I highly recommend this travel company when you are staying in the Malaga region! From start to finish, their tour exceeded my expectations and left me with memories I’ll truly treasure. One of the things that stood out immediately was the intimate group size, which allowed for a genuine and personal experience—something that’s often missing in larger tours. I’ve been on many tours around the world, but Emilio, my guide, is truly exceptional. His deep knowledge of history and culture brought every stop to life, weaving together stories that added so much richness to the day. Nerja was our first stop, a charming coastal town where history meets the sea. You can savor a quiet coffee while admiring the views—peaceful and picturesque. The highlight for me, however, was Frigiliana. This beautiful village, with its winding streets and rich history, became even more special thanks to Emilio’s thoughtful narration. As a solo traveler, I also appreciated his kindness in taking photos for everyone—couples, families, and even me. Traveling alone often means you return home with countless photos of places, but rarely yourself, so this gesture meant a lot. An unexpected delight was the visit to El Acebuchal, an abandoned village with a fascinating past. I won’t reveal its secrets here—listening to Emilio share its history, from abandonment to its present-day revival, was part of the magic. His personal connections in the village added yet another layer of authenticity. What made this tour truly unforgettable was how personal it felt. In fact, due to a last-minute cancellation, I ended up being the only guest that day, and what could have been awkward turned into a wonderfully engaging experience. By the end, it felt less like a tour and more like spending the day with a well-informed friend. If you love beautiful scenery, fascinating architecture, and a deep dive into local culture, I cannot recommend this experience enough—especially with Emilio as your guide. Be sure to explore the other tours they offer; they’re refreshingly unique compared to the standard options you find online.

This is a long overdue review. In February of 2023 one of the highlights of our visit to southern Spain was our day with guide from Travel Factory, starting from picking up at our hotel in Malaga. He drove us to a scenic hike along the coast in Playa del Cañuelo pointing out different sights and providing in depth information about the area. After our 2+ hour hike we continued on a scenic drive to Frigiliana, a gorgeous white hill town, and finished off the day in the Lost Village El Acebuchal and had the opportunity to meet with a local who is making the village come alive once again. Our guide chatted the entire day with historical knowledge as well as cultural information. He dropped us off at the end of the day at Castillo de Gibralfaro allowing us to make full use of our day!! I highly recommend the Travel Factory Andalucia for a magical experience.

This was my second day trip with Travel Factory Andalucia. Visiting Ronda and Setenil de las Bodegas from Malaga was very enjoyable - a small group of 7 people with a full personal commentary throughout and guided tour of both places, plus time to look around each town and soak up the atmosphere. Both trips were very well organised and ideal if you are travelling alone.

Nos encantó tanto el trato profesional y cercano de Emilio, como la preciosa travesía que nos preparó. Habla varios idiomas y no nos deja aburrir en ningún momento. Está muy preparado y documentado sobre los diferentes pueblos que nos llevó. Nosotras le damos la máxima puntuación. Nos sorprendió gratamente. Muchas gracias Emilio.

Hoy hemos realizado el tour a Nerja,Frigiliana y el Acebuchal. Nos han gustado mucho tienen un gran encanto y Emilio nuestro guia hace que vivas cada momento de una manera especial y te adentres en la historia de cada rincón ,nos ha gustado mucho sus explicaciones .Gracias

10/10 experience from Nerga, Fuengirolla and the Lost Village. The white villages at their best with a wonderful guide Manu and no need to care about anything. Manu is very enthusiastic and knowledgeable, he answered all of our questions, shared various insights and stories and showed us the best of the area, including hidden gems known only to the locals. A must go trip while in Malaga! Manu easily switched between English and Spanish during the tour, as our group was mixed, talked the whole day long... Respect! I appreciated the relaxed pace of the tour as well as the extra care from the guide for my current health condition. P.S.: We booked the tour via Airbnb.

We very much enjoyed our trip to Nerja, Frijiliana and El Acebuchal - our guides (our guide in Frijiliana was a local resident) were patient and very knowledgeable. The "icing on the cake" was the visit to El Acebuchal - if we go again, we'd definetly opt for a lunch at the (only) restaurant in town. This trip is well worth the $$$!

Outstanding tour operator! I booked for the tour of Nerja, Frigiliana and El Acebuchal and it was wonderful from start to finish. Our guide, Emilio, was friendly, knowledgeable, and fun. He shared lots of interesting facts and stories to keep everyone engaged. Each stop was interesting, and explained well, including expectations for timing. Prior to booking I inquired about a stop at the Nerja Caves, and they went out of their way to accommodate my request. I'll definitely reserve with Travel Factory Andalucia again!

Highly recommend booking with Travel Factory. I found them randomly online and the tour was a highlight of our week trip to Spain. We constructed a private tour for our family of 4 (2 adults and 2 kids) and felt we truly got an insiders perspective on the culture and history of this incredible region. The experience provided a richness to our trip I can't imagine we could have gotten elsewhere. If we had time I would do it all again!

This is the best tour company and tour I had while visiting Spain. Their prices are affordable, yet they offer a quality tour that rivals any pricey private tour. It is truly a small group tour that is customized to your needs as the day progresses. True local guides that give you tremendous insight and where you can ask questions and have conversations about things only locals would really know. I highly recommend this tour company. We traveled with a group of six to Nerja, Frangiliana and El Acebuchal.

My husband and I booked the "Ronda & Setenil de las Bodegas" Tour. We were only interested in visiting Ronda, but Setenil de las Bodegas was a nice surprise. The houses built into the cliffs were fascinating. Manu was both our driver and tour guide. He is knowledgeable, friendly, and truly enjoys meeting new people and being a tour guide. There was a total of 5 of us on this tour. He liked it when we asked questions and we enjoyed his enthusiastic answers. If you book this tour, I hope you get Manu!

Today my wife and I took the tour to Nerja, Frigiliana and Acebuchal...It was excellent. A semi private tour, just 7 of us. Our guide Juan was excellent, very informative, prepared, professional and friendly. The places were great, the experience was great. Highly recommend it.

This is not your average tourist trip - everything about our day with Travel Factory was totally unique. We were taken on a journey not just through historical sites but through the social and political stories that make up these really special locations. We toured in a small group, that meant we didn’t overwhelm narrow streets, could go at an easy pace and ask as many questions as we wanted. Our tour guide Emilio was so knowledgeable and just so passionate about the topics, the landscape, the towns and the people. He made everyone in our small group feel at ease, talked honestly and sincerely about his own connections to the region, was open to meeting the needs of the group. This made for such a relaxing, intimate and really immersive experience, where we went with the flow of the group, the day and the beautiful towns we passed our time in. If you are looking for something different, something authentic, local, Travel Factory Andalucia is definitely the one for you. These guys are changing the way we travel & tour. I cannot recommend the tour of Nerja. Frigiliana and El Achebuchal highly enough. A small group tour with only 8 guests was extremely relaxed, easy to hear our guide and able to be tailored to the group needs/pace. Our guide, Emilio, was extremely passionate about each and every stop on the tour, we were together for a whole day and he was enthusiastic, chatty and had such a vast knowledge of the local area and history. The tour was in both Spanish and English and it was clear that the passion and humor in his explanations was being delivered equally in both languages. It truly felt like we were being shown round by a friend. The tour touches on the history of the towns and hamlet you visit, how politics, religion, community and climate are or have shaped the land over time. Emilio's story telling builds and the stories and themes link each of the stops on the tour together. The pinnacle of the trip is definitely El Acebuchal and it's story of being abandoned for 50years, recently reinhabited and starting to be redeveloped. I don't want to spoil the tour for you so won't go any further but honestly highly recommended. Advice; take comfy shoes, a small snack, water, sun protection and a fully charged camera

Hoy hemos hecho la ruta de Nerja, Frigiliana y El Acebuchal. 7h de ruta y ha merecido la pena, con los guías Emilio, Manu y María José y aún así se nos ha hecho corto, muy ameno. Se nota que les encanta lo que hacen. 100% recomendable. Si volvemos a Málaga volveremos con ellos sin duda

Hoy hemos hecho la visita a Nerja, Frigiliana y el Acebuchal. Una experiencia totalmente recomendable tanto por los lugares visitados como por los guías que han mejorado sin duda la visita. Emilio nos acompaño gran parte del día y es maravilloso por su amabilidad, sabiduría y por las explicaciones que nos dio durante todo el recorrido. Una vez llegamos a Frigiliana nos acompaño María José igual de maravillosa que el anterior. En resumen una experiencia increíble.

He hecho con Emilio la ruta por Nerja, Frigiliana y el Acebuchal y ha sido súper interesante. Los conocimientos de historia y la pasión con la que Emilio nos ha mostrado la Axarquía, nombre andalusí de la zona, despierta en el visitante ganas por seguir buscando información. El trato exquisito con cada uno de nosotros, siempre atento a sugerencias y necesidades. Muy recomendable para quienes quieran conocer la provincia de Málaga. Repetiré con el tour de Setenil y Ronda y con el Caminito del Rey. 100% recomendable para unas vacaciones no solo de playa y toalla.

Pasamos un día muy agradable visitando Nerja, Frigiliana y El Acebuchal junto con Manu. Nos puso todo muy fácil y se nota que le encanta compartir los tesoros de su tierra. Subir a El Acebuchal es todo un acierto. La guía de Frigiliana fue también excelente. Recomendable al 100%.

Hice con Manu, un excelente guía, una excursión a Nerja, Frigiliana y El Acebuchal que me encantó. Manu busca que tengas una buena experiencia y un bonito recuerdo, así que no hay prisas ni ir corriendo, sino disfrutar sosegadamente. También piensa en las maneras óptimas para escoger la ruta que menos esfuerzo requiera, ya que Frigiliana es bastante empinada, aunque igual de hermosa que sus cuestas. El trato humano y personal son un plus en la excursión.

Me ha encantado la experiencia. Preciosa la ruta. Manu super encantador, no es lo típico, muy personalizado. Repetimos seguro!
