We used Your Trip to Spain and Portugal to plan our 25th wedding anniversary trip to Spain, and it was honestly the most incredible travel experience we’ve ever had. From the moment we landed to the moment we left, every single detail was taken care of so thoughtfully that all we had to do was enjoy ourselves. We started in Barcelona, staying in a beautiful boutique hotel in a perfect area. We had private guides and a driver throughout the city, and our favorite experiences there were a relaxed bicycle tour and an amazing scuba dive along the coast. We visited the major landmarks—La Sagrada Família, Park Güell, the Gothic Quarter—and every moment felt curated just for us. From there, we headed to Seville, where the team arranged one of the most memorable activities of the entire trip: shopping at the local market with a chef and then cooking a traditional meal with her in her home. It was such an authentic, intimate experience. We also had a flamenco lesson before seeing a live flamenco show, and learning the history and emotion behind the dance made the performance even more special. Our tours around the Alcázar, Plaza de España, and the historic neighborhoods were all private, perfectly paced, and full of great stories. On our way to Granada, we stopped in Ronda for a beachside picnic with a gorgeous view—it felt like something out of a movie. Granada itself was breathtaking, especially with our private tour through the Alhambra and the Albaicín. Again, the accommodations were beautiful and in the best part of town. Finally, we took a comfortable train to Madrid, where we toured the Royal Palace, the Prado, and the vibrant neighborhoods with yet another wonderful private guide. Every city felt effortless because transfers, tours, and timing were coordinated so smoothly. What really sets Your Trip to Spain and Portugal apart is how responsive they were—anytime we had a question or needed anything, they replied immediately and took care of it. We worked with Ana Calvera at YourTriptoSpain&Portugal to plan a 14 day trip from Barcelona to Alquezar to Larrede to San Sebastián. It was fabulous. Every detail was planned and executed flawlessly by Ana and her team. This included four hotel stays and 9 guides. We had non-stop fun! We had never been to the Basque Country and San Sebastián. The Most Stress-Free Trip We've Ever Had My wife and I have been lucky enough to travel to many places around the world, but our April-2025 journey organized by Your Trip to Spain and Portugal was easily one of the best. Ana and her team thought of every detail. All we had to was show up and enjoy these two beautiful countries! We went to 4 cities: Lisbon, Porto, San Sebastian and Barcelona. The itineraries were thoughtfully planned to give us great experiences without wearing us out too much. And the guides in each city were fun, knowledgeable and engaging. We had a wonderful trip to Spain, visiting so many special places in various cities and towns. Ana and her team did a fabulous job helping us to plan, then taking care of every detail of our trip with many reservations, accommodations, and experiences. Our trip to Spain and Portugal was amazing! We visited Lisbon and Algarve in Portugal. Then we visited Seville, Cadiz, Granada, Ronda and finally Barcelona. We are so glad we went with Zicasso and specifically Ana Calvera. She listened to what we wanted and planned an amazing trip. We would not have changed a single thing. From the time we were met at the airport until we boarded our flight home, the trip was flawless. . Our guides along the way were very friendly and knowledgeable. Every year four of us go on a trip. One person chooses and it's a secret until New Year's Eve. This was my year, and I chose Portugal so that we could celebrate my wife's 70th birthday in style. It was terrific. Paty at YourTriptoSpainandPortugal.com was very helpful in planning the trip and answering questions. Our guide Alexandre was a highlight for me. I loved the trip to Nazere'. It reminded me of Southern California. Hiking to the eastern most spot in Europe was great too. If you are a cook, be sure to hire Vitor and have him teach you to cook Portuguese! Here are the comments from the others that went on the trip: Connie: A wonderful trip, beautiful country with lovely people, historic landmarks and eye-popping landscapes. We saw it all. Alex was particularly interesting and helpful throughout the trip. He was ready for any question we asked. His knowledge and passion for his country made our adventures interesting. Hotel in Lisbon was great. Staff very accommodating. Tours in Portal were highlights. Boat cruise gave incredible views of endless rows of grapes slanted on steep hillsides. Vineyard with lunch was fabulous. excellent host. Breathtaking view from the top of the river valley. Walking tour of Portal and lunch was great. Marlene very engaging. Cooking class was a ten. Fish market and cooking with Vitor was a true experience. Only one downside-the first night in Lisbon was tough. Too much walking after a long flight. A nice dinner close to the hotel or motor transport to Faldo dinner would be preferred. Paul: Overall, I thought the trip was great. We saw many natural scenic parts of Portugal and were able to get an understanding of their history and culture. The guides were excellent, Alex in particular was extremely knowledgeable and obviously cared about our well-being and our Portugal experience. Both the cooking day in Porto and the trip to the Douro valley were highlights of the trip for me. Suggestions I could offer would be to ease off somewhat on the first day. We were fortunate to have lounge chairs by the pool at the hotel to relax after arriving. The all night flight, without much sleep, makes it hard to enjoy an action packed first day. Maybe the Fado dinner would’ve been better enjoyed on a subsequent night in Lisbon. Portugal has to be high on the list of return visits. Mary: I second what Paul said. First days are hard to schedule. I think the Fado dinner was great but walking to it at the end of any of the days would have been hard. On the first day some sort of motorized broader look at Lisbon might have worked better, followed by the Fado dinner. Overall it was a wonderfully organized well-paced trip. It certainly does put Portugal on the top of the go back to list. And the trip organizers on the top of the list to contact if planning a trip to Spain.

The agency is a great example of management and support. They supported my organization and I to find the best places to go to, when we were unsure. They catered exactly to our needs and also supported us throughout the period and were very patient. Sarah and Marta were great support throughout and were kind. YTTPS has now organized a three week tour of Spain (16 people) and a two week tour of Portugal (19 people)for our BMW Club Southern Alberta Canada. Each tour was awesome with top rated guides, tours, hotels, meals, transportation when required and many pleasant and unexpected features. The Planning, Coordination and use of the AXUS App plus any required assistance before, during and after the tour made the Tour effortless due to the high professionalism.

We are a Calgary based car club and have arranged group driving tours throughout Europe. We used Ana and her team for our 2023 Spain tour and were so impressed that we immediately planned for our 2025 Portugal tour with them. I can say without a doubt that YTTSP has been our best agency and plan to use them again in the near future for Northern Spain. Their choice of hotels, tours, guides, were exceptional. As a car club, their helpful suggestions for sightseeing along the way made our journey so much more enjoyable and memorable than if we had to stumble on our own. For our two group meals, their recommended restaurants were entertaining, tasteful and was a great way to start and end our journey together. I can not over emphasize how impressed our entire group was with their abilities and highly recommend them for individual travelers as well as large groups like ours.

Exceptional every step of the way. The accommodations selected for us were top notch and well-situated. The guides they work with (food and general city walking tours) were engaging, knowledgeable and fun to be with. A live person was available and responsive whenever issues arose (dropping off luggage before rooms were ready, coordinating pick-ups, adjusting to a late schedule change). We had a spectacular week-long 3 city family vacation in Spain and I highly recommend them.

Having never used Elsewhere, we had a little bit of sticker shock when we saw the initial pricing and wondered if we were going to get the value for our 30th Anniversary trip to Spain. However, after 16 glorious and worry-free days, we feel Sara Gámez and the team on the ground exceeded our expectations with a wonderfully planned trip that took us from Madrid to the incredibly beautiful cities and villages in Andalusia and then on to the beach coves and quaint towns along the Mediterranean in Costa Brava. Too many amazing experiences to name all but highlights definitely included tapas and spirits tour of Madrid, Flamenco and more tapas in Seville, an immersive Sherry experience and the most incredibly prepared lunch by the wife of a charming vineyard owner outside Jerez, the view of Toledo from the hillside, gazing out at the stunning beauty of Costa Brava from kayaks along the rugged Mediterranean coast. Excellent guides and drivers and the agency was always there to support if we needed anything. Highly, highly recommend.

This company is over the top wonderful from start to finish! They provided service from day one helping us decide on itinerary , hotels and anything else we wanted. They took the time to go through many options and sent great descriptions of all the possibilities. It was so nice to communicate with a trusted Agency personally. All our plans were on the AXUS app which was so nice to review the night before excursions, It included pick up times, driver and guide name and contact etc. It was a flawless trip! Once we had our plan completed they were ALWAYS available for any questions or concerns we may have. They would communicate often during our trip through Whats app just to make sure all is well and let us know they were there if we needed anything. Our trip was amazing. Very pleased with the customized trip pulled together by Merce at Luxury Travel. The hotels selected were very well located and the private tours and excursions she selelcted were exactly what we were looking for and expected. The restuarant recommendations were right on the money. I really like the app they use to put every detail of the trip at your finger tips as well as directions for all restuarants and tours. It was also a very nice touch to continue to get check in notes from Merce and her associates.

Ana and YTTS&P orchestrated an exciting and memorable family trip to Spain. We were able to experience activities and places we never would have found or been able to do on our own, and the guides and vendors selected were all top notch. Some of our activities included a tour of Gaudi sites in Barcelona, kayaking off the Costa Brava followed by a seaside lunch, and a cooking class in San Sebastián that included a trip to local markets to buy our ingredients. Being greeted at our flight or hotel/apartment door for transfers and personalized tours was an enjoyable luxury! I think of myself as a good family vacation planner, but this was next-level.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would!!!! My husband and I went to Portugal using the expertise of Ana from Your Trip to Spain & Portugal. From our initial conversation until our return home, Ana was exceptional in customer service and details! She made the entire process seamless and easy! She listened to what our interests are and applied them to every step of our trip! We went from Lisbon to the Algarve to Porto with MANY beautiful stops in between!! She timed each of our stays in each city just right! She scheduled tours for us to our taste and each one was absolutely perfect! All guides were punctual in picking us up in extremely clean and comfortable cars and were so informative and friendly not to mention helpful!!! We absolutely had the time of our lives!!! So many memories were made in the past 10 days!! Too many pictures to post, but here are a few.

It is important to see all the sites you've read about and requested, but we were shown these with enthusiasm and never boring or laboriously. Our agent answered every request promptly. We had the whatsapp contact information for our agent, another agent, the transfer drivers(from airport and train station) and the local guides and emergency information, as well. Each time we texted a question or request it was very quickly answered and with specific detail. Our agent worked tirelessly with us to fill the hotel needs for our trip. They were so nice and in wonderful locations. This company also worked with us regarding our travel budget and other time restraints. Were there any negative issues? NO!!!

Our experience with Ana arranging our 2 week+ trip to Spain was great. We gave her our budget and a loose itinerary and told her of our interest in a few things. She filled in the rest. Every little detail was included and taken care of. The hotels were perfect; friendly staff, nice breakfasts and clean rooms with great bathrooms and comfy beds. Ana booked fabulous guides and drivers who showed us important and interesting sites. No need to take public transportation because she booked drivers for us for all events. She even booked some incredible meals (favorite local Tapas dinner, lunch on a patio overlooking the Mediterranean Sea) and experiences (Flamenco, hikes along the Atlantic Ocean) for us. Ana took care of everything including our travel inside Spain that included drivers, a high speed train and a flight. One thing that I can't emphasize enough was the care and concern the whole agency showed when my husband had a medical emergency. They very quickly were in touch with us, found the right doctor for him to see and got us in right away. If not for their quick work, we might have spent the best part of a day in an ER. They also checked up on my husband to make sure he was OK several times during the rest of the trip. Because of Ana's attention to detail, we had a stress-free and totally enjoyable vacation in Spain!

We recently returned from a group trip to Barcelona. The trip was a huge success, in large part, thanks to the planning and organization of Ana, Patricia and Merce. The communication was excellent. All the arrangements happened on schedule. Overall, very professional and very smooth. I would certainly work with them again for future travel to Spain and/or Portugal. My husband and I had the most enjoyable experience visiting Spain and using YOUR TRIP TO SPAIN & PORTUGAL to arrange a 7 day itinerary specifically tailored for us. From the medieval town of Alquezar in the Pyrenees to 5 days in Barcelona…It takes a minimum of 5 days, I believe to just get acquainted with the basics of Barcelona. Picasso Museum, Costa Brava, Guell Park and Sagrada Familia, Montserrat, wine tastings, walking tours, food tasting tours…We had such marvelous tour friends (“guide” doesn’t do them justice) like Laura and Emma, and our wonderful driver Vardan. We never had to worry about transportation, how do get there, how do we get back…we were picked up and delivered like clockwork…and always felt safe. Laura and Emma are so knowledgeable and shared so much information and so many stories. We are still in touch with them today. Ana and all the ladies that helped us during our stay in Spain were lovely. I used WhatsApp to easily communicate with them while we were in Spain. They were always so quick to answer that I joked with them that they replied to my message BEFORE I sent it! I am grateful that a friend of mine told me about YOUR TRIP TO SPAIN & PORTUGAL….they can put together a trip for you while taking away all the hassle. If I ever go back to Spain, I’m definitely calling them!

Huge thanks to Patricia we had the most amazing trip to Spain in 2022. We are a family of three, my teenage daughter, husband and I. She interviewed us to gauge our interests and provide a carefully curated schedule that allowed us an amazing introduction to varied culture that is Spain, ranging from architecture, art, history, viticulture, bicycle tours of the Gothic quarter and my most fun memories was the Boqueria food market guided tour and cooking workshop. The chef was so entertaining and knowledgeable, he made the experience so enjoyable from young to older! We were in Spain for my nieces wedding which had been postponed, Patricia set up all the logistics for transport and the vehicles were spotless and the drivers were first rate and ALWAYS on time! She even helped me to retrieve my daughters clothes which she had forgotten to pack when we left Barcelono to go to Girona for the wedding, did I mention she is a teenager! The Monument hotel in Barcelona was fabulous, we loved the roof top restaurant and swimming pool. The staff were amazing, so helpful and engaging, it was a perfect place to relax after sight seeing and ideally located to wander around Barcelona and enjoy the restaurants. After the wedding Patricia recommended we spend some time @ the Costa Brava. The Hotel Terramar is perfectly located adjacent to the beach, the staff were so personable, the the suite we had overlooking the Mediterranean was breathtaking. My husband loves to sail and Patricia had arranged for us and the newly weds to go sailing however my husband became very ill while on that trip. It was a scary time. The Captain of the ship responded immediately took us back to shore and did not leave our side. He even drove us back to the hotel where we were provided medical attention. The value of an expert can really be assessed when things go south and had it not been for Patricia and her relationships with the captain I know we would have been in a much more vulnerable situation. My husband is a physician and is never ill, even he was worried. We had to adjust the itinerary because of his ill health we extended our stay @ Llfranc and skipped the trip to Seville, no olive oil tour or flamenco dancing. Thanks to Patricia for re organizing all of these events. Luckily we were able to enjoy the last leg of our trip to Madrid for a visit with my niece. We had an illuminating guided tour with a leather artisan one day and the following day planned a guided tour of the Habsburg quarter & Royal Palace but due to an unexpected G7 meeting we instead had the most wonderful day with our tour guide who was both entertaining, articulate and an expert! She took us to see a less touristy side of Madrid.We loved her insights! Would definitely enjoy taking a tour with her again! She even arranged for us to see a Flamenco performance! The only disappointment was our hotel in Madrid H10 Villa de la Reina it was poorly maintained and quite shabby compared to all the other wonderful places we stayed. I had asked for an iron and it never got delivered. I would without doubt recommend working with Patricia she is a wonderful ambassador for her country and made our trip memorable and so much fun. I will be reaching out to her again !

YourTriptoSpainandPortugal was a terrific travel agency. Not only did they plan wonderful guided tours and easy airport transfers, they were extremely helpful with an emergency situation we had. They located a local store to buy crutches, which saved our trip! Throughout the planning process and during our trip, everyone in the office was responsive and helpful. I highly recommend booking with them!

Our trip to Spain was excellent thanks to Ana and her team. When we arrived in Spain, our driver was there to take us from the airport to the hotel but the best part was when we arrived at the hotel, we received a package with a cell phone, a charger, Anna and her team’s phone numbers programmed in to the phone along with our itinerary. There was a folder with all our paperwork including train tickets and tickets for i0country plane travel. Everything was in chronological order. My husband’s nerves melted away when he always was able to see what the next day held as it was explained in the itinerary and the tickets were already in hand. The individual tours were led by amazing guides-intelligent, knowledgeable and willing to share their own stories making it easy to connect with them and have great conversations. Their knowledge satisfied my brain and their personalities touched my heart. I loved the Gaudi architecture in Barcelona, the beauty of San Sebastián and feel of the place in the Alhambra in Granada and discussion of Spain’s rich Moorish history and how the world’s 3 great religions met and fought and often made a productive peace producing scholarship on the Iberian Peninsula. Our side trips to a cheese-making farm and an olive oil farm were utterly amazing- so interesting and the people were warm and friendly. Our experience was so flawless that I hope I can clone Ana and her team to other companies to which we travel.

My whole experience working with Paty was excellent. She put together a two week trip in Spain for myself and eight family members of varying ages all traveling together . From my first conversation with Paty I knew she was “ the one” . She quickly proposed ideas, options and recommendations to get the ball rolling . Through out the whole process she was very responsive , including the two weeks we were traveling in Spain . We just returned from a three week trip with YourTripToSpain&Portugal. We simply cannot say enough wonderful things about Ana and her team. The guides were all helpful, friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to share their love of their city and country. The food and wine were exceptional and reasonable. I simply cannot speak highly enough of YourTripToSpain&Portugal. We are already planning to return, and we will absolutely use their services again.

Our experience working with Patricia was AMAZING. Through just a couple conversations and a few emails, she constructed the itinerary and once we approved it, she made all the reservations and arrangements for us. This included hotel reservations, travel arrangements between locations, and tour guides for multiple excursions. Then, once we arrived in country, a local phone was provided by Patricia to be in touch during our trip with any questions or last minute changes. Trip highlights include: - Wonderful guided tour of La Sagrada Familia and Park Guell - Fun guided tour of Monserrat and two wineries with Marianna of Winenium - Insanely picturesque room overlooking the cove of Llfranc in Costa Brava - Delightful day tour of Rioja with tastings at two wineries - Incredible guided tour of San Sebastián that included a delicious pintxos tour And, the award for best tour of the trip goes to Diego who picked us up in San Sebastián, showcased the Basque coastline and Basque history and culture through the course of the day. Included in our day was a stop at Ameztoi, a Txakoli winery with absolutely stunning views from the winery overlooking the ocean.

Ana and Patricia did a wonderful job planning our trip to Spain. Our group of 6 told them what we wanted to see while visiting Spain and they planned a perfect vacation for us. Local guides were excellent, we stayed at beautiful hotels that were centrally located. We were always in contact with them for any change in plans. Our trip was perfect!

I cannot provide enough superlatives that capture how beautifully my family's trip to Spain, (and side trip to France) unfolded.  While well traveled, in the past two years (like most) I have felt overwhelmed and didn't feel up to planning every single detail of my family of four's trip to Barcelona and the Pyrenees. I decided it would be nice to have a little bit of help "in country", in connecting some of the dots and details. That said, I didn't have very high hopes because in the past I have tried a couple of travel agents and been sorely disappointed. Well… from the very first encounter with Patricia to our last communication upon arriving back in the States, I could not have been more blown away by the excellence and professionalism offered by Your Trip to Spain and Portugal. Patricia was so intuitive from the get-go. She started to get a real sense of our travel preferences and really ran with it. She suggested hotels but knew that I had done a lot of research and respected my considerations, providing constructive feedback. We had such a wonderful back-and-forth regarding selections and I was so impressed at her savvy, warmth, and kindness. I always felt throughout the 7 or 8 weeks of planning that Patricia had my back with every detail. She used a wonderful online platform to communicate every detail of the itinerary, including what was and was not included in the final cost proposal. Our trip was only 9 days and fairly full. I always felt confident, though, because Patricia had placed the entire detailed itinerary right on the cell phone she provided upon our first hotel check in. An in-country local phone might seem like the smallest detail, but it was seriously the smartest travel extra I've ever been given! It saved using up our own phones' data, we could access all of our tickets and confirmation numbers and, and I could text Patricia on it at any time. It was unreal how quickly I would hear back from her. What travel agent is that responsive any time of the day or evening?! We centered in Barcelona, with side trips to  Montserrat, the Pyrenees for skiing, the coast, Girona, Perpignan, France, and Port Aventura. So much of it was simply stunning, and always culturally-enriching. There were quite a few times that questions would arise, due to language barrier or a typical international travel snafu, and my husband and I were absolutely blown away at the convenience of having that phone and the agency's attentiveness. Patricia would think of a suggestion for a dinner reservation and make it intuitively, just knowing that places would be filling up around the holidays. Then she would check in with me as to whether we were interested. We always were. I just felt like she read my mind and was saving me the trouble; so refreshing not to have to be "Mom the Travel Director" every minute!  Her business partner Ana and the driver, Omar, they assigned to us for all of our transiting, pick-ups and drop offs (except for when we rented our own car) were also fabulously professional, sharp, and proactive. Some real challenges were presented because of changing Covid protocols and requirements, and I thought it spoke volumes that Patricia's team were so adaptable and helpful in overcoming these obstacles (twice very late in the evening!), making it as easy as possible for us. Whether just to check in that all was going well, or calls and texts related to troubleshooting (including a last minute need for verbal directions into a mountain-top hotel parking lot, since GPS died & access appeared closed), the level of enthusiasm and responsiveness from Patricia (and once, Ana) was almost shocking.  Such an incredibly high bar was set that I'm almost afraid to arrange a trip to a different part of the world because I will miss her level of service! Perhaps a trip to Portugal or the Canaries is in our future, since this trip was so seamless. Do not hesitate- in fact, RUN to arrange a trip to Spain or Portugal and request Patricia and her company Your Trip to Spain and Portugal!!

Our goal was to take our two young boys to see an FC Barcelona game for Spring Break, the timing also coincided with my Husband and our youngest's birthdays. While my Husband and I have traveled the world...throughout Europe, Africa and Asia...we had not yet taken our boys abroad and we had yet to ever visit Spain. We were hoping to see all of the historical and cultural highlights, in a way that could be fun for our boys and not have to stress about where to go and how to get there. We found Ana and she crafted the most amazing itinerary for us - the Pyrenees & medieval villages, the gorgeous coast of Costa Brava (our boys LOVE going to beaches!!!) and the very special city of Barcelona. I could wax poetic about every single special thing that Ana planned for us - but that would spoil the fun should you plan with her. :) Our breath was taken away every single day. Ana coordinated every detail of our trip - from our two drivers to our two guides. My Husband and I raved at how each of the people she chose for us were so knowledgeable about the areas we visited - from the Pyrenees, to Dali's house, to La Sagrada Familia - and were such lovely human beings too. I mean...the two drivers and the guide that we spent the most time with...they felt like family at the end of the trip, they were that wonderful. Ana also worked with our budget and was incredibly intuitive about what she thought would resonate activity wise. The experience in working with Ana and YourTripToSpain makes me wish that she and her team specialized in the entire world...because if I had a choice, I would love to work with Ana for all future trips everywhere! We highly recommend YourTripToSpain. You will be thrilled with your trip and will have unforgettable memories.
