We Love Malaga - Historical Walks & Food Tapas Tours

My wife and I had an incredible 2.5 hour private tour of historical Malaga with our tour guide Paco. We felt like Paco was the mayor of Malaga as everyone knew him. We toured the Alcazaba, the Malaga Cathedral, the Roman theater, and the beautiful gardens surrounding Malaga. At the end of the tour Paco took us to an incredible Tapas restaurant. We highly recommend We Love Malaga tours and our guide Paco.

We had a truly interesting walk with Paco. He knows his city so well and describes it with passion. It was a wonderful introduction to the city. Paco was kind and seemed well known wherever we went. Highly recommended.

My family and I took a two week trip to Spain and Portugal, visiting many cities along the way and doing countless tours. I can easily say that this was the best tour we took on our whole trip and one of the best experiences we have ever had on vacation!! Victor was extremely personable, energetic, friendly, has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to Malaga, clearly loves his city, and is passionate about his job. The food we ate was delicious (best we had in Spain) and it was just a fantastic tour overall. An added bonus is that Victor is a great photographer and took incredible photos of my family and I in some of the most picturesque areas! I would do this tour 100 times over if I could and highly recommend for anyone visiting Malaga. You will not regret it!

Visitamos la Catedral, la Alcazaba de Málaga y luego hicimos un tour de tapas el cual también nos encantó. Probamos platos típicos de Málaga con productos locales y frescos. Víctor hace todo lo posible para que todo el mundo esté cómodo y adapta el tour a las necesidades de cada uno. También tuvimos la suerte de conocer a su padre y hermano quienes también forman parte de la empresa y son verdaderamente encantadores. Very well organized tapa tour from the booking to the end. Paco the guide is a living legend, that's all I will reveille. The tour is worth every cent. Wait till the end....it was the best place on the tour.

Such an amazing tour, Paco is an excellent guide who shares all of his knowledge of Malaga so well. Great variety of food and wines and a brilliant way to see the city. Would recommend this tour early in your trip as Paco points out great places to visit.

Die Tapas Tour mit Paco- sehr informativ mit kulinarischen Kleinigkeiten und genügend vino tinto. 😅 Ich kann diese Tour weiterempfehlen 👌🏼.

We had a great tapastour with a great guide Paco. He showed us nice places and learned us what real spanish tapas are and how to eat them. Also the communication before is good organized.

Hands down the best tour guide I have ever had. Victor is a well of knowledge and the way he takes you through everything doesn’t come across as scripted, like other tours I have been on. He had a way of making it conversational while tying in pieces from the group members as well. His passion and pride for his city really showed through his words. The mix of beautiful historical buildings with restaurants, wine and tapas was perfect. Victor also had plenty of surprises for us along the way. By the end of the tour I felt like I had gained a friend and a love for Malaga.

Hard to find enough words to convey what a wonderful time we had on this small group tour. We were led by Paco, who I believe to be the father of the owner. He has a great attitude towards life that he shared with our small group as he took us to a market for a food tasting followed by a few sit down tastings. The last one had a traditional sangria that was out of this world. Would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Malaga.

Was für eine tolle Tour. Wir, eine Gruppe von 14 Personen, haben zwei Touren gebucht. Einmal die Tapas Tour und einmal die klassische Stadtführung. Die Kommunikation war zu jeder Zeit sehr professionell und schnell. Bei der Tapas Tour hatten wir viel Spaß und auch war die Auswahl der Kneipen / Restaurants sehr gut. Das Essen / die Tapas waren sehr schmackhaft. Wir wurden vom Hotel (haben im Malaga Premium Hotel übernachtet) abgeholt. Auch die Stadtführung hat sehr viel Spaß gemacht. Ich persönlich finde es wichtig ein wenig Informationen über eine Stadt zu bekommen . Vielen Dank an Viktor und sein Team

We had an absolutely wonderful tour with Damian. He was very friendly and well informed. Offered to take numerous photos for us and made our children feel welcome. We left feeling like we made a friend. Would highly recommend going on any of the tours they provide.

This was a really lovely tour which was made special by our excellent guide Paco. The whole experience was as much about Paco himself as about the food, he is first rate company. He brought us to three different restaurants which were off the beaten path and all were superb, great food and wine. The tapas sampled were totally superior to the run of the mill stuff being pedalled on the tourist trails. Paco is not just wise about Malaga and the food, he is wise about life, a true gentleman who is passionate about what he does.

Unbelievable tour. Very patient with our baby. Very kind and knowledgeable. Excellent foods and even a couple extra stops for advice and recommendations in the food market. Would do again in a heartbeat.

This was the perfect tour to introduce ourselves to Malaga. Our guide, Victor, was extremely knowledgable and very friendly. The tour around the city was beautiful. The sites and the history shared was captivating. And the food was fabulous and plentiful! This tour far exceeded my expectations!

This was a great start to our trip to Malaga and one of the highlights! Paco is an excellent guide, you an tell he really enjoys what he does and is a lovely guy to boot! Our flight was also delayed by a couple hours so it meant we were running late but this wasn't a problem for Paco who was happy to wait and then help us relax and destress from all the rushing about. The variety of tapas locations was great giving a really nice sample of the different styles and taking us places we would never have found or tried on our own (We even went back to one on our 2nd night). We were kept well fed and watered with plenty wine and Paco kept us entertained and we got some history of Malaga too. Overall we had a great time, it was well worth the money and I would highly recommend anyone visiting Malaga for the first time book a tour with these guys!

Damián guided us fantastic throw the three hour tour. He was puntual from the beginning till the end of the activity. His way of managing the tempos in every stop to taste things or in every cultural explanation was very accurate and without any rush. He was very well prepared in the history, culinary and building topics from Malaga (English level excellent). You could tell that he enjoyed sharing his knowledge and explaining curiosities about his city. Highly recommendable because it gives you a very wide (quick) view of the most important in the heart of Malaga City Center;)

Had a lovely tour with Paco this morning! We booked the day before and the tour was quickly and easily confirmed via email. We arrived at the meet up location and found Paco very easily. We did not book a private tour, but we’re the only ones to book. No problem, we still had an amazing tour. Paco was very informative, gave us great information, even managed to take us into the cathedral even though it was Sunday. Answered all of our questions and even took pictures for us along the tour. I loved that this was a small company and offered a more intimate experience vs. some big companies and large group tours. Would definitely book again and recommend to friends and family. We are returning next year for a family wedding and will add this experience as an option for other wedding guests. Thank you! Even took Paco up on his recommendation and went to Los Gatos for tapas after our tour!

There were two of us who booked the Ultimate Malaga History & Tapas tour with Damian as our guide for the day. Damian is super personable and easy-going. He kept a very even pace on the history portion of the tour, with commentary, stories, and pauses in all the right moments. Because of Damian, we were able to skip the line to enter the sites, and this is a great benefit when it's raining (or hot). For the tapas portion of the tour, we sampled a variety of wines and foods from two local places. One place was funky and cool with a lot of history, and we were able to go behind the bar to select the pintxos we wanted. The other location was a vinoteca slightly off the beaten path and popular with locals. It has lovely decor, a chill vibe, and a very helpful sommelier (Julian). Damian also gave us a list of recommended places to visit and experience for our next visit. We definitely recommend WeLoveMalaga.

Damien was awesome! We decided to do a private food and wine tour and it was better than expected. Very knowledgeable guide that took us to places we would have never discovered. You will not be disappointed!

If you dont know who you want as your guide in Malaga then book a tour with welovemalaga. They are the best. Victor is the most friendly easygoing tourguide. This organisation is so flexibel and takes you to the best places, you also will eat the best or they tell you where the best restaurants are. I've booked 2 times and every time it was absolutely fantastic. We went for the walking tour and the wine and tapas tour, streetart tour included, special request. Victor tells a lot about the city, and all you want to know, never boring. We finished with a cocktail on the rooftop of the Marriott Hotel. Great view. A lovely guide showed some stunning scenery and told us the history in short but great detail. The cathedral and castle were the absolute highlight definitely would recommend this experience to others Mucho gracias Paco

We have just had a second Tapas tour with Paco six years after the first which says a lot for what we thought of it the first time. We weren't disappointed. Another superb evening littered with many historical facts about Malaga and it's buildings, a variety of delicious traditional Spanish tapas dishes washed down with some lovely wines all in the company of the delightful Paco. Would highly recommend for any visitors to Malaga looking to learn a little about the city whilst enjoying great company and food.

Outstanding tour!!! We did this tour with Victor and we couldn't be happier! We took the private option of the Ultimate Malaga tour that included a visit to different sights as the Cathedral and the Moorish Fort, all skip the line, followed by two wonderful stops in different tapas bars. We also found the prices very affordable. We cannot recommend enough this tour. Now We Love Malaga too

Myself and my daughter did the 'Gourmet Tapas' with Viktor. He was spot on time at the meeting point which I appreciate. Viktor was full of knowledge and informed us of interesting facts and historical stories of the town. The tapas were plentiful and we had some lovely wines too. My daughter doesn't drink alcohol but he made sure that she had some special non alcoholic beverages. Viktor was very friendly, fun and interesting. I would highly recommend this tour, it was well worth the money 😉

Antes de venir a Málaga no tenía ni idea de la riqueza histórica que tiene la ciudad, hemos disfrutado de la compañía de Víctor con amigos un sábado por la mañana fue ESPECTACULAR una visita MUY interesante. Víctor sabe transmitir todo el amor que lleva por su ciudad y nos ha hecho viajar a través el tiempo. Un encanto,.....Me llevo bonitos recuerdos para Barcelona y mucho por contar a todos mis amigos!

Damien gave us a great tour of Malaga. He combined a lot of the local history with some of the more modern aspects and showed us a bit of both. The tour included both historical sites and relevant cultural sites including the local market. Damien was extremely knowledgeable about the history of the city as well as the current political culture. We really enjoyed the tour and would recommend it.

My friend and I booked the 3hours food walking tour and it was great! Paco, who is such a nice and attentive guide, took us to many different places where we could taste delicious food. We especially liked the food market. I highly recommend this tour!

Victor took us on a fabulous tour around Ronda and to a Bull ranch! He is the best tour guide I've ever had as he is so knowledgeable and passionate about the history of Ronda and he knew everything there was to know. He dedicated a lot of time to us and took us to a lovely restaurant where we had a delicious lunch. Victor also took us to the secret places of Ronda, the 'hidden gems' where there were no other tourists. It felt very special and we were lucky to have such an amazing and knowledgeable tour guide to show us things we would of never of seen ourselves! Thank you Victor at We Love Malaga!

We enjoyed the 3 hour tour and appreciated that it was private and included our kids. Felt we could have done a similar tour on our own and the price was a bit high for what we ate and would have like more of a food history.

I had a amazing experience with victor on the food tour. I think it's probably the best food tour that I have taken. Victor is so knowledgeable and passionate about Malaga the city / history and of course the food. We started at 10am and finished at 2pm the quality of the food and the places that we visited are all super local and you really get a feel for the city through its amazing produce. For me the best part was the market we tried so many amazing foods and the quantity was enough even for the biggest of eaters. I think what makes this tour different to others is the history that victor brings to the tour as you are walking from place to place he explains everything to you in so much details and we even had a few detours as we see some new places opening he seemed to know everyone in the city. It's a truly great experience and you won't be disappointed or hungry at the end.
