Andalucian Cycling Experience

I had an amazing week with Andalucian Cycling Experience. Everything was customized to exactly what I needed and wanted. They really bent over backwards when my luggage was delayed a day at the airport. All the arrangements were made ahead of time which made the traveling very easy and stress free. The hotel was fantastic and they shared some great dining recommendations. The cycling each day was great and the scenery was absolutely amazing. I really appreciated the personalized coaching and guiding each day. They have good quality bikes for rent and you can take your own shoes, pedals, and saddle if you want. I really built a lot of confidence in my bike handling skills over the week. I would definitely do this trip again and highly recommend it to anyone interested in cycling.

Our group of 5 did the self guided White Villages cycling trip though the Andalusians. It was spectacular. Ashley’s team supplied excellent e-bikes, well marked route maps, booked super hotels, and ensured our luggage was at our next location when we arrived. We couldn’t have been more pleased with the trip. Thank you!

Self-guided Sporting Tour (9 days) We enjoyed every pedal stroke of our self-guided sporting tour – absolutely stunning! Breathtaking landscapes, countless peaceful climbs, fresh mountain air, sunshine, hardly any traffic, and super-friendly people. The hotels were simple but spotless, with delicious breakfasts. All our wishes regarding route lengths and elevation gain were perfectly tailored. Transfers to and from the airport, as well as luggage transport from A to B to C worked out superb. Knowing that Ashley and Claire from Andalusian Cycling Experience had our backs in case of any emergency meant we could just focus on cycling and soaking it all in. What a truly memorable “bike more, worry less” adventure – the perfect way to end a fantastic 2025 season!

Nach der Kontaktaufnahme und Buchung via Internet trafen wir Ashley in unserem ersten Hotel in Ronda um die nötigen Infos zu erhalten. Insbesondere bekamen wir neben Ausgedruckten Infos auch die gmx daten für unser Bosch Ebike Navi. Die Auswahl der Hotels war gut getroffen überwiegend mittlerer Standard, hier aber wohl selektioniert. Das finale Hotel in Ronda schöner gehobener Standard. Aufgrund der perfekten Organisation und des unkomplizierten Gepäcktransports war keinerlei weitere Kommunikation während unserer selfguided Tour durch die weißen Dörfer nötig. Ronda, Grazalemma, Zahara, Via verde, Olvera, Setenil, back to Ronda.

This was my second time doing a 'White Villages' 5 day cycling trip with Andalucian Cycling Experience. The first time in Nov 2022 was with two mates. We had such an epic time I pitched to my wife and son (16) to do a similar trip in Sept 2025. Ashley and the team did not disappoint. I chose a hybrid bike as I was keen to do things the old fashioned way. My wife and son chose eBikes. We all had an amazing time. Great choice of routes and hotels by the ACE team. We loved the long descents, the beautiful villages, the epic views, the via verde (the vulture interpretative centre is worth checking out) and finding some great restaurants in the evenings. Highly recommend Ashley and the ACE team. Totally trustworthy and dependable. They are all over the details, the bikes and panniers are great, clear communicators, provide great guidance on the bikes and everything ran smoothly. I needed a bike swap out. No problem, no drama. We stopped for lunch at a village and Michael arrived in a van with a fresh bike and on we went. Howzat for backup? Reckon we'll do a 3rd trip with ACE in the future. This region is so beautiful and ideal for exploring by bike.

Good quality carbon bikes and easy going relaxed service. Nice day out with Ashley, again very accommodating as we had to make some slight adjustments due to my wife falling ill and so Ashley rejigged things so he could take me out. Initial bike for me was the wrong size but this was sorted out very quickly. Great service, friendly people. Thank you

Ashley, Drew and Michael were absolute troopers ensuring to the daily organisation, enjoyment, safety and fun that we all shared on our bespoke cycling tour of Andalusia (May/June 2025). There's no doubt that Claire played a pivotal role in attending to the many trip logistics and from an accommodation perspective, our selected hotels were worthy of the properties where I would have certainly received a double pat on the back from the wifey, should I have booked them on our holiday in southern Spain 👉🏼😉. A special mention to our stay at the Hotel Reina Victoria Rhonda where the blood red sunset presented that elusive “stop the clock and savour the moment” event, enjoyed overlooking the 6th century BC old valley from the warm of the infinity pool. ACE supplied Willier and Bianchi carbon fiber road bikes that were in like new condition and accurately sized/setup based on our individual measurements that we had earlier provided. The road quality was surprisingly good for such an old agricultural region of Spain but ensure to use plenty of sunscreen if you’re planning to cycle there during Summer as we experienced constant mid-high 30’s and a blistering maximum temperature of 41°C whilst we were there… Considering the diverse terrain and potential heat of Andalucía during Summer, I would recommend Andorra to less competent riders seeking a cycling adventure of Spain. That said, I would highly recommend that you reach out to ACE should you be seeking to tour Europe on a bicycle supported by a friendly company that can competently manage all the necessary logistics.

My husband and I just completed a 2-day bespoke tour as part of a longer honeymoon trip and can not say enough about what a wonderful experience we had. Not only were the routes stunning, but working with ACE was the best. We appreciated their strong attention to detail- everything from the tour packet with detailed descriptions of the towns and local recommendations to the impeccable shape they maintain their bikes. The hotel stays were wonderful. We so enjoyed learning about Ashley's background and the business at large. We definitely hope to be back on a longer trip in the future!

Had a most wonderful journey through Andalucia, taking in some of the most spectacular views you can imagine. ACE were incredible in helping us organise our bespoke tour and they went to great effort to accommodate our specific needs. Awesome trip.

Wonderful experience riding the white villages of Andalucia. ACE provided well maintained bikes that were comfortable and held up well to the demanding ups/downs of the region. Route recommendations (and GPS files) that avoid busier roads were very helpful in selecting rides for each day. Enjoyed staying in the smaller towns and seeing the diverse territory of the region. Overall, a very good experience with Ashley & Claire.

Our second guided tour with Andalucian Cycle experience. This is a first class tour company with excellent bikes, guides and routes. I would highly recommend them. They will accommodate to your cycling level and ambition. Cycling in and around Ronda is a pleasure with sparsely busy roads, fantastic scenery and excellent pavement. We will be repeat customers for sure.

We deden een fietstoer naar de Pueblos Blancos in Andalusië en beleefden een prachtige vijfdaagse. Naast het goede weer waren we vooral betoverd door de prachtige natuur en bloemen. Adembenemend. Andalucian Cycling Experience kunnen we zeker aanbevelen: uiterst professioneel, goed communicatie, leuke hotelletjes, nuttige tips en fietsen die piekfijn in orde zijn.

I have already been to many cycling regions in Spain and elsewhere and I must say that Ronda ranks really high amongst them: smooth tarmac, winding roads, a choice of longer or shorter climbs, courteous drivers... The 2* San Francisco hotel was also a pleasant surprise. Not to mention the friendly and efficient organization!

Ashley set up a custom 3 day ride for our family that was just perfect for our 8 year old. Everything was arranged well and the bikes were great. We will remember this trip forever and hope to come back for another trip in the future. Thanks Ashley and Claire!

I spent a week in Portugal with Ashley and Drew/Andalucian cycling experience and had a great trip! The bikes were new and high end. They took care of all the mechanical things - switching pedals, flat tire repairs - and led us through the winding roads of the city and country side. I couldn't have done this trip without their guidance and expertise. The hotel we stayed in was excellent - great location beach side - the food was plentiful and delicious. Even the airport transfer went smoothly and was all arranged for us. I recommend this company!

I had a great week riding with Andalucian Cycling Experience in Ronda. It's a beautiful area to explore, with good roads and lots of climbing. There was a lot of variety in the scenery each day and Ronda itself is a pretty town to be based in. Ashley and Drew were good company and excellent guides, adapting to my pace and supporting me each day. Organising the trip with them was very straightforward.

Our trip with the Andalucian Cycling Experience was nothing short of magical! Ashley and Clare, with their 20 years of expertise, crafted a holiday to remember, ensuring every detail was perfect from our first email to the moment we departed. The attention to detail, warmth, and support from the team went above and beyond. The bikes provided were top-notch—especially the Orbea electric bike my wife used, which allowed us to ride together "effortlessly". A special mention to our guide, Drew, whose daily support and invaluable hints & tips enhanced our experience beyond what we would have discovered on our own. Had we simply followed our GPS routes, we might have missed some fantastic insights! One of the best aspects of this trip was that it was centre-based—no constant packing and unpacking, just a chance to truly relax at a comfortable hotel and focus on the cycling. The team’s flexibility was also outstanding. They adapted to the unpredictable weather with great suggestions for rainy days and even provided alternative bikes when we decided to explore some tracks. Incredible, high quality bikes that are extremely well-maintained. Awesome local knowledge: cycling routes, road types, traffic issues etc and even weather patterns. Professional, and friendly with decades of cycling experience. Good communication. These guys know their stuff! Would use again in a heartbeat. An absolute recommend.

Claire responded to our request to book the Via Verde de la Sierra quickly and efficiently and Ashley arranged everything perfectly. The bikes were great and the transport service friendly and fun. We'll be back for more.

Self guided tour (with well designed gpx navigation and route cards) top quality , well maintained bikes provided - great hotels arranged - particularly the newly opened Hotel Palacio de la Dequesa in Ronda (luxury) - thoroughly recommended 😀

We had a lovely day bike tour through Andalusia with Drew, covering about 95-100km each day. Beautiful, hilly terrain, where we saw multiple quaint white villages. Drivers were very respectful of cyclists and overall the experience was wonderful. Drew was a very good guide - knowledgeable about the local area and culture as he has lived here for 10 years. We did choose eBikes because we live at the beach (flat!), even though we are avid cyclists. I think that was a good choice given the extensive climbing that this area requires and the distances we rode each day.

Andalucian Cycling Experience review My husband and I had a wonderful 5-day bicycling trip riding the white villages of Andalucia. Ashley created a perfect itinerary for us, riding on back roads, transferring our luggage and securing lodging at small, local hotels. We were very glad we opted to rent electric bikes due to the elevation between villages. We had both a GPS system and a paper map of each day’s route. We’ve never used a GPS system and it was great—beeping to notify us when we were off the route and helping to guide us turn by turn. Ashley was very helpful to us offering suggestions and input during the planning stage of the trip. Communication, both via email and phone conversations, was very responsive and helpful. When we pick up our bikes, Ashley took his time to explain all aspects of the bikes, the rules of the road of riding in Spain and was patient in answering all of our questions. Thank you, Ashley, for creating a memorable and delightful vacation for us.

October 2024 My wife and I first booked a multi day guided mtb trip with ACE just before the Pandemic and had to cancel at the last minute due to the global travel restrictions. Fast forward 4 years later and finally we made it to Spain, where Ashley and Claire were able to help us realize our dream to cycle in this beautiful country. We pivoted from MTB to their White Villages tour to get more of a cultural experience this time around, and the trip was fantastic! ACE put together a great itinerary based out of Ronda visiting many of the small villages. Daily distances and climbs were solid efforts for us as non-roadies but very doable with a range of 2 to 4 hours of actual riding time, punctuated by cafe stops along the way putting us at 4-6 hours of travel time per day, plenty of time left to relax and explore each new village we visited. Our well maintained hybrid Specialized bikes were versatile and reasonably light including racks and a single pannier each, and although we had a couple of unforeseeable mechanicals (a broken spoke; a problem derailleur shifter), ACE was quick and prompt with support and made sure we were satisfied and well prepared to continue our journey. We were provided with detailed cue cards with turn by turn guidance as well as a garmin preloaded with our daily routes, so navigating on our own was about as easy as possible. The hotel stays along the way were each unique, charming and well situated to explore the small villages. The people we met along the way were lovely and helpful and gave us an authentic feel for life in these villages. Ronda was a great base for the trip and we ended up spending a total of three nights there, and enjoyed it immensely, finding new tucked away corners of the city around every turn. ACE put a great trip together and we would definitely recommend them and use them again for future trips to Andalucia. Thank you!

e had the best experience riding with Ashley and Drew in the Andalusia area of Spain. We rode through the most stunning scenery and both guides were professional, friendly and assured that we made the most of our time riding. I would not hesitate to recommend riding with them and my friends and I hope to ride with them again in the near future!

Fantastic service from Ashley at Andalucian Cycling Experience, bikes were great and the area is fantastic for Road Cycling. Our group of 10 cyclists were really happy with the road bikes provided and we would recommend to anyone looking for a fantastic cycling experience in Spain.

Ashley and family provide excellent service and went beyond to help.We arranged bike hire remotely and were well size matched on out Wilier Triestina / Ultegra road bikes that were in excellent condition for a 4 day ride from Seville. They were able to assist with delivery and support with some good tips of places to include on the tour. Would recommend and do again, might consider a guide next time to see more of the Pueblo Blancos and get around some navigation bumps.

Ashley and Andalucian Cycling Experience worked with our family in June 2024 when we visited Ronda. They were hugely accomodating, given we have a wide range of cycling experiences and ages in our family. Ashley took the time to train both the inexperienced riders, giving them the technical skills and confidence to handle the terrain. He also worked with our teenage team competitive riders with the finer points of handling, racing, and pacing. Overall this was a fantastic experience. Ashley is a wealth of knowledge and the routes we rode were amazing. Would highly recommend!

We had an amazing cycling holiday with Andalucian Cycling Experience in May 2024. We stayed in Ronda, which is beautiful, at the Catalonia Reina Victoria Hotel. The hotel has spectacular views from the dining room, terraces, and pool; the breakfast buffet was great for fueling up before rides; and the accomodations were very nice. Ashley and the other guides we rode with were all great, and the rides were well chosen to fit the ability of our group. We were very happy with the bikes we rented as part of the package. Cycling in Spain is a treat - most of the roads are very smooth and motorists are very respectful of cyclists so it felt quite safe to be riding. We cycled 5 days, and each ride took us through different and spectacular countryside. It was stunningly beautiful! All the rides involve climbing and fun descents. We didn't use them, but e-bikes are available and might be a good option for some cyclists if you are travelling as part of a group with a very wide range of cycling abilities. Overall, we had a really fabulous experience.

From South Africa I organized a bike rental in Ronda. Right from the beginning communication was easy and fast. The road bike I got was a dream. Not one of these old ones you often get when you hire a bike, this one was like brand-new. The service was excellent. Beforehand they even provided me with gpx-files for tours starting from their shop. I can highly recommend Andalucian Cycling Experience.

In juni 2024 heb ik 1 dag gefietst op de MTB samen met Ashley en een gezin uit Amerika Daarnaast heb ik 2 dagen alleen met Ashley gefietst op de gravelbike. De MTB en gravelbike waren super goed en goed afgesteld op mijn lengte. De routes waren afwisselend in de buurt van Ronda en de uitzichten waren geweldig. Onderweg was er altijd tijd voor een gezellige koffiestop in een mooie toeristische plaats. Ashley hield onderweg altijd het niveau van de rijders in de gaten dit was heel fijn. Als je echt een keer wil gravelen is Ronda en omgeving een paradijs om dit te beleven. Ashley, nogmaals bedankt voor deze prachtige ervaring en jouw tips. Wellicht tot ziens.

Ashley and the team supplied us with great condition bikes, local knowledge of ride options and routes, everything we needed for road cycling. And, lots of other advice on local activities, places to go, including a post ride massage. Couldn't have helped us more. Highly recommended.

One of the best travel experiences we have ever had. It was an unforgettable week-long self-guided cycling trip through the white villages of Andalucia, Spain. The journey was approximately 200kms. The routes were ideal on roads with very little traffic, starting in Ronda and took us through the rolling hills of Andalucia. We saw endless olive groves, cork tree forests, sunflower fields and cycled through tunnels along the Via Verde. The bikes and equipment were excellent. We were supplied with all the information to guide ourselves, back-up was available if needed. Everything was very well organised. Thanks to Drew, Ashley and Claire for providing such a wonderful experience!

We had a great six day ride. Very good bikes (mix hybrid and ebikes). Good handy route maps and notes. Mostly avoiding main roads (unavoidable for short sections). Luggage pick up was perfect. Hotels good - three or four with pools!! In the planning phase ACE were very responsive about tuning lengths and climbs to suit - and there were a couple of optional extensions that we did too. Country-side was beautiful and varied according to altitude. Blossom. Sunflowers. Barley harvest. Wheatfields. Stunning escarpments. Etc etc. And some of the White Villages are amazing - with their churches, cathedrals and castles - and their rich history. Great coffees, friendly folk and of course TAPAS!!

Just back from a great weeks cycling in Spain with the kenilworth Wheelers. We based ourselves in Ronda, Andalusia and did day rides from the hotel. It was organised and led by Ashley from Andalusia cycling experience. It is interesting historic town with the famous bridge over the gorge, bull ring and lots of old buildings. The cycling is excellent, characterised by long climbs and long descents. Not too steep or technical so we had some fast long descents, hitting 50 mph. The area is very rural with a mixture of rock faces, forest and farm land. Lots of small picturesque mountain villages with all the buildings paint white and good cafes/restaurants. The one exception is Jazcar which is painted blue as it was used to film the smurfs!

Great guys, good organisation, good bikes

First time on a guided cycling trip (normally organise ourselves). Well worth it! Ashley was a great guide, local knowledge (roads and cafes!) and very adaptable in terms of route length, speeds and amount of climbing to suit the group made for a really enjoyable few days. Definitely recommend!

We loved it so much last year we came back for a return trip this year. Another fabulous week of cycling in a stunning part of the world. This year my husband and I both rented bikes. I rode one of the recently purchased e-road bikes which made the hills that much more enjoyable. My husband rode a standard road bike which was of a very high standard. The rides each day were tailored to the differing abilities of the group so nobody was made to feel uncomfortable which was really important. We rode on beautifully smooth roads with very little traffic which was a real treat. Ashley, Drew and Claire looked after us so well. This year we opted for one of the apartments rather than the hotel we stayed in last year which suited us well, it was a gorgeous apartment with everything we needed and a supermarket just around the corner. Ronda’s restaurants were another real highlight of the trip. All in all a fabulous week and I’m sure we will be back, perhaps a little earlier in the year to avoid the heat! Thank you all.

Four of us have recently returned from a four day self guided White Villages Tour . Ashley was very responsive to initial enquiries etc. when we were setting up the trip. The hotels we stayed in were excellent, the cycling ,scenery ,towns and villages we visited were stunningly memorable. We loved every minute and every aspect of the trip. Cannot recommend ACE highly enough. Thank you .

Ronda was beautiful and the cycling around It was like a fairy tale! Andalucian Cycling was awesome and got our group organized without me having to do much! We showed up and had a great place to stay and I rode some of the nicest bikes I've ever been on! Will definitely be back!

Fantastic 5 days of cycling. Drew was a fantastic guide and lead our group of varying abilities with great skill! Bikes were great, ride routes fantastic great restaurants to explore and nice hikes around Ronda.

We came over from Canada with a large group of 20 cyclists of varying abilities. We hired ACE to help with guides, bike hire, airport shuttles, accommodations and dinners. Albeit challenging just due to the area of cycling, our guides lead our groups over the course of a week on a different and amazing routes everyday. Our accommodations set up by ACE were in the most perfect location in Ronda, everything was so easy logistically for all the cyclists with regards to their cycling or simply the tourist time after the rides spent walking and viewing the amazing sites in and around Ronda. The dinners were the biggest surprise, Claire set us up with a different location/experience for each night and each restaurant did not disappoint. Whether you are a small group of friends or an organized camp of cyclists I would check Ashley and Claire with ACE in order to have an amazing stress free cycling experience.

I had a great week of cycling in the Ronda area guided by Jez from ACE. Ashley did a fantastic job of organizing all and was easy to communicate with, and patient with my many questions. The cycling is A++ especially if you like hills, very little traffic, and coffee stops with your rides. I was traveling by myself and felt very cared for and safe. Beautiful views, challenging hills, good food, fine bikes. Who could ask for more? Highly recommended.

I had a great week with Andalucian Cycling Experience. Decent hotel (hotel Polo) with very friendly staff and a great breakfast buffet. Road biked for 4-6 hours every day in mid-March 2024 doing up to 96km and up to 2,000 meter of elevation gain. Definitely challenged my abilities at 60 years old. Beautiful landscape and villages, great routes and Ashley, Drew and the rest of the team did an excellent job organizing and guiding us. The rental bike was great. I highly recommend ACE and will for sure return.

Cycled with Ash and Drew in the Algarve, Portugal last week. Great trip through our cycling club (TCR). Happy with the routes, coffee stops, top notch rental and all. We had a 55 km group and 80+ km group.

This was our first cycling holiday but won't be our last. We went on the leisure cycling experience in a small group of 6. Ashley was a perfect guide, responsive and very helpful and accommodating. We both started on hybrid bikes but my wife was able to upgrade to an e-bike for 3 days. Some of the cycle rides were to and from Ronda but we also got taken a bit further by van to get out into some beautiful countryside and mountain villages. The accommodation was perfect for us at the hotel San Francisco with a comfortable bed, a hearty breakfast to start the day and a sunny roof terrace to relax on at the end of the day. Thanks Ashley and Claire for arranging an amazing holiday!

Me and a friend had an incredible week cycling with Andalucian Cycling Experience. The routes picked out by Ashley and the team were amazing. Accomodation was also great. We travelled with our bikes but next time we would probably rent from ACE. Honestly cannot reccomend enough!

A wonderful week of TCR group cycling guided by Andalucian Cycling Experience (Ashley and Drew) in Algarve Portugal. Daily guided trips were well organized and thought out with pleasantly surprising but challenging routes. Safety was top of mind. Their local experience and knowledge added to a great experience with stops at some of the best local coffee shops. The rental bike provided felt better than my own! Being the British chaps that they are, they had a great sense of humour too. Would highly recommend Andalucian and hope to ride with them again.

Our club did a custom one week trip with Ash and Drew in the Algarve. The routes were well recce'd in advance and they were both very patient guides under some very trying weather conditions. Always a cheerful disposition and capable of working with a variety of riding skill and fitness levels. I would definitely take my family on a trip with Andalucian Cycling Experience next time.

Cycled for 3 days by mountain bike with Ashley training for the Cape Epic in South Africa in March. My experience was excellent: region is top, Ashley is an excellent guide and I could train with another a very nice bike fanatic! Highly recommended!

Fantastic company, used them for the second time to hire road bikes for the day. Ashley met us at the time we requested, gave us some cycling top tips, and his wife came to meet us as soon as we got back. Will always be using them when we visit the area! We did the same 100km ride we did before and would recommend - Ronda to zahara and grazalema and back to Ronda.

Espectacular fin de semana de bicicleta en los alrededores de Ronda con Ashley! Viajamos 7 personas, 4 adultos y 3 niños de 8, 11 y 13 años, los mayores con e-bikes y los chicos con bicis tradicionales. Ashley fue un gran guía, todo fue impecable, las bici, las rutas para que todo el mundo pueda pedalear juntos, la opción de seguir a la tarde en rutas más arduas para los que querían y el apoyo del van para volver a ronda para los que querían parar. Encima nos recomiendo restaurantes y vinos locales! Un gran fin de semana!

I've almost finished a perfect week's Gravel biking in Ronda. I'd recommend this family firm who are professional and can tailor the distance to your needs. The transfer to and from Malaga airport was seamless, the accommodation was clean modern and only a 5 minute walk from the bike shop. And the rides and gravel were great!

This was a fantastic cycling holiday and I'd recommend it to anyone. Really varied rides through stunning scenery with great coffee and cake stops. Ronda is an amazing base, breathtakingly beautiful with loads of food options. The self-catered accommodation is really comfortable, has all the facilities you could want, and is only a few minutes from the bike store. Ashley and the team were fantastic hosts and couldn't have done more to make me feel welcome and supported. A great introduction to the cycling holiday experience. I'd definitely go again.

I've just had a brilliant week in Portugal with Andalucian Cycling Experience. The cycling was excellent with a variety of rides, all tailored to what suited our group. Our guides, Ashley and Drew, were very flexible and supportive. The accommodation was very good, located next to a wonderful sandy beach with fantastic sunsets, and my fellow cyclists were all great company. All in all, a fabulous holiday!

I went on a 5 day Andalucian Cycling organized group bike trip in Nov 22. I had such a good experience back then I decided to give the family a taste this year. We are a family of four with two kids aged 12 and 14. We rented bikes for just a day. We did the Setenil Ronda self guided one day round trip. I cant speak more highly of the quality of the service and bikes. Ashely gave lots of tips and advise and went above and beyond to meet our continuously changing requests. One day rental is not a big business however Ashely still gave us the VIP treatment. Also, we just happened to bump into Drew (works for Ashley) in a Setenil café and he chatted with us offering great tips about the route back to Ronda. Andalucian Cycling is the best Team in town! I highly recommend them.

Mooie fietsenzaak dichtbij het station. Ferry heeft me heel fijn op weg geholpen. Uitgebreid de routes door genomen, wijze van bagagevervoer (2 tassen mogen lenen), en zadel naar wens. Ferry zet de puntjes op de i en neemt daar uitgebreid de tijd voor. Zodat je overdacht op pad gaat. Immers een hele week fietsen met hoogtemeters.

Our 5-day self-guided tour of the White Villages around Ronda, with Ashley and his team taking our luggages from point to point each day, was marvellous. Our bike and e-bike were in showroom condition and the accommodation, be it hotel or farmhouse B&B, all welcoming, with friendly hosts. Our favourite leg was Montellano to Setenil: a calm, sunny day when we were passed by a convoy of 200 scooters on the way to Coripe, enjoyed the delightful level ride along the Via Verde to Olvera station and marvelled at the views on the way to Setenil, where we found ourselves in a fiesta with acrobats, a fire-dancer and flamenco. Although the weather was less kind on other days, challenging us with strong winds and intermittent heavy rain, we thoroughly enjoyed our taste of Andalusia. Ashley and his team cannot be faulted for their friendliness, their attention to your needs and their preparation of the route. We will be back another day to see this beautiful area in the spring.

We rode for four days with ACE and stayed for 8 nights in the hotel that they booked for us. We were travelling as a group of 6 friends, each staying for differing lengths of time. Ashley and company were highly professional- a few specifics: 1) Hotel was well priced, excellent breakfast and had everything we needed. 2) Rental bikes were top notch and very well maintained 3) Ashley and his guides were very safety conscious- did safety briefing initially and then made a point of stopping and advising before any tricky area (e.g. hairpin downhills). 4) ACE did a great job of accommodating differing cycling abilities (speeds) and route preferences- split up with 2 guides when required. 5) It rained most of our week but they still took us out if we were game. 6) Guides Drew and Mitch were excellent- friendly and accommodating and safety conscious. I would highly recommend ACE if you want to cycle in Andalucia- they have many options including Ronda-based versus town to town with luggage support.

We had the best experience cycling with Ashley, Mike and Drew! They are top notch cyclists with great knowledge of the routes. They tailored the rides to suit our group and made changes when the weather wasn't cooperating. Really outstanding experience and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Ashley & Clare. They did an amazing job putting together a three & a half week custom, self guided road cycling tour for us. Communication was always prompt. Bikes were in excellent condition. The routes were easy to follow. I always felt safe. I had a long list of what we wanted & did not want - ACE delivered. I have now cycled in 29 countries & this trip is certainly in the top 3.

Ashley, Drew and Claire were great. They were easy to work with, arranged everything perfectly, were responsive and flexible. At the end of the trip my father joined using an e-bike provided by Ashley, which was a very nice way for us to ride together.

I used ACE to arrange four days of independent road cycling in the Ronda area. Ashley and his staff are highly professional, experienced in the region, and extremely accommodating to both individuals and groups seeking road or off-road cycling. The bike I rented was high quality and Ashley went out of his way to adjust it to my needs. He provided GPS routing for some beautiful and challenging rides each day. The hotel arrangements he made for me were comfortable and centrally located. All in all, a fantastic experience, and I look forward to returning and using ACE again.

Highly recommend this tour company. We took the White Villages Tour with a group of 13 friends. Ashley took great care of us in his planning for our group as we biked from town to town for a week. If you want to hire top quality bikes and receive a five star service then this company is for you. I made contact by email a few month before my trip and they could not have been more helpful with the advice on the area and provided me with several GPX routes to choose from. As they have lived in the area for almost 29 years their knowledge of the best routes for cycling is second to none. It was a pleasure to meet Ashleigh and Claire, they were very friendly and so helpful with setting up the bikes and providing advice. If you are considering a cycle holiday I would highly recommend this company and the scenery is absolutely stunning which resulted in this being the best cycling holiday experience that my group has ever experienced . I’m my opinion the overall rating is no less than 5 star.

Recently returned from Ronda, had some great rides. Ashly set me up with a wilier disc brake bike, which was fantastic for me, it came with everything I needed, and was set up perfectly. Ashlys knowledge of the terrain is superb, the scenery around Ronda is stunning. Great guys to deal with. For service and value ACE is the best by far. Already looking forward to the next time. A belated review of our wonderful White Villages tour this past Feb/March 2023. Let me preface this review by stating that I almost never leave reviews. I felt ACE was deserving of a review. My wife and I are late 50s (from US) with experience touring. Ashley and his team put together a fantastic week long tour - everything was precisely as promised. The length of days and routes were great for us with many really fun climbs, descents and spectacular views. Mileage and directions were spot on. Hotels were excellent and welcoming and our luggage was always in our room upon arrival. Ashley even went out of his way to kindly pick up our bikes in Benalmadena so we could finish our tour at my Aunt/Uncle's apartment! A sincerely wonderful experience from start to finish with Andalucian Cycling Experience! Thanks to Ashley and his team for an unforgettable week.

I had a fantastic experience with Andalucian Cycling Experience. I am an amateur road racer in the US and wanted a week of training before the spring season to improve my endurance and climbing skills (and of course to ride in gorgeous southern Spain). I rode with Andalucian Cycling for one week with Ashley. There were three other riders who signed up that week and we were able to choose from two pace groups each day. Ashley took us on a different route every day with lengths around 80-100 km and provided a great pace that wasn't too aggressive but also challenged us (he is an incredible cyclist who seems to never get tired!). We had one rest day in the middle of the week and all of the rides included at least one coffee / toast stop. I had such a great time on this week of riding and felt like it helped me become a stronger rider, especially on long climbs. I rented a Wilier road bike, which was comfortable and fast. Ashley also set me up with housing in Ronda, which was a beautiful, newly-renovated apartment within walking distance of the historic core of Ronda. Ronda is such a lovely town to stay in and has great food options, beautiful surroundings and few tourists (at least in the winter). I will absolutely return to ride with Andalucian Cycling Experience again and 100% recommend it to other cyclists who are looking to enjoy beautiful scenic rides, improve their fitness and become stronger racers.

A fantastic morning of off road riding with my 2 boys (13 & 8) with Ashley (owner) from Andalucian Cycling Experience. With a nice early start to avoid the worst heat of the day, we started off with bit of single track out of Ronda. Along the way Ashley gave us all little hints and tips on how to improve our techniques. My boys even enjoyed the slowest race ever (track stands). We then came back into Ronda with a surprisingly long downhill (didn’t even notice we’d climb that far) and enjoyed a little break with amazing views. Afterwards we disappeared into a wooded area where some locals have made some tracks down the hill. Again, more hints and tips on how to improve our skills and even managed to get myself airborne!! Ashley absolutely nailed our cycling standard and tailored our ride perfectly!! Both my boys and myself thoroughly enjoyed our time out with Ashley. Would definitely recommend Andalucian Cycing Experience to anybody coming down to the south of Spain!

What a great holiday, I took my grown up daughter on a 6 day trip with Andalusian Cycling Experience. The trip was very well organised; Ashley, the owner, arranged our itinerary to suit our needs. The transfer from the airport to Ronda was on time and Drew from ACE gave us lots of information. The bikes were new, and set up ready for us, one hybrid and one electric. We had chosen the White Village Tour, going from village to village with our bags transported each day. The bags arrived at each hotel before us and the directions for each day were absolutely spot on, easy to follow and very detailed. The directions also mention places to stop en route, favourite cafes, and tapas bars. Each day the route was on very quiet roads with hardly any traffic, great views and superb surfaces. The few cars that did pass were very considerate and gave a wide berth, better than any other location I have cycled. My daughter had not cycled much, and the electric bike was perfect, she could ascend all the hills without trouble. My bike had a massive range of gears and performed impeccably. We had chosen to upgrade our Ronda hotel at the start and finish of the holiday, this was excellent, great swimming pool, super views and great staff. A wonderful holiday, and I thoroughly recommend Andalusian Cycling Experience. Thank you Ashley, Drew and Claire.

We've just returned from an incredible cycling adventure in Andalucia, Spain, thanks to the outstanding efforts of Ashley and Claire from Andalucian Cycling Experience. The White Villages Tour was excellently organized, and we were provided with two el-bikes and two hybrid bikes that were perfectly fitted for our group, ensuring that everyone could enjoy the tour, including the hilly areas. Ashley and Claire's professionalism was truly remarkable in organizing the routes, bike fittings, and hotel bookings, as well as the transportation of our luggage. They left no stone unturned, ensuring that we could fully relax and soak up the stunning scenery during the tour without any worries. Overall, we highly recommend Andalucian Cycling Experience to anyone seeking an unforgettable cycling tour in Andalucia, Spain.

Four of us did the White Villages Tour in April 2023. It was excellent. Ashley is a great organiser and all aspects went smoothly from arrival at the airport to return again at the end. In between we hired almost new, top quality electric bikes and followed accurate route cards and GPX files to a series of very pretty white villages. The e-bikes were fabulous and enabled us occasional cyclists to cope with the hills - there are some decent climbs! All the hotels were happy to charge them at night. The hotel in Ronda is very well situated and all the others had swimming pools that were very welcome at the end of the day. There were no problems with the transport of our luggage to each hotel. Ashley's routes were well thought out and easy to follow. The road that takes you to 'Smurftown' (it really is blue) was a highlight (Smurftown itself was not a highlight!). An excellent tour that I highly recommend.

Wonderful cycling experience in Andalucía. We did the sporting tour on a self-guided basis for 7 days. The tour brought us from Zahara (a wonderful white village) to Ronda and then Antequera. At each location, there is a selection of routes from shorter to longer so that you can choose which one to do depending on your fitness level at a specific day. For each route, there are good recommendations for eating. In case of problems along the route, you can call them, and they will come with the van to help you. Excellent service, very responsive, very flexible. The routes in Andalusia are just perfect: very few traffic, tarmac in good state and marvelous views. The bikes provided were in a perfect state, very well maintained and excellent quality (we took the full carbon road bikes). If you want to cycle in Andalucia, this is the company to ride with!

Fabulous time cycling. My wife and I had a great two weeks with Ashley and Drew at Andalucian Cycling Experience. They took fantastic care of us. Some days we rode with the group and other days they gave us GPX routes. They gave us structure when we wanted it and an opportunity to explore when we wanted that. All the rides were beautiful, fantastic roads, well curated and well thought out. They provided short and long options. Very responsive. Set us up with a great hotel (Catalonia Reina Victoria in Ronda) and made our trip outstanding. Really liked Ronda as a location to be based, the drivers are courteous, and the roads are amazing. I would recommend without hesitation.

My husband and I just returned from a 5 day/6 night White Villages Tour with Andalucian Cycling Experience. The selection of routes, length of rides and overnight towns were spot on. We rented electric bikes from ACE that made the very hilly rides super enjoyable for us (we live in a area without any hills) but still enabled us to get a workout. All aspects of the planning, communication and implementation of the trip were handled very efficiently by Ashley. I would highly recommend Ashley and ACE for your next biking trip to Andalucia. Additionaly March was a fantastic time of year to ride in Andalucia. It was sunny and cool everyday which added to our enjoyment of the trip. Ashley had excellent restaurant recommendations as well.

I’ve just got back from a week long winter training camp with Andalucian Cycling Experience. Ashley and his team provided a floorless week of cycling. From the simple booking process, detailed joining instructions, airport transfers, well equipped workshop, fantastic self catering accommodation and that’s not to mention the best bit, the cycling! I completed five day rides varying in length from 90 to 115 km with daily average altitude gains of between 2000 and 2400m. Each day we encountered the stunning Adulucian scenery on smooth, well paved quiet roads. Malcolm our guide was an ultimate professional with his encyclopedic knowledge of the routes and local villages made for a perfect week. It was so perfect I’ve just rebooked the same training camp in six weeks time!

I had an amazing week's road cycling around Ronda with ACE. My whole trip was well organised so communication, transfers and accommodation were all excellent and I was well supported by my guide Drew who ensured I got the most out of my week. Stunning scenery, great roads and wonderful coffee stops. I can really recommend ACE and hope to return.

Awesome experience with a personalized winter training camp thanks to Ashley and the team. They arranged everything perfectly, couldn't have asked for a better way to explore Ronda and the surrounding area. Can't wait to come back in the future!

This was my 2nd trip with ACE. My 1st in 2017 was in Spring time with lovely weather. This time late January 2023 & it was very cold, never going above 9C & sub zero overnight. But the days were bright & sunny making for pleasant riding & enjoyable coffee stops in the sun. As there were only 5 riders and me being the weakest, Ashley decided I would have the luxury of having guide Drew, apart from 1 day, all to myself, Ashley taking the others. Drew soon had my measure & tailored my rides to suit a little above my ability making for demanding challenging rides in a stunning environment. Drew was great company and easy to get on with. My hired bike was not the best due to mechanical issues. My superb apartment in Ronda was just around the corner from the ACE depot. I would recommend ACE to anyone who is bike competent able to cope with the tough climbs and rapid descents. The only downside was airport transfers. Going out to Ronda on public transport is easy but you won’t make a morning return flight as the earliest bus from Ronda is 8.00am, which takes 2.5 hours to central Malaga, then another bus to the airport. ACE may not have availability to do the transfer & a taxi is 120 euros compared to the bus’s 17 euros.

Fantastic mini break. Great organisation from the call before I set off to check arrangements, to the collection at the airport, the bike, the group and the scenery - all spot I . I had an apartment which was clean, today and centrally located. Ashley and Clare know their part of Spain and how to look after their customers. Will definitely go again.

The perfect bike rental experience. Spent 3 days riding unbelievably beautiful loops from Ronda. Bikes were brand new and excellently maintained. My wife and I are New Englanders, in our 60s and recently biked the White Village Tour with Andalucian Cycling Experience. We are casual cyclists and have previously biked in Italy, France, and Ireland. We love bike trips as a way to see a country, or more accurately, a small part of a country, slowly, thoroughly, sample the region's food & wine, all while pedaling through beautiful countryside. The daily mileage was reasonable with some challenging hill climbing. Route selection was excellent and most roads were exceptionally quiet. The selected hotels were outstanding and typically exceeded our expectations. The selected hotels were outstanding and typically exceeded our expectations. A great hotel in a charming village is a nice reward after a day of cycling -- finding your luggage delivered, swimming in a pool, having a glass of wine or sangria, enjoying the views of the countryside or walking the cobblestone streets of the village. While our favorite village was probably Grazalema, we also loved Zahara de la Sierra, Setenil de la Bodegas and Olvera. We were also happy with our choice to spend two nights in Zahara which allowed for a more leisurely exploration on the off-day to see the town and the historic keep high above the town. In summary, we absolutely loved Andalucia - rolling landscapes with impossibly beautiful & ancient villages perched high on rock outcroppings or mountaintops, superb tapas, seafood, paella, and great wine, welcoming people, and excellent accommodations -- all expertly put together by ACE/Ashley. Ashley was excellent in handling logistical details and communications. We highly recommend this bike tour and ACE.

I returned to ride with ACE late October to test my fitness and to enjoy the sun, majestic mountains and time away from the mundane grind. It had been exactly a year since my previous trip and Ashley quickly caught on that I wanted a "training" week. Oh did he ever deliver! We did epic, challenging rides each day that took us to adorable mountain villages on pristine, quiet roads. What a phenomenal opportunity to practice one's fitness, cycling skills and Spanish! I stayed at a pristinely kept apartment and rented a carbon bike with disc brakes from ACE instead of trying to make my own arrangements. Staying in Ronda made for hassle free and fun stay. 100% worth it as everything was perfect (I'm fussy...). Hasta pronto!

This is our third visit with ACE over the past 6 years so that says it all really!  There is so much to enjoy:  From the varied and flexible routes, attentive but relaxed guiding and great hire bikes.   The Rhonda office is well located opposite the railway station. The Ronda area offers magnificent scenery, stunning white villages and smooth roads –  those factors, combined with Ashley and Drew’s excellent company, is the reason we keep on returning.  ACE also took good care of our hotel and restaurant bookings.  My recommendation is …… don’t hesitate – you will have a wonderful time!

Ashley is a great host with fantastic local knowledge. He and Drew guided us though beautiful scenery to lovely villages and challenging climbs. The whole process was easy from booking to riding. The apartment was perfect and clean with space to build and store our own bikes.

Great walking in the Sierra De Los Pinos

I spent one week cycling in Ronda with ACE in September 2022. It’s an amazing experience: beautiful landscape, smooth paved roads with rolling hills and climbs, white villages in mountains and valleys, olive and chestnuts groves, national parks covered with acorn trees, AND kind and patient drivers who respect cyclists! Communication with Ashley of ACE was easy and effective. Drew, the guide, was fun to ride with - I just wished I could climb as well as him!! Accommodation in Ronda is centrally located and convenient for everything needed by a traveller. Highly recommended for anyone who loves cycling!

Had a fabulous cycling break in March which introduced me to the beautiful Andulcia region, its scenery, striking hilltop-villages and quiet roads. Drew and Malcolm were excellent guides and gave plenty of encourgement (needed on some of the climbs!), which really kick started my training this year. The accommodation was excellent in central Ronda, close to all the restaurants and sights. Ashley, Claire are really helpful and friendly. Very impressed with the whole experience and suprised at the range and quality of the routes.

Wonderful tour through the white villages of Andalucia. Everything worked out really well, Airport transfer, introduction, luggage transfer and especially the hotels. Everyone was really welcoming and the hotels had everything you need after a bike ride in the sun. The self guidance on the tour was no problem.

Highly recommended. I did the White Villages tour - conditions were basically perfect for cycling, with excellent routes, majestic scenery, enough climbing for a good workout but nothing crazy, and light traffic on most roads. Accommodations were excellent, several surprisingly so given the affordable price of the tour (especially as a solo cyclist - the solo surcharge was very reasonable.) Ronda is a perfect launching point. Good communication from the team and overall a great, no-fuss experience. Thanks!

We just finished a wonderful cycling adventure with Andalucian Cycling Adventures(ACE) through the Andalucian “white villages”. Great new bikes, fitted before we started, carried us along challenging, yet stunningly beautiful, planned routes on our self-guided tour. The hotels were excellent and accented by proprietor-operated personal attention. Generous breakfasts, cultural stops and info about where to dine was all part of the package. We’re coming back and highly recommend this operator.

Outstanding Rental! I've been working in the cycling industry for ten years so I feel as though I can tell a great shop apart from others. This is one of those great shops, as well as some of the best roads I've ever ridden. The bike I rented was perfect and the ride recommendation was no different.

Lovely routes well chosen to show off the scenery, local towns and good fun chatting with the guides. Loved the Via Verde cycle, a really special route. Experience of a lifetime! We did the self guided pueblos blancos tour as a family. Ashley was fantastic from first email inquiry. The routes, the bikes, the accommodations and recommendations were all fantastic and spot on the entire tour. This was our first cycle trip as a family, and we weren’t entirely sure what to expect but it truly was incredible and we certainly plan to do another ACE tour in the future! There are some challenging but rewarding climbs, super fun descents, and just lots of great riding. One of my worries going into the trip was traffic, particularly with our son (11). While there are a couple busier sections these were totally fine and the vast vast majority of the trip is on lovely extremely quiet country roads or the via verde. Thanks so much Ashley and ACE for a truly wonderful time.

Ashley and the team are just brilliant. They organised the whole thing for us - transfers, accommodation, bike routes, and even restaurant recommendations in Ronda. Cycling with Ashley was great - he’s super fast up and down those mountains but he never abandons you. As someone who has never cycled abroad, much less up mountains, I felt very looked after and climbing Las Palomas a personal achievement. Can’t wait to rebook!

Just returned from a great trip to Ronda. Fantastic cycling with Ashley and Drew - quiet roads and considerate local drivers, good mix of routes. Ronda great location as a base too - stunning and loads of plenty of places to eat.

A small family run firm so you can be sure of flexible, personal attention. It is reassuring that there is someone on the end of the phone should you have any difficulties. Ronda is a beautiful spot to spend time off the bike and the surrounding scenery is spectacular and surprisingly (to me) varied, each day had a distinct character. My second and hopefully not last trip with ACE.

A perfect cycing holiday! This is our second time cycling with Andalucian Cycling Experience and is our favourite destination. The guides Ashley and Drew are not only knowledgable of the route and terrain but also of the local culture and wildlife. They effortlessly look after the group they are guiding and make sure everyone is challenged appropriately. The roads are of good quality and the drivers courteous - Andalucia really is cycling perfection! The location of Ronda offers plenty of options for refulling after a days cycling and there are also lots of options for walking if you have any energy left over from a day in the mountains!

The whole experience was awesome. This company is top notch. We do a lot of touring on bikes and this is one of the best companies we have used!! We are older folks (69/70) but in pretty good shape, based on Ashley's recommendation did the White Villages Tour with e-bikes. The bikes were high end, good instructions, Specialized LEvos, fantastic bike, but you still need to be in shape as it is peddled assist, no free ride! The accommodations were really great. Best of all Ashley was available when we got a bit lost to put us on track! This company tailors everything to your ability and wants to make it work for you, You can really trust these people. Plus it's a beautiful way to see the real Andalucia !

Was ok, I was expecting a more maintained bike but it did the job. Also a bit of hassle picking and dropping of the bike as the shop is not open all the time and you need to communicate beforehand.

I'm one of many clients who keep coming back to Andalucian Cycling Experience. Claire and Ashley have a brilliant business that caters for all levels and types of cycling. I've previously always brought my own bike but this time, having been lucky enough to be able to squeeze in a week's road cycling at short-notice and rather than travel with my bike admidst all of the other complications of travelling in Covid times, decided to hire one from ACE. These are all fitted with compact chainsets and 12-32 cassettes. This is really important due to the "undulating" nature of the area :) So if you do bring your own bike, keep that in mind when considering gearing. I flew Ryanair direct from Glasgow to Malaga and then took the option of a transfer from Malaga Airport (around 1.5 hours), with a supermarket stop on the way to stock up on provisions. One of the things that never fails to impress me is the patience of the local Spanish drivers and the respect they show to cyclists. The roads around Ronda are normally pretty quiet and the routes chosen are mainly on back roads, however there are times when it's necessary to ride on faster-moving, busier ones. As well as the UK, I've cycled in Italy, France, and more "touristy" places such as Gran Canaria and Mallorca, and have experienced a lot of bad driving. It couldn't be more different here and it's one of the big selling points of coming back year after year that regardless of the route it's always relaxed and friendly. As of 2022 ACE will be based in the main town of Ronda. For my holiday it was in the usual small white village of nearby Montecorto. Whilst it makes perfect business sense to relocate to a bigger town and provide more accommodation and amenity choices (particularly fonr non-cycling partners), I've always loved the peacefulness of Montecorto and will miss staying there. On this occasion I shared a large house with another client which had all the modcons you'd expect. Although the weather was still dry and sunny, the December temperature meant that the swimming pool wasn't ventured into (not even for post ride recovery!). Although it's self-catering, ACE organise a couple of evening restaurant visits. These are entirely optional, with absolutely no pressure on those that would rather get an early night, but they provide a welcome break from cooking and a chance to sample the local tapas. Personally I hope the move to Ronda doesn't make ACE *too* successful :) The place is a hidden gem for cycling and I'd hate for it to become another Mallorca or Calpe where every cafe is overrun and prices are high. The fact that ACE are still going strong despite the massive impact of Covid on all businesses is a testament to the dedication of Claire and Ashley along with all of the other people who help keep it going. I can't recommend ACE highly enough and I'll definitely be back!

Beautiful tour on the Via Verde de la Sierra in october. Already booked several times and always fully satisfied. Highly recommended for all ages, especially also for families. Out first Multi Day bike ride and it was perfect!

We had an excellent trip with great service from Ashley throughout. I'm not sure what happened to the initial review score entry (that was not correctly entered or recorded for some reason) but Ashley looked after us really well. I would be delighted to recommend Andalucia Cycling Experience to anyone looking to have a great bike from a great company.

I had my second holiday with Andalucian Cycling Experiene in the beautiful village of Montecorto, Spain. It was a great week and Ashley and Drew were wonderful; the routes are wonderful and the Drew was so accommodating in that he would take us on the routes most suitable and there was always the option of having a longer day on the bike. It is a unique training camp in that Ashley and Drew are out for the day with the riders and they will always accommodate those that want more challenging longer rides; unlike some training camps that I have been on where the leaders want to be back by 2pm. The routes in the areas are really good, but challenging and we cycled through beautiful villages and lovely coffee and cake shops. I would highly recommend Andalucian Cycling Holidays and thank you to Ashley and Drew for a great time.

Had two great mountain biking holidays with ACE and already booked our third trip. Accommodation guiding and riding can't be beaten, thoroughly recommend this holiday.

Charged 40 euros for a scratch. Hard cheap saddles on hybrids so recommend padded shorts.
