minutes, so we were able to "hang" with them for more than hour and half. Skiper was very kind and was providing us with a lot of information regarding whales and sea life in general. Beside whales we had a chance to observe birds and flying fishes. Boat is very stable on the waves, safe and reaches positions very fast. Higly recommended.

I highly recommend it. The guide explained everything, we could look for the whales ourselves. What was also great was how they respected the nature and turned off the engine, lowered speed etc Also great consumer service - there weren’t many people interested in the date and time we selected and instead of cancelling they offered to change the time for later the same day, for a longer session with no extra charge. I really really appreciated it especially that I bought tickets as a birthday gift for my brother.

Wir haben wie versprochen Wale gesichtet. Die Besatzung ist sehr umsichtig und unterhaltsam. Infos gibt's in spanisch, englisch und deutsch mit google Übersetzer. Getränke, ein kleiner Imbiss und wenn nötig Tüten für den Mageninhalt sind im Preis inbegriffen. Der Badestop vor der Küste ist für mutige Schwimmer ein Erlebnis und eine willkomme Abkühlung. Uns hat es sehr viel Spaß gemacht, ein tolles Erlebnis!

The boat itself is a small motorized vessel, probably seating around nine people, which allowed us to reach places faster than larger boats. The captain, an incredible woman, was nothing short of amazing. She was kind, attentive, and took the time to explain so much about the animals we encountered. It was clear that this wasn't just a job for her—she enjoyed every moment of the trip right alongside us. She was constantly on the lookout for wildlife, and when she found them, she brought us as close as possible. Throughout the journey, she shared fascinating information about whales. It’s important to note that not all boats have the permit to approach whales closely, but Whale Express does, making the experience even more special. This was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. If I’m ever in the area again, I’ll definitely choose Whale Express, and I hope to have the same incredible captain. Sortie extraordinaire, expérience magique, l'accompagnatrice (Olat si je me souviens bien du prénom) était formidable, souriante, super sympathique, a l'écoute et prend le temps d'expliquer, connais bien son job, a pu nous faire voir tortues, globicephales et dauphins, avec un grand tact et grande patience. Le petit bateau est bien plus intéressant que les grands, proches de l'eau, on pouvait presque toucher ces magnifiques animaux! Bref, magnifique expérience, je recommande sans hésiter.

Es war eine unglaubliche Erfahrung! Wir haben tolle Tiere gesehen. Außerdem war unser Skipper (bzw. unsere Skipperin) einfach super nett und hat super viel erklärt. Obwohl wir nur zu zweit waren, hat die Tour trotzdem stattgefunden!! Das Boot hat ein großes Dach, man muss sich also keine Sorgen um Sonnenbrand machen.

It was good until we got to go off the jet skis and getting back on the jet ski tipped over it whacked my boyfriend off his head and we was then left in the middle of the sea for 20 minutes as they was more bothered about the jet ski breaking than us. I was panicking and they weren’t bothered . The instructor was telling us to swim to him however we couldn’t because of the current and him driving the boat further away. He then got annoyed by us saying we couldn’t swim to him anymore. Stay away from this place

Einfach toll die Tour von Whale Express , die 2 Stunden haben sich voll gelohnt , es war ein Traum , wir haben kleine Delfine , große Delfine und Pilotwale gesehen. Und unsere Skipperin war einfach fantastisch, hat uns alles super erklärt und hat sich den Tieren gegenüber die ganze Zeit tiergerecht verhalten. Einfach toll

Eine super schöne Tour und eine fantastische Bootsfüherin, die sehr viele Infos bereitstellt hat und sogar zwischendurch Plastikmüll im Meer einsammelte. Wir hatten das Glück ein Boot für uns allein zu zweit zu haben und somit ist auf unsere wünsche immer eingegangen. Immer wieder gerne!

A really great whale watching tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable on whales and dolphins. We were able to see many pilot whales close up. She made sure we were able to see as many as possible. We were also able to see a group of spotted dolphins up close. This is not as common as seeing the normal bottle nose dolphins. They swim very close to the boat and are beautiful to see. Our experience was outstanding and our guide did everything she could to make sure we saw the best and most marine life in our two hour tour. We also loved the Zodiac boat. Perfect for getting up close to the action.

Kochani moi mili, dear sealovers ! Wycieczki odbywają sie w bardzo kamerlanej atmosferze z obsułgą w pełni profesjonalną. Zamiast natłoku z katamaranami polecam spokój z szacunkiem dla zwierząt. Warto zaznaczyć że przy mniejszych łodziach da się zobaczyć więcej. Oczywiście na widoki nie ma gwarancji jednak nam udało sie spotkać rodzime wieloryby, dwa gatunki delfinów i nawet rekiny(choć szybko uciekły). Polecam jeśli cenicie sobie takie warunki. Dla fanów balangi na dużych łodziach miejsce nieadekwatne 😀

Polecam z całego serca wszystkim pasjonatom przyrody. Rejsy są małe, ciche i kameralne. Można w skupieniu podziwiać przyrodę. Wspaniała Pani oceanografka opowiada i odpowiada na każde pytanie. Widzieliśmy wieloryby, rekiny, dwa rodzaje delfinów. A wszystko odbywało się z szacunkiem do przyrody. Najpiękniejsza przygoda życia.

We had such a fantastic and memorable trip with Whale Express in Feb '22 that we had to go back again in Feb '24. Both times we booked the 2 hour trip and managed to see dolphins, pilot whales, turtles and flying fish! The small boat means you can get surprisingly close to the animals but it also has a cover so there is enough shade in the midday sun. Jesus, Santa & Jaime are excellent guides to spot and identify the amazing wildlife and give you a tour of the south Tenerife coast line. Its worth bringing a jumper as it can be a bit cold/windy when speeding out to see the dolphin pods.

Leuke trip gehad vandaag. Veel informatie gekregen, zeer vriendelijke vrouw met veel kennis. Wij zagen verschillende scholen grienden (pilotwhale), zowel volwassen mannetjes als babies. Zeer aan te raden. + kleine groep op kleine boot + goede kennis + vriendelijke + op een respectvolle manier voor de dieren + goede communicatie bij boeken en ter plaatse. Aanrader.

Very nice boat tour. The skipper was very friendly and we spotted plenty of pilot whales. Groups are not big so perfect for a relaxed little trip.

They could see the turtle was sick, so we took it into the habour so the vet could look at it❤️ We highly recommand Whale Express👍

Danke Santa für diese magische Tour!!! Wir haben 3 Gruppen mit Pilotwalen gesehen die zum Teil direkt neben uns geschwommen sind und als Santa die Information bekommen hat, dass etwas weiter draußen Delphine gesichtet wurden, ist sie mit uns auch noch schnell dort hingefahren - mit vollem Erfolg! Nebenbei hat sie herum schwimmenden Müll eingesammelt und uns viel über das Leben der Wale und Delphine erzählt. Und als wäre das nicht schon genug gewesen hat sie uns am Ende auch noch einen Hammerhai präsentiert! Absolut empfehlenswert!

We had a great 2 hour boat tour. We saw many pilot whales and even 1 Bryde's whale. We had a reservation for 3 people but only went 2. We received a refund for 1 person without a problem. The guide was very nice, friendly and spoke English.

We made a late booking on the previous day and it was a very nice surprise that we could go on a 2h trip on the next day. The skipper lady was very nice and she explained everything, kept the group well informed throughout the trip. We managed to spot a lot of pilot whales and some came very close to the boat as well. Did have a great 2h tour today with seeing wales and dolphins. They even did it with only 3 people on the boat and didn’t cancel it. Recommend 👍🏼

I have to give this 0 out of 5. I have tried to contact them many times to cancel a booking in February which we are unable to attend but I have heard no response at all. Doesn't bode well for those planing to book a trip if there is zero communication. Will have to hope my credit card company will allow me to retract the payment. A family of 5 so not cheap.

Splendid trip for truly see pilot whales and dolphins at their natural habitat. We got very lucky at the 2 hour trip 17.01.2024 starting 11.00, we saw first couple bottlenose dolphins, then huge amount of pilot whales, adults and calf, approx.30 very near, nearest less than 1,5meters from the boat. After this there was amazing tens of Atlantic spotted dolphins around the boat, they rode in front of our boat and visited aside plenty of times, these dolphins are not so common here so we were really lucky as said before. Skipper made a good effort to give us the best experience and even tried to find some turtles after all this. Only minus at this day was that one of our kids got seasick, but thats possible all the time at the sea and not the skippers fault. Strong recommendation from our family of two adults and three kids.

Nous avions réservé par le site internet de Whale Express une sortie en bateau de 2h pour 2. Lorsque nous nous sommes présentés à 14h pour embarquer, le représentant de Whale Express nous a indiqué que la sortie était annulée car nous étions que 2 pour un bateau prévu pour 10. J'avais bien eu la confirmation lors de ma réservation et j'avais payé la sortie. Whales Express me propose de décaler au lendemain mais ce n'est pas possible pour nous ( de plus pas sûr qu'il y ait plus de réservations le lendemain). Whale Express me propose de me rembourser (remboursement fait dans la journée) mais ce n'est pas professionnel d'annuler juste au départ, ce qui explique ma note. Dommage car nous n'avons eu que de bonnes expériences à Tenerife sauf celle ci. Si vous souhaitez garantir votre sortie en mer, éviter Whale Express. Je n' ai pas évalué la qualité de la sortie en mer car nous ne l'avons pas faite.

We had a 2-3 hour tour with a very friendly woman, I forgot her name. She did an awesome job, explained a lot about the whales and took care that we were able to see a lot of whales on different spots. We could ask a lot of questions and sie did her best to answer them all. Also she really seemed to care about the animals and always tried not to disturb them. I highly recommend this tour.

A very good and safe trip out, lots and lots of Pilot Whales, some very close. Excellent skipper who was knowledgeable and respectful and a great experienced sea woman. Die Tour war mega. Während andere Veranstalter abgesagt haben, weil die Gruppe zu klein ist, führte Whale Express die Tour durch und wir hatten das Boot für uns zwei sogar alleine. Die Kapitänin war total nett, lustig und freundlich. Wir hatten das große Glück mehrere Grindwal-Familien zu sehen und sahen auf dem Rückweg sogar noch Delfine beim Spielen & Springen. Die Tiere werden nicht bedrängt, man hält stets Abstand und der Motor wird abgeschaltet. So kann man die Tiere aus ca. 15 Meter Entfernung sehen und die Tiere entscheiden selbst, ob sie näher kommen möchten. Können diese Tour wärmstens empfehlen.

We had a great experience with Whale Express Tenerife. We took the 1hr pack. We were 4 people in a boat able to carry 10pax. It took 20min back and forth to go in deep sea in the whales area, then the driver was trying to find the whales. They were quite difficult to find but the driver was very nice and explaining us stuff in the meantime. We eventually were able to spot them and it was such a nice experience. Fully recommend

Amazing experience! The guide was very knowledgeable and super nice to us and the animals alike. We went on the 1 hour 1pm trip with our lovely skipper, apologies we didn't catch her name. Excellent guide and captain. Set off and first 10 mins she pointed out a rather large turtle, swam right next to our boat. Then we traveled further out into the Atlantic and spotted 2 pods of pilot whales. Had an amazing trip with whale express and Olatz as a guide! We saw a lot of pilot whales and were also very lucky to see a sperm whale! Obviously in the distance but it was amazing trying to get close enough to understand what we were seeing and learn how to distinguish the splashes of these beautiful creatures! In the end we even got a turtle saying goodbye :) The team were also very kind awaiting for me as I wasn't able to arrive on time!

Without a doubt they offer a very immersive experience into the marine life around the island. With a 85% chance of seeing the whales we managed to see around 20 in a just 2 hours trip. We were only 7 guests on a small boat, with a very friendly captain and a charming guide. We went to 3 different ocean areas, and in two of them we were the only boat, showing how well the captain knew the area. Moreover, we firstly booked a 1h trip, a trip that had to be canceled. They were nice enough to offer us the 2h trip for the second day at the same price. I strongly believe that this is the best trip to choose if you want to see the whales.

Awesome tour! Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. The boat is small (we were 7 guests), so no need to worry about feeling crowded or not being able to see. We saw multiple pods of pilot wales. The boat crew takes great care to be respectful towards the animals, keeps the appropriate distance and doesn't stick around too long. Overall a great experience! I would come again.

We saw 3 or 4 different pilot whale groups and a dolphin. Our captain (Holas I think) knew all about the whales and took care and had a sensitive approach to the environment.

We did the 2 hours tour and it was phenomenal! We saw many dolphins swimming right by our boat and two kinds of whales. Our guide was enthusiastic and professional, the boat was comfortable and we were with a small group of 4. Definitely better than the big boats packed full of people. Also price-quality was very good. A highlight of our trip, I recommend!

It was a fantastic experience! They picked us up right on time in front of Café Victoria. Then we got a quick introduction about which animals we could possibly see and started right away. We saw some dolphins at the beginning, while watching the guide gave us some nice information about them but not too much so we could watch them. We also saw pilotwales, we watched several groups and learned a lot. The guide answered all our questions and used the time very well. She also checked how we feel and if anyone got seasick every once in a while. We felt very safe and comfortable.

This was such a great experience. It was exiting adventure for a 4 years old boy to see whales, turtles and crabs. Amazing experience! We were lucky to see pilot whales, dolphins and turtles. But it wasn’t only luck. Our tour guide were attentive and really tried to show us animals. We saw that many other boats weren’t trying so hard to spot an animal. And in result we met more animals than people on other boats, who were in sea in the same time as we. Also tour guide shared with us his knowledge about sea life. It was interesting and educational. I hardly recommend to choose this provider for whale watching.

The worst service ever. Highly recommended to ignore this place. Santa firstly postponed the whale watching trip due to the weather conditions, which were obvious. But when we showed up on the agreed date there were nobody on site. The guy from the neighbouring yacht was so kind to give her a call and she acted as if she forgot about us. Then she called my friend that the trip is postponed for tomorrow. But it’s our last day on the island and the rest of the boats are booked. She was lying and the weather for today is wonderful, because all the boats are in the ocean. As the result she spoiled everything. No whales during the vacation, thanks to Santa

Really nice experience. Allready an adventure to ride out to the open sea. We had the luck to be with our 3x (+9month baby) group alone on the boat. Skipper Jamie was really sympatic and took his time to explain everything. Maybe "whale EXPRESS" doesn't fit so well, because its really high quality and he took his time to answer everything (no express). It was worth every cent!

We took a private tour in the morning that lasted two hours. It was perfect! We saw bottlenose dolphins and many whales. But we were also very lucky to see atlantic dolphins that were swimming around the boat for the second part of the trip! There were so many of them that we were constantly filming and we really enjoyed that trip. The crew was also very nice. I would really recommend it to anyone!

I can't recommend this this experience enough. Me and my partner booked in Mid september, the weather was beautiful and the seas were fairly calm. Olatz was our skipper, she was super knowledgeable of the ocean, its inhabitants and the surrounding islands. Prior to setting off, we got a little bit of information and education based on the local whales and dolphins we'd be looking for. Very quickly Olatz found a turtle and then shortly after she was then able to find a pod of dolphins that we got to watch for a while (that was an exciting and majestic experience in itself). We then got to cruise around looking for pilot whales which were succesfully found more than once. And we found out how the whales can be indentified and that they have names, so cool. We loved the fact that Olatz managed to get a decent amount of rubbish/ plastic out of the ocean, and the baby crabs that were attached were safely put back in the water. She clearly cares for the ocean and the animals in it (a real life Moana). We booked a 2 hour experience and we felt that it was the right amount of time. It allows time to get in and out of the harbour and to the farther reaches of the surrounding water. We feel that 1 hour may have felt a bit more rushed for us (although I'm sure 1 hour with this company would still be worth it, it's just a personal preference). Please note that we had first tried a dolphin watching tour with one of the "leading tours" on Tripadvisor but we were left feeling dissapointed. Those tours that include drinks and food seem to put less care into searching for whales and dolphins and put more care and time into the swimming part and drinks side of it. We wish we booked this experience from the outset, we are glad we found and decided to book with Whale Express Tenerife. We got an upclose and personal experience that left us feeling satisfied and it was good value for money. Also we met Santa who was part of the team helping with everything back at the harbour, she was also very friendly and fun. Don't look elsewhere, if you want the best chance of seeing everything then book with these guys. We will be back when we come for our holidays.

Les llamé buscando trabajo y me colgaron sin decir nada. Muy maleducada la chica que respondió. Les llamé otra vez porque pensé que posiblemente había colgado por equivocación y le pregunté si se colgó por equivocación y me dijó literalmente "no, te colgé". 😅. I was calling them and a very rude girl answered and then just hung up. I called again because I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt and asked if it was by mistake but the girl answered me "No, I hung up on you". Not very professional in my opinion.

Fantastic trip really informative saw lots of whales

Hatten mehrere Unternehmen angefragt, ob wir mit unserem 6 Monate alten Baby aufs Boot kommen dürfen, alle größeren Unternehmen sagten ab. Zum Glück! Mit Whale Express hatten wir eine nette Skipperin, ein super Boot mit viel Schatten und wenig Leuten. Wir haben Delfine und Grindwale gesehen. Es war total schön und nur zu empfehlen!

Die Tour war wundervoll und hat unserer Erwartungen absolut übertroffen. Wir waren nur zu zweit mit unserer super freundlichen Skipperin 2 Stunden auf dem Boot, es war eine ruhige Atmosphäre. Viel angegenehmer als auf einem großen Boot voller Menschen. Wir haben eine Schildkröte und 3 Pilotwal Familien mit Jungtieren gesehen, ganz nah am Boot - es war magisch. Hier werden die Tiere respektiert und es wird stark auf ihr Wohl geachtet. Es war eine wunderschöne Erfahrung, die wir absolut weiter empfehlen.

if you are looking for an intimate sail with great stuff this is the place to go! we had a great time with our skipper holax. we were the only couple who booked a tour that day so we had the luxury of a private sail. we got to see a couple of pilot whales families, and the explanation by our skipper were very interesting. thanks for a great time!

We didn't have a credit-card so we booked a 2-hour tour through phone/whatsapp, that was no problem. Dock 4 was easy to find at Puerto Colòn. Big rubberboat with place for 10, we were lucky it was just us 2 on the boat. The guide was a friendly lady who had enough knowledge of the area and animals, she was very enthusiastic about it as wel. She Kept her distance to the animals cause she respects them. Would recommend, also for a more personal tour and would come back for sure if we visit Tenerife again.

The trip is 1 hour but long enough. We saw many pilot whales in short but safe distance. The skipper is such open and friendly person with wide knowledge about area and species living there. We were lucky to see also a sea turtle on way back. Amazing experience! If you are looking for private, well-organised trip focused on watching these beautiful creatures it's perfect choice for you.

We booked this tour for today 8.9.22 after researching options and we had no regrets. We had the boat to ourselves 4 of us, very fortunate, we saw dolphins, two pods of pilot whales playing in the waters and on the way back a Turtle, which our daughter was desperate to see. The Lady who drove the boat was very knowledgeable with information to do with all the animals and was very friendly and helpful. We are so glad we chose this company as we had a whale of a time ! We hadden een tocht van een uur geboekt. In eerste instantie konden we de locatie wat lastig vinden door de drukte in de haven. Werden netjes op tijd opgehaald bij het hek van de pier. De tocht was een mooie ervaring. De boot was erg fijn en ook was het fijn om voor een kleine boot te hebben gekozen. De gids was heel aardig, sprak goed Engels en kon ons veel informatie geven over de dieren. Zij hield netjes de benodigde afstand tot de walvissen. Als we weer gaan, boeken wij een tocht voor 2 uur!

Booked a 2 hour boat ride with whale express and I can’t speak highly enough of them. At first I was skeptical at the prospects of a guaranteed sighting but later found out that Tenerife has a whale conservation around its western border. We saw a turtle within 15 minutes followed by multiple pods of pilot whales and it is surprising how close they are willing to get near the boat. Considering this to be a good trip we then made our way back to shore only to be greeted by a group of dolphins, roughly 5-6 chasing food. Very close sightings and an incredibly knowledgeable guide made this an experience to remember.

We didn’t want to go on one of these big “booze barges” with food and swimming etc. We just wanted to see dolphins, and Whale Express didn’t dissappoint! We took the 2 our trip and saw dolphins, lots of pilot whales and three sea turtles, one of which swam right up to the boat. The boat is an experience in itself, it’s fast and makes quite big jumps through the waves. We started in the front of the boat but my daughter of 6 got scared and moved to the back where it was much more relaxed. My son and a few other kids loved crashing through the waves though! The boat itself is well maintained, clean and comfortable. It has seats and a sun cover. The Skipper (Olatz?) seemed very skilled in handling the boat and knowledgeable about marine life. She was easy to understand in English, friendly and helpful. I’m no expert, but she seemed careful not to disturb the animals, keeping a reasonable distance, shutting off the engines, etc. All in all it was a great experience, much nicer to see these magnificent animals in their natural habitat as opposed to locked in a pool performing tricks for humans. Definitely worth the money and time, will book again when the chance comes around! One word of warning if you’re coming by car: it was completely impossible to find a parking spot nearby. Come early!

Had a great time with Whale Express Tenerife. Despite the choppy waters Olatz was able to get us out 3 miles off shore very smoothly. We booked the one hour trip and were able to see multiple groups of 3-4 whales and a handful of dolphins. Olatz was very nice and relaxed with the timing : on our way back, we spotted more whales and she made a detour to get us closer to the animals which extended the trip by a couple of minutes.

We had such a good time we came back a few days later. Great sightings both times, really friendly crew, useful information about the animals provided on the boat. We definitely recommend !

They are wild so we weren’t expecting to see them but were really lucky! Those guys are the best, they are very respectful to the animals, and care about they comfort - not to harm them or scare- nevertheless we saw a lot of whales very close and just near our boat. It was a great experience. The guide was very nice and she explained useverything perfectly and she is really implied in her job. We saw a lot of daulphins who swam with us and a group of whale. We spend 2h on the boat and in the first 30 minutes we've already seen daulphins. It was incredible..Whale express is really a great agency with great and nice guide.

We’ve done a boat trip previously on a larger boat but found this one so much better as the experience felt like you were much closer to the whales and dolphins. Santa was very knowledgeable about the whales and dolphins. Jesus was a great captain.

Santa was a brilliant host. Very knowledgeable and friendly. She was genuinely excited by everything we saw, kept a respectful distance from the animals and even stopped to collect plastic a couple of times. We saw bottlenose dolphins, Atlantic spotted dolphins, Bryde's whales, short finned pilot whales and three turtles! Would recommend the 2hr trip.

We had the most incredible 1hr trip with Santa and Jesus. Couldn’t have hoped for more - we saw a number of pilot whales and then went on to see dozens of Atlantic Spotted Dolphins. The boat is perfect for whale and dolphin spotting as you can get so close and move around to get the best views. Santa’s knowledge really added to the trip and we learned a lot. A real holiday highlight for me, my husband and our two boys. Would recommend wholeheartedly. Thank you!

We had the two hour trip earlier today and it was super fun. We saw bottle nose dolphins, a sea turtle, a jellyfish with a sail on its head, white spotted dolphins that gave us a real show jumping 2 meters and of course pilot whales. We even found a pilot whale individual named after Santa's son. Great experience on the sea and easy to book and pay via the website. Five stars easy.

Morgens gebucht, 16 Uhr ging es los. Alles hat reibungslos funktioniert! Wir hatten das Glück, dass wir die Tour quasi alleine hatten. So ist die Crew mit uns 2 aufs Meer gefahren. Wir haben Delfine sowie Wale gesehen, die teilweise nur ca. 5m vom Boot entfernt waren oder sogar direkt neben dem Boot mit geschwommen sind. Sehr eindrucksvoll! Die Fahrt war durch den Wellengang sehr wild, hat uns aber definitiv Spaß gemacht. Auch wurde unterwegs angehalten, um Plastik einzusammeln! Sehr empfehlenswert und lohnt sich vollkommen!

Nette Crew, sehr sympathisch. Aber 1h Tour hätte auch gereicht. Preislich okay, aber definitiv nicht günstig. Dafür ein Erlebnis auf persönlicher Ebene. Haben nur Delfine und die "Delfin-Wale" gesehen. Also offiziell kommen Sie ihrem Namen gerecht. Allerdings auch nur auf dem Papier. Ich bezweifle, dass man richtige Wale oder Meeresschildkröten sehen würde. Fazit: Erwartungen leider nicht erfüllt.

Great experience! Staff is super friendly and knows a lot about animals. It is better to take the trip in a smaller boat, like in the Whale Express, as all animals are closer and easier to watch and admire :) highly recommended!

Santa was extremely knowledgable and made sure we had time to see several species of whale and dolphin during the trip. The experience on the rib was great fun, and much more personal than a larger boat. The team made time to stop and collect rubbish and were very respectful of the sea. Would highly recommend!

We had a great time on our Whale watching tour with these guys. The booking process was easy and they called an hour or so before our tour to check whether we still wanted to go out as the sea was a bit rough although safe to do the tour. We went ahead as we only one day left on the island. The tour went ahead even though there was only the three of us so we effectively had a private tour. The sea was indeed a lttle rough but they clearly took this into account with the direction of the boat etc and at no time did we feel unsafe and it was actually quite fun bouncing over the waves. We were so lucky and saw a turtle, dolphins and pilot whales including one breaching twice which apparently is very rare. The team were very sensitive to not disturb the animals and also stopped to collect plastic waste from the sea. They were accommodating in asking if we wanted to go back in early due to the rough seas and our son feeling a little unwell but we stayed out a little longer and saw a few more whales before returning when we were ready. On the way back, they also pointed out a flying fish and the crabs on the rocks as we entered the harbour. A fantastic tour, I would highly recommend.

Es war eine sehr coole Tour, bei der wir Wale, Delfine und auch eine Schildkröte sehen konnten. Es wurde viel über die Tiere und das Meer erzählt und auf dem Weg immer mal wieder ein stop zum Plastik einsammeln eingelegt! Das Boot wurde bei der Beobachtung ausgestellt, um die Tiere nicht zu stressen. Jederzeit wieder!

We had a brilliant 1 hour whale watching trip - the perfect trip for younger kids (3 & 6). The kids loved the faster boat and seeing so many whales up close was incredible. Santa and Jesus were superb hosts - a wonderful experience. Highly recommend.

We have just returned from the 2 hour 🐋🐋🐳 watching. It's so much better riding in smaller, faster boats like these as they can move around far more easily. Saw loads of whales up close, some dolphin and flying fish! The guys were really friendly and knowledgeable. Thoroughly enjoyed and recommend.

The Tour was great and we've seen lots of Dolphins, Pilot Whales...When we spotted a Plastic Bottle floating in the Sea, they even stopped to catch it out :-) We loved every Minute and wanted to come back once more, but sadly there was no time left. Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Tour mit Jesus (Ich hoffe man schreibt ihn so) Es waren Grindwale so nah an unserem Boot, dass wir sie gehört haben. Wenn wir früher gewusst hätten, wie toll dieser Anbieter ist hätten wir alle unsere Touren hier gebucht.

Be careful. That do booking, and when you are on time you call them and tell you that that they need to cancel because they ocerbook. Only sorry from their side and I lost mor than hour. Customer expierience very poor.

Experiencia inmejorable. El trato fue magnífico desde el primer momento, nos iban explicando características de cada especie que nos encontrábamos. Antes de subirnos nos explicaron lo que veríamos y las posibilidades de encontrarlos. Vimos: delfines mulares, moteados, común y calderones tropicales. Destacar lo respetuoso que eran con el mar ya que daban la vuelta y paraban para recoger la basura que nos encontrábamos. Respetuosos a su vez con los animales: se paraban lejos y apagaban el motor y dejaban si los delfines querían acercarse pero no persiguiéndolos ni acercándose mucho. Repetiría una y mil veces. Gracias

Together with a six-year-old, we did a two hour tour and were lucky - we saw different pods of wales as well as dolphins. Our guide Santa was knowladgeable, communicative and very friendly, the captain navigated the boat safe and comfortable. The wales were not put under pressure and/or followed, which was a big plus for us in terms of sustainability and responsibility for the animals. All in all, highly recommended!

ABER: es werden leider gar keine Touren angeboten, die weit, weit raus fahren, wo man die (theoretische) Möglichkeit hätte große Wale (Pottwale etc.) zu sehen. Dafür bliebe nur privater Charter.

La pareja que nos llevó eran encantadores y nos explicaron detalles sobre los animales que vimos. Nos acercamos siempre de manera respetuosa y sin molestar a los animales. Al ser solo 8 personas en la lancha no hay riesgo por el tema del Covid y la experiencia es más cercana que yendo en un gran barco con mucha gente.

On Feb 2nd, 2021 we did a 2 hours trip with Whale Express. It was a small boat with only 5 guests. The guide was competent and very friendly. She told us a lot about the life of dolphins and whales which we saw out there. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience for me and they helped me to make it a truly unique experience. And they sent me excellent photo shots afterwards. Very kind!!

Wspaniałe doświadczenie, dzieci a my razem z nimi byliśmy zachwyceni widokiem wielorybów pływających tuż przy łodzi, dosłownie na wyciągnięcie ręki. Po wypłynięciu z mariny już po 15 minutach spotkaliśmy wieloryby i mogliśmy je obserwować przez resztę rejsu. Towarzyszyła nam bardzo sympatyczna przewodniczka, od której dowiedzieliśmy się sporo ciekawych rzeczy na temat wielorybów. Miła atmosfera, niezapomniane wrażenia, zdecydowanie polecamy!

Excursión de 2 horas con un buen guía. Vimos muy bien los calderones tropicales y delfines mulares residentes. Muy respetuosos con la fauna. Se aproximan despacio y dejan que los animales se acerquen al barco. Si no tienes cámara puedes relajarte porque te mandan fotografías que toman durante el tour.

We are a family of seven and did a one hour boat tour with whales express today. We loved every minute of it, in particular as we had never seen whales before! The whole experience was perfect from start to finish, and there is honestly nothing more they could do. Our guide (Poncho?) was amazing and so knowledgeable. He told us that he always ALWAYS sees them and he didn’t disappoint us. The whales came so close to our boat it was incredible, our kids were totally blown away. And the icing of the cake is that our guide took over 80 pictures of the whales that we saw and of our family watching them, thank you so much for those precious memories and incredible time!!

Nog nooit een review geplaatst maar dat is voor deze boottocht toch echt de moeite waard. Privé boottocht van 2 uur geboekt bij Whale Express. Al verschillende keren met een boot de zee op geweest in Tenerife, maar nog nooit zoveel dolfijnen van heel dichtbij kunnen bekijken. Ook grienden en zelfs een schildpad mogen aanschouwen. De kinderen hebben daarna nog genoten op de crazy ufo. Geweldig, een aanrader!

Wow! Wat een indrukken doe je op tijdens deze excursie! Drie verschillende soort dolfijnen gezien en een heleboel Grienden (Pilot Whales) zien zwemmen. Je zit met maximaal 10 personen op de boot, dus je hoeft niet te dringen voor een goed uitzicht. De gids, Santa, is zeer vriendelijk en legt veel uit. Zodra we dolfijnen of walvissen tegenkwamen, deed men de motor van de boot uit, zodat de dieren niet gestoord werden.

We had previously been on a dolphin trip in Majorca last year so when we booked for Tenerife & saw they did them I started to research companies that did trips on a smaller boat which we wanted (max 10 people). I found one but was very expensive so on our 1st day on the island we thought we would look out when we walked to Puerto Colon & saw the Whale Express sign. I checked it out online & was exactly what we were looking for + marine biologist to give us info + photos from the trip they take included in the price. I booked easily online paying via Paypal & received confirmation email giving details of where & when to meet. We did a test run from our hotel (Palm Beach) & took us 20 mins to gate 5. We had booked for Sat but I was ill so they let us change to Monday no problems. On the day Laura introduced herself as our marine biologist guide for the trip & from start to finish she was extremely informative about the Pilot whales & Bottlenose dolphins we were incredibly lucky to see - about how they survive & live in their natural habitat!!! This was a birthday present from my husband & it was our sons 18th the following day. This was a truely emotive, magical trip we would highly recommend that is worth every penny!!!
